    Sheff Wed 2-0 Norwich

It's Wednesday on the front foot after the break, forcing an early corner, but Shea Charles's inswinger is cleared by Shane Duffy, with Dominic Iorfa getting a bang on the head in the contest.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2024

    Bristol City 0-0 Sheff Utd

The home side have made a change at the break and it's striker Nahki Wells who is off for Sinclair Armstrong.

Could he break the deadlock in this one?

It's been a tough watch for Argyle fans and Portsmouth have been really, really aggressive. They made it really difficult, but I think Argyle played into their hands, we played it too short and have not mixed the game up enough.

When they have played long and tried to go from there they have looked the better side Argyle. I think Wayne Rooney will be really disappointed with the performance but relieved they are going in at half-time at 0-0.

They have got all to play for in the second half.

We're starting to get back under way in the 19:45 games in the Championship and League One.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:49 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2024

    Swansea 1-0 Watford

Swansea's Myles Peart-Harris scores from close range against WatfordImage source, PA Media

Myles Peart-Harris' first Swans goal, prodding home from close-range after a Ronald header across the box, separates the sides at the break.

Swansea's first home goal since September, and nothing more than they have deserved - Peart-Harris also saw an acrobatic volley saved and another low strike hit the base of the post.

Watford need a second half like they produced at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday...

  6. Postpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2024

    HT: Plymouth 0-0 Portsmouth

    Brent Pilnick
    BBC Sport at Home Park

If you want the definition of 'one-sided' you could not do much better than watch this first half again.

Portsmouth have been head and shoulders the better side - they seem to have more desire creativity than Argyle.

But they have not turned that dominance into goals, and you fear that may come back to bite them as surely Plymouth will not be as bad after the break?

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:46 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2024

    Plymouth 0-0 Portsmouth

Nothing doing in this game between two strugglers.

The away side have had the better of it and Wayne Rooney will need to shake things up at the break if his side are to take anything from this.

  8. Postpublished at 20:46 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2024

    Swansea 1-0 Watford

Kyle Naughton looks for all the world as though he's brought Vakoun Bayo down on the edge of the box but referee Josh Smith sees it the other way, much to Watford's disgust.

An enraged Edo Kayembe picks up possession after the restart and drives forward before seeing a 20-yard blast cannon wide off a defender, though the corner fails to beat the first man.

  9. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:43 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2024

    Swansea 1-0 Watford

Miles Peart-Harris drives towards the edge of the box but has the ball pinched off his toe by teammate Goncalo Franco who sweeps a low strike across goal which Daniel Bachmann flops to his right to claim.

Peart-Harris looks at Franco with something approaching distaste, I think it's fair to say.

    Swansea 1-0 Watford

    Gareth Vincent
BBC Sport Wales at the Swansea.com Stadium

Swansea have their first home goal since September and it is richly deserved.

Having been sharper than Watford both in and out of possession, Luke Williams' team have their lead thanks to Myles Peart-Harris' first goal for the club.

Like a few of the Welsh club's summer signings, the on-loan Brentford player has taken time to get going in a Swansea shirt - but has really started to look the part in his last couple of outings.

  11. 'Decent performances, but not outstanding'published at 20:42 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2024

HT: Bristol City 0-0 Sheff Utd

    Danny Hall
    Summariser on BBC Radio Sheffield

I've enjoyed the first half and its been pretty even in terms of the chances for both sides.

Both teams will look at that and say they should of converted from a United perspective they have had more of the attacking impetus.

There has been some decent performances, but not outstanding. The likes of Andre Brooks on the right-hand side has done well without much joy. But Bristol City have dealt with it pretty comfortably, so far.

  12. League One latestpublished at 20:42 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2024

Elsewhere in the EFL, Wycombe go into the half-time break leading Stockport by 3-0, courtesy of a Richard Kone double.

It's hardly fireworks in the other League One fixture, as Burton and Crawley are level at 0-0, with few chances worth talking about.

The home side are right up against it here.

Daniel Grimshaw makes a fine save to deny Matt Ritchie's diving header at the back post.

    Myles Peart-Harris (35 mins)

... yet! The home drought is over too.

Not the best defending from Watford, in truth, Josh Key takes a touch and curls a deep cross from the right to the back post where Ronald, who looks a touch offside if I'm honest, nods back across goal for the sliding Myles Peart-Harris to prod home his first Swans goal at the far post.

Watford won't like it, but the hosts probably deserve it. No VAR in the Championship, remember.

  15. HALF TIMEpublished at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2024

    Oxford 0-0 Hull

Oxford's Greg Leigh on the ball against HullImage source, Rex Features

Until the final few minutes of that half it seemed Hull would've been the most disappointed of the two sides, especially with the number of chances they had...

Kasey Palmer fired over the Oxford crossbar, and Bachir Belloumi's curling effort pinged off the post.

However, those missed opportunities could have come back to bite the away side when Ter Avest directed a close-range header towards the Hull goal, forcing Pandur into a late save.

  16. Postpublished at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2024

    Swansea 0-0 Watford

Watford having just a little spell of pressure. Giorgi Chakvetadze, socks around his ankles, like a 70s throwback, is a class apart when he's on it, and he's drifting around and whipping balls into the box like he might fancy it tonight.

Swansea began the brighter and have had by far the better openings, but once again, they have nothing to show for it.. yet.

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2024

Middlesbrough celebrate going 2-0 up against QPRImage source, PA Media

QPR's search for a first home win of the season looks like it will be going on.

Goals from Riley McGree and Tommy Conway have the visitors in full control of this one, although the R's have forced some smart saves from former keeper Seny Dieng since going 2-0 down.

Didn't seem likely that this one would be high-scoring and... it isn't.

The Blades, who will go second with a win, saw Gus Hamer's shot smash the inside of the post and come out.

  19. Postpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2024

    QPR 0-2 Middlesbrough

    Chris Peddy
    BBC Sport at Loftus Road

This game has exploded into life.

Ben Doak uses great skill and quick feet to set up the opener for Riley McGree.

Marti Cifuentes won't be happy with the ease that Boro cut through the QPR lines for the second so soon after conceding the first.

But his side have responded well and would be on the scoreboard but for some stunning goalkeeping from Seny Dieny, who has produced some magnificent saves to twice deny Kieran Morgan, as well as Nicolas Madsen's curling shot and Jonathan Varane's diving header.

A highly entertaining last 15 minutes in this first half.

    Sheff Wed 2-0 Norwich

Danny Rohl will be delighted with that response to Saturday's 6-2 humbling.

Ike Ugbo missed the sitter of all sitters but Josh Windass slotted home after Marvin Johnson's sublime through-ball and Dominic Iorfa headed home a second, though City keeper George Long likely won't want to see either of them again.

Owls well on top at the break...
