No surprise Arsenal made a lot of changes, good to see Ben White get some important minutes which he wouldn't have got if this tie was tighter.

How soft was that Dortmund penalty, if that happened outside the box the ref is waving play on I reckon

  6. 'Brugge will play into Villa's hands'published at 19:00 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March

Aston Villa v Club Brugge (20:00 GMT, agg 3-1)

    Matthew Upson
Former Arsenal and Brighton defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

It was a shame for Club Brugge to lose 3-1 because they played really well and probably should've been ahead when Villa got their second, and then the really loose penalty for the third made this game so difficult for them to approach.

They're going to have to come out and have a real go and that could play into Villa's hands here this evening.

  16. 'Hopefully the Villa adventure continues'published at 18:46 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March

Aston Villa v Club Brugge (20:00 GMT, agg 3-1)

    Garry Thompson
Former Aston Villa forward on BBC Radio 5 Live

These are special nights at Villa Park. We beat Bayern Munich and the atmosphere that night was superb. A night game at Villa Park is very, very special, and in the Champions League there's an added bonus to it.

The fact that we're playing again tonight and this could take us into the quarter-finals, the place is buzzing, people are really looking forward to it.

For a lot of the players it's a new experience for them. As soon as Unai Emery walked in here, for the last two years we've been improving.

We've got to the point where we got to the Conference League, into the Champions League and we are improving in the Champions League.

Basically, it is an adventure at the minute. They're enjoying the adventure and hopefully, it continues for a long while to come.

"It all comes down to knowing your enemy and fortunately PSV didn't know us too well [last week] and played into our hands.

"We are enjoying this competition and this part of the season but everything else has been a bit upside down and we have not got the results we were expecting."
