    Swansea v Watford (20:00 GMT)

Watford head to Swansea this evening eyeing a place in the top four and within four points of leaders Sunderland.

Vakoun Bayo scored four goals in 30 second-half minutes as the Hornets thumped Sheffield Wednesday 6-2 on Saturday.

The Swans ended a six-match goal drought with victory at Oxford on the same afternoon but, still, only six goals have been scored in total across Swansea's past five home games.

Watford are winless in their past eight midweek games, claiming only three points, and have lost both floodlit games this season, while the win at Hillsborough ended a run of six straight defeats on the road in all competitions.

While goals have been hard to come by, the Swans were unbeaten in five league games at home before losing 1-0 to Millwall in the most recent home game and know a win would lift them up from 12th to the fringe of the play-off places.

Yesterday marked one year to the day since Marti Cifuentes' first game in charge of QPR.

Three wins at the end of the season ensured the R's avoided Championship relegation last season but just one victory this season means only Portsmouth sit below them in the league table.

A run of four straight defeats has been followed by three consecutive points and the Hoops will be desperate to get their first league win since August in front of their fans here tonight.

"The fans have been amazing since day one," Cifuentes writes in his programme notes.

"The energy our supporters give to the team is amazing. To have this relationship with the supporters as well as the players is the most enjoyable aspect of my job here."

Middlesbrough come into the game off the back of a 3-0 home defeat to Coventry. Michael Carrick's have 18 points and sit 11th in the league.

Both teams claimed 2-0 away wins in this fixture last season. Fireworks are going off outside the stadium, will we get some on the pitch?

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has said that their full focus is on Bristol City and not ahead to their derby clash with Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday:

"I've not thought about it at all. I've not thought about Sunday at all, in terms of selection, the whole process has gone into Bristol City, because they are a really good side and we can't look any further.

"Everything's getting put into Bristol City, because of their record. They have an unbeaten record for a few games now. With a lot of energy, good players, and being well coached it is a difficult place to go and get a result.

"They drew at Leeds and beat Middlesbrough. They are a good side, so if we take our eye of the ball in any way, shape, or form we will get hurt. We have to be at our best."

In the nine seasons since Bristol City were promoted back to the Championship the highest they've finished in the second tier is eighth.

They're looking to finally break that wait for a Premier League push this season and are going the right way about it with no defeats in their past eight games.

Visitors Sheffield United will surely test that tonight though.

The Blades, who have kept nine clean sheets in their 13 league games this campaign, will go back up to second with a victory.

    Oxford vs Hull (19:45 GMT)

It’s been a strange old start to the season for Championship newcomers Oxford United, whose unbeaten home record was finally ended by Swansea City on Saturday.

Until then the Kassam Stadium had not seen defeat in the league since April, and yet they sit just two points above the relegation zone, without a win since the start of September.

Hull, too, have struggled for form in recent months, dropping points in a disappointing fashion against bottom of the table Portsmouth over the weekend.

Three points for either side could revitalise stalling campaigns, but to do that Hull would have to win at Oxford, something they haven’t managed since 1 November 1975, 49 years ago.

  6. Goals in the air as Owls host Canaries?published at 19:15 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November

Sheffield Wednesday v Norwich (19:45 GMT)

Sheffield Wednesdayand Norwich have shared a whopping 23 goals in their past five meetings ahead of tonight's clash at Hillsborough.

Both sides will be looking to bounce back after defeat on Saturday, City going down 2-1 at Cardiff City in the dying seconds while Wednesday were humbled 6-2 at home by Watford.

The Owls have taken just two points from six games against Norwich since a 5-1 drubbing in May 2018, though they are unbeaten in 18 games under the lights at Hillsborough, taking 40 points from that run.

Norwich can call on the EFL's leading scorer Borja Sainz who has 11 so far, nine in his last eight games and scored twice and assisted another in two games against Wednesday last season.

Plenty of responsibility lies with the Spaniard after four-goal Josh Sargent was ruled out until the new year by injury, joining keeper Angus Gunn and Marcelino Nunez on the sidelines.

  7. A battle at the bottom for the Brewerspublished at 19:12 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November

    Burton v Crawley (19:45 GMT)

Burton Albion interim head coach Tom HounsellImage source, Rex Features

The foot of the League One table isn’t looking pretty for Burton and Crawley, with the former yet to win a league game this season, and losing the last seven.

However, a win against non-league Scarborough in the FA Cup might just give the managerless Brewers, with Tom Hounsell in interim charge, that vital lift at precisely the moment they need it.

Things were looking less gloomy in West Sussex after Crawley picked up a huge three points against Lincoln the other week, but then they were hammered by Northampton, and nearly suffered a shock FA Cup defeat by Maidenhead on Saturday.

Both clubs are low-scoring, and tend to concede a lots of goals, so it’s anyone’s guess how this will turn out.

  8. Can Stockport stop the league’s top scorers?published at 19:09 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November

    Stockport v Wycombe (19:45 GMT)

Wycombe Wanderers manager Matt BloomfieldImage source, Rex Features

Mid-table Stockport have a mighty task tonight: to slay the Wycombe juggernaut.

Matt Bloomfield's second-placed Chairboys are the division’s highest scorers, and could go top of the table if they win by three or more goals.

Stockport, meanwhile, will take heart from their stellar 4-1 win against Reading, and the fact that Louie Barry now sits top of the League One top-scorer table with nine goals.

League One’s top scoring side against League One’s top scorer; of course it will be a 0-0, right?

    5 November.

A night for scarves, hot drinks, fireworks and bangers... and it's also Bonfire Night.

Whether you are tucked-up in the warm or out and about we have six sparkling Championship fixtures contested with those seasonal bright yellow orbs to keep you entertained this evening.

This is just one of six rounds of action in the second tier crammed into November either side of that pesky international break.

Sure, nothing can be won before the advent calendars come out, but last season's promoted teams lost just three matches between them in the month of November, so this portion of the season can go a long way to determining a club's fortunes once the clocks go forward again next spring.

We also have two games with huge significance at either end of League One on the slate tonight.

Let's see what's in store, shall we?
