    Craig Levein
St Johnstone manager on BBC Sportsound

Crazy, eh? He did a brilliant job last season but just fell at the final hurdle.

That's the way football is heading. The average time for managers is down by something like eight months, that's just what we have to put up with.

  3. Raith Rovers part ways with Murraypublished at 12:53 British Summer Time 4 August

Well, it hasn't taken long for the first managerial casualty of the season.

Ian Murray's exit from Raith Rovers comes as a major surprise after he took them to the Premiership play-off final last season as runners-up in the Championship.

The Kirkcaldy club issued a statement saying "results and performances since the turn of the year have fallen short of expectations".

  6. Dundee derby opens triple billpublished at 12:45 British Summer Time 4 August

The kick-off to the new Scottish Premiership campaign was a bit of a damp squib, with 0-0 draws at Fir Park and Tynecastle.

We have three more matches today and hopefully the goals will begin to flow.

There's a Dundee derby at Tannadice first up, followed by St Mirren v Hibs, then defending champions Celtic are at home to Kilmarnock.
