That goal at Meadow Park means the only goalless game now is Aston Villa v Manchester City. And it's the only game where they really matter.

It's all about the goals for Gareth Taylor and with every minute that goes by you can imagine the tension is rising. Manchester City could really do to score soon and get themselves off the mark if they're to have any hope of staying in this title race.

Superb turn and finish from Katja Snoeijs.

Everton looked the more likely early on and now they lead.

A long ball is played into the edge of the box, Sara Holmgaard plays it into Snoejis and the Dutch forward spins and hits the ball low past Fran Bentley.

    Aston Villa 0-0 Manchester City

    Emma Smith
    BBC Sport at Villa Park

The Manchester City fans are crowded in one corner of Villa Park, although unusually for a present day WSL match there is no segregated away end.

At kick-off, every fan was waving a sky blue City-branded flag provided by the club. Now, the mood is rather more sombre as news of the early Chelsea goals filter through.

    Arsenal 0-0 Brighton

Arsenal are on the prowl but they've mostly been held back so far.

They're finding it difficult to get past Brighton's low block and haven't had many chances inside the box.

    Johanna Rytting Kaneryd (8 mins)

What a start! That could well be that!

Chelsea have looked so up for this from the off and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd picks up the ball in a dangerous area, she drives forward and Mary Earps comes right out of her goal to meet her.

But the Sweden forward just picks her spot and slots into the far corner past England's number one.

Argh. The ball falls nicely to Alessia Russo in the Brighton box, but she's denied by a good bit of last-ditch defending as a visitors defender sticks out their leg to block her effort.

  18. goal

GOAL - Leicester 0-1 Liverpoolpublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 18 May

    Sophie Haug (7 mins)

It's early in the game but this goal had been coming.

Liverpool work it nicely down the left and Taylor Hinds has all the time in the world to look up and put in a cross.

She picks out Sophie Haug and striker is completely unmarked as a precise header finds the bottom corner.

Matt Beard's side are well on course for a top-four finish now.

  19. 'City's front three a scary prospect'published at 15:07 British Summer Time 18 May

    Aston Villa 0-0 Man City

    Ellen White
Former England striker on BBC Two

I really like the front three - the dynamics, the relationship, the connection.

I feel like each of the three have something special. I really like they way they move, they can each play the number seven, the nine and the eleven.

Against Arsenal, I liked the way they worked together. They've all got goals in them so that will be a scary prospect for Aston Villa today.

    Oooh.

This has been a bright start from Brighton. Elisabeth Terland has a header cleared and Jorelyn Carabali fires narrowly wide after the rebound drops to her feet.
