  2. How it stands for the British fivepublished at 22:04 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January

This is how it stands for the British clubs in the Champions League...

    • Liverpool - top, through to last 16, finishing either first or second.
    • Arsenal - third, all but through to last 16, as long as they don't get thrashed by Girona next week.
    • Aston Villa - ninth, need to win and hope results go their way to make last 16, but guaranteed at least a play-off place.
    • Celtic - 18th, guaranteed to be in at least play-offs, but unlikely to finish in top eight.
    • Manchester City - 25th, will be in the play-offs and unseeded if they beat Club Bruges at home in final match. City will be eliminated from European competition if they draw or lose against the Belgians.

All 18 matches in the final gameweek take place at the same time - 20:00 GMT on Wednesday, 29 January. Aston Villa v Celtic, Girona v Arsenal, Manchester City v Club Bruges, PSV Eindhoven v Liverpool.

  3. 'Incredible stuff'published at 21:58 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January

    FT: PSG 4-2 Man City

    Matt Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Incredible stuff here at Parc des Princes. Guardiola is going to have to pick his team up after this because to be 2-0 up and concede four goals in that manner shows the frailties. The word surprised doesn't quite cover it for how PSG have performed. Enrique's team gave it their all.
