That was a big chance for Palace. Eze does really well to step back from the Brighton defenders. He looks to try and drop it into that near post area and it loops just past the post.

There are a couple of really interesting battles going on. Van Hecke against Mateta is a real physical battle and then on the other side there is Trevoh Chalobah and Mitoma. So far, Chalobah has done really well to contain him.

It's a brilliant ball from Mitchell and he whips it in early. Lamptey makes a mistake going for the man, it pops up for Mitchell who whips it in and it drops to that far post area and it's a simple header into the back of the net.

Brighton have won their last two Premier League home games against Crystal Palace, last winning more consecutive home league games against the Eagles between 1979 and 1988 (7).
Crystal Palace are winless in their last six league games against Brighton (D4 L2), their longest run without a victory against the Seagulls since a run of 10 between 1979 and 1986.
Since the start of last season, only Brentford (38) have both scored and conceded in more Premier League matches than Brighton and Hove Albion (37), with the Seagulls doing so in 10 of their last 11 games, including each of their last seven.
Crystal Palace are unbeaten in their last three away Premier League games (W1 D2), last enjoying a longer unbeaten run between January and March 2022 (five). Palace are also looking for consecutive away wins for the first time since April 2023.
