  1. goal

    GOAL - Arsenal 2-1 PSV Eindhoven (9-2 agg)published at 37 mins

    Declan Rice (Arsenal)

This is a very good game and this is a very good goal.

All credit to Raheem Sterling. He's largely been on the Gunners fringes since joining on loan from Chelsea but gets his second assist of the day.

Down the right wing, he takes on and beats two PSV Eindhoven players, gets to the byeline, hangs up an excellent cross and Declan Rice, charging in from deep, meets it with a bullet header to make it 2-1 on the night and 9-2 overall.

  2. Real have not had a sniffpublished at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March

Atletico Madrid 1-0 Real Madrid (agg: 2-2)

    Stephen Warnock
Former Aston Villa defender on MOTD: UEFA Champions League

Real still can't get through this Atletico low press. Atletico are still doubling up on Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior out wide and not allowing them any one on ones.

Kylian Mbappe is being very closely marked and Jude Bellingham has been crowded out too, and it all means Real have not had a sniff.

You can hear more from Warnock on MOTD: Uefa Champions League at 22:40 BST on BBC One and the BBC Sport website and app.

Thibaut Courtois gets down low to save an Antoine Griezmann strike.

The home side look most likely to score the next goal.

  4. 'Villa struggling to deal with Club Brugge'published at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March

Aston Villa 0-0 Club Brugge (agg 3-1)

    Matthew Upson
Former Arsenal and Brighton defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's almost like Aston Villa are struggling to get used to the positions of this Club Brugge team and it's got worse since they went down to 10 men because they've tweaked it.

I think Villa are a little bit standoffish at the moment and aren't taking control of this game at home.

  5. 'Goal changed the way Atletico set up'published at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March

Atletico Madrid 1-0 Real Madrid (agg 2-2)

    Steve McManaman
Former Real Madrid winger on TNT Sports

The elephant in the room for Real Madrid is the goal that they conceded after 30 seconds.

It immediately changed the way Atletico Madrid set up. As soon as they scored they retreated.

Aston Villa 0-0 Club Brugge (agg 3-1)

How good are Club Brugge? Chemsdine Talbi cuts in from the right and shoots but it's an easy stop for Emiliano Martinez.

Arsenal 1-1 PSV Eindhoven (agg 8-2)

    Lucy Ward
Former Leeds striker on TNT Sports

It looked like there was a push in there on Myles Lewis-Skelly. He got there first, but there wasn't a lot in it.

  8. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March

Arsenal 1-1 PSV Eindhoven (agg 8-2)

Myles Lewis-Skelly has a chance for Arsenal, his shot is partially saved by Walter Benitez and that contact is enough to take the ball on to the foot of the post instead of creeping in.

Lewis-Skelly is then bundled off the ball, but no penalty and not too many complaints. There may have been more complaints if it had not been 8-2.

Just talking about Villa's first ever european game against Royal Antwerp. I was at that game, Louis Van Gaal played for Antwerp, on loan from Ajax.....

Aston Villa 0-0 Club Brugge (agg 3-1)

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Villa Park

Aston Villa just cannot get going here while Club Brugge seem prepared to play a game of patience as they try to overturn a 3-1 deficit.

As a side note, the Brugge fans are displaying a wide command of unprintable English as they aim some taunts towards their Villa counterparts.

Quality defending from Club Brugge's Joel Ordonez to stop Ollie Watkins racing onto a through ball. The defender gets himself in the way of the Villla striker well.

Club Brugge are having a good crack at it and are playing some lovely football.

They've been really comfortable and composed on the ball.

Atletico Madrid are more than happy as it is. They are a side that will defend and defend and defend.

Real Madrid need to be a bit more creative to open them up.

Aston Villa 0-0 Club Brugge (agg 3-1)

    Nick Mashiter
BBC Sport football news reporter at Villa Park

The red card has killed the game as a spectacle - unless 10-man Brugge are able to conjure something dramatic. The visitors had been showing real intent in the opening 15 minutes but the jeopardy just isn't there for Villa right now.
