    Another painful season ahead, brilliant…

  3. Rain getting heavier at Ewood Parkpublished at 16:46 BST 20 September

Blackburn 1-0 Ipswich - play suspended

The supporters have been asked to stay in their seats but the rain doesn't seem to be abating.

    If anything it's getting heavier.

The game was stopped on 80 minutes, what will they do?

  4. 'Roy Keane said carry on'published at 16:46 BST 20 September

    Derby 0-1 Preston

    Paul Gallagher
Former Preston midfielder on BBC Radio Lancashire

Apparently the Ipswich manager didn't want the game to carry on...it's funny that his side were behind at Blackburn.

I remember playing for Ipswich back in 2010 when Roy Keane was manager and it was snowing. We were 2-0 up against Leicester but you could barely move on the pitch because it was so deep.

Of course Keane absolutely insisted the game carry on. He had everyone out sweeping the pitch.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:45 BST 20 September

    Derby 0-1 Preston

Preston goal scorer and potential match winner Alfie Devine is done for the day.

Michael Smith comes on to see the game out.

  6. Postpublished at 16:44 BST 20 September

    Norwich 1-3 Wrexham

    Ooof Norwich come close.

They're trying to get a goal back to save their blushes before the final whistle, but the chances are few and far between.

Substitue Oscar Schwartau whips in a left footed cross into Jovon Makama who climbs the ladder and heads just over the bar.

Time has all but run out for the Canaries.

  7. CLOSE!published at 16:44 BST 20 September

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Charlton

Charlton captain Greg Docherty heads just over from James Bree's cross.

Sheffield United are creeping towards their first point of the season.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:41 BST 20 September

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Charlton

Nathan Jones is sending on the cavalry for the visitors as Tanto Oloafe and Harvey Knibbs are introduced late in this game.

Knibbs came off the bench to score a late, late winner for the Addicks in their first game back in the Championship.

Can the former Reading player do it again?

  9. Players off at Ewood Parkpublished at 16:40 BST 20 September

    Blackburn 1-0 Ipswich

It's pouring it down in Lancashire this afternoon and the referee decides to take the players off after 80 minutes.

The pitch is waterlogged - will they get back on?

  10. Postpublished at 16:39 BST 20 September

    Portsmouth 0-2 Sheff Wed

Sheffield Wednesday aren't done at Fratton Park.

Yan Valery has a shot from the edge of the area but Ben Killip makes the save.

We're into the last 10 minutes of the 90.

  11. Postpublished at 16:36 BST 20 September

    Portsmouth 0-2 Sheff Wed

Pompey skipper Colby Bishop gets his head on a corner but Owls keeper Ethan Horvath is equal to it to preserve his clean sheet.

    It hasn't been Pompey's day.

  12. 'Agyemang a huge difference'published at 16:35 BST 20 September

    Derby 0-1 Preston

    Eric Steele
Former Derby and Man Utd goalkeeper on BBC Radio Derby

The game has opened up completely now.

Patrick Agyemang has made a huge difference. He's spun the defenders twice and is lively. But this pressure also means our defence is more vulnerable.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:34 BST 20 September

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Charlton

More changes for the hosts as Tyrese Campbell and Callum O'Hare make way for Tom Cannon and Tahith Chong.

Still only really that Lloyd Jones header for the Addicks in the first half that has come close to a goal in a match which is looking increasingly like it's heading for a stalemate.

On the plus side, it'll be Sheffield United's first point of the season.

Last season Norwich were one of the top scorers in the league but conceded far too many. Now they struggle to score and the defensive issues are worse, Manning has to go for me or I see a relegation battle

    Glenn - Norwich

  15. Postpublished at 16:33 BST 20 September

    Derby 0-1 Preston

    Derby are pressing now.

Patrick Agyemang has been an excellent substitution and first rolls a Preston man but is subsequently denied by the keeper, then has another go a little while later but gets blocked out.

Could the USA striker be the man to bring the Rams back into this?

  16. goal

GOAL: Hull 3-0 Southamptonpublished at 16:31 BST 20 September

    Oli McBurnie (71 mins)

Hull striker Oli McBurnie heads home from eight yards out for this third goal of the season.

The ball was swung in from a free kick and the Tigers made the most of the baggy Southampton defence.

    A really well worked goal.

Saints can probably start warming up the team bus.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:29 BST 20 September

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Charlton

Chris Wilder makes his first substitutions since returning to the Blades.

Off come Ben Godfrey and Chiedozie Ogbene with Femi Seriki and Louie Barry introduced.

Twenty minutes left for someone to find a winner.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:28 BST 20 September

    Blackburn 1-0 Ipswich

Yuki Ohashi's role in the red card will be his most significant contribution as he's withdrawn for Rovers.

Andri Gudjohnsen replaces him while Ipswich make a triple change.

Sam Szmodics, Ivan Azon and Jack Clarke are introduced for Kasey McAteer, George Hirst and Jaden Philogene.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:27 BST 20 September

    Portsmouth 0-2 Sheff Wed

Sheffield Wednesday goal scorer George Brown comes off as Jamal Lowe is introduced.

Will the Owls see this one out?

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:26 BST 20 September

    Portsmouth 0-2 Sheff Wed

John Mousinho sends on Makenzie Kirk for his debut in place of Adrian Segicic as the hosts trail.

The 21-year-old moved to Fratton Park from St Johnstone in the summer, what a dream debut it would be if he could find them a route back into this game.
