Dundee are constantly giving the ball away. They are struggling to find the quality to break United down.

Simply, they haven't been accurate or quick enough. It's laboured and it's right up Dundee United's street.

Dundee are struggling to get going in attack. Tony Docherty must be thinking about a few changes.

Trapanovski has got to score. If he does, then I don't see any way back for Dundee. They may regret not taking that chance.

Dundee were totally unorganised there. Trapanovski had the opportunity to run from his own half.

But, he didn't look confident, he's maybe too straight in his run. He just tried to dink it.

Cameron does a great job to sprint back and clear if off the line.

A lightning counter-attack cuts Dundee wide open and Kristijan Trapanovski is clean through.

The scorer of today's first goal lifts the ball over advancing keeper Jon McCracken but Lyall Cameron does brilliantly to get back and make a goal-saving interception.

Trapanovski is claiming a penalty after McCracken clattered into him. Nothing doing from the VAR nerve centre...

Jack Walton comes scurrying out of his area to clear and Dundee try to rush the throw-in to catch the goalkeeper out, but quickly cough up possession.

Dundee are really struggling to displace the back five of United, who are defending really well.

Hibs manager David Gray tells BBC Scotland: "I'm really looking forward to the first game of season. There's been a lot of had work in the last six to eight weeks to get the team prepared for this.

"Having been at this club for as long as I have, the target from the start is the season is to get European football.

"It has to improve from last season. That's for sure.

"Rudi [Molotnikov] has been a real breath of fresh air, he's really taken his opportunity and fully deserves his first start."

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Scotland: "Mark O'Hara isn't available through injury, he felt a niggle after the game [against Valur] - that's the downside of playing Thursday and Sunday.

"We believe we've got fresh replacements, Caolan [Boyd-Munce] is back fit, Mika Mandron is fit enough for the bench. We'd have made more changes if we could have done.

"This is our bread and butter and where we need to win games.

"The expectation has risen because of the quality of the players and the football they're playing. We'll have dips at times in the season, but you have to keep believing."

The game is really entertaining. It took a bit of time to settle but I've been really impressed by Dundee United.

The one player that's caught my eye more than anyone has been Miller Thomson. He's been excellent and he's been so brave.

These two meet on the first Sunday of the season for the second year running.

Last time, it was the Buddies who were celebrating after a 3-2 victory at Easter Road.

Hibs had fought back from 2-0 down, only for Alex Greive to head in a late winner on the break.

Dundee have struggled to cope with United's pace. They've not shown enough composure on the ball and there have been far too many giveaways. Really, it's been disappointing from Dundee.

Hibs topped their League Cup group but there was an embarrassing slip at Kelty Hearts along the way, which cost them a seeding.

Fans have been anxious about the lack of transfer activity, although key areas in central defence and between the sticks have been addressed.

David Gray is a club legend but won't be immune from criticism, so the Easter Road side cannot afford to repeat last season's poor start.

He names the same XI that beat Peterhead 4-0, with league debuts for summer signings Joe Bursik, Marvin Ekpiteta and Warren O'Hora.

Mykola Kuharevich, who returned to the club on loan yesterday, is on the bench.
