    Omar Marmoush picks up the pass following a good run by Ilkay Gundogan, cuts in on his right and fires past Martin Dubravka, thanks to a slight deflection off Kieran Trippier.

    There was a brief check for offside, but Dan Burn played Marmoush on.

    Kieran Tripper got his angles all wrong there.

    He seemed to be in control of the situation as Ederson's long kick floated over Erling Haaland.

    But the former England defender committed himself to the header rather than continuing to cover the situation and missed it.

    A top class striker will finish when all he has to do is lob it over the keeper.

    Fulham are continuing to pepper the Nottingham Forest box with crosses, while the visitors haven't got going at all here at Craven Cottage.

    Newcastle have plenty of attacking threat, they are certainly still in this game.

    The most important thing you do when you go down a goal is stay in the game and Southampton have not done that.

    Bournemouth have been at it since the very beginning.

    Newcastle prepared to go man-for-man, prepared to press Manchester City high. It's just one long ball from Everton who clips it over the Newcastle back line, terrible judgment from Kieran Trippier who thinks he can just head the ball.

    It's then all about Omar Marmoush staying calm and he just lifts the ball over Martin Dubravka. Terrible defending from Trippier but the finish was clinical from Marmoush.

    Ederson gets the assist thanks to a perfectly weighted long pass, although Kieran Trippier has to take some responsibility as he misses his defensive header.

    Omar Marmoush gets away from Trippier and lobs a perfect finish over the onrushing Martin Dubravka, to move Man City into the top four as we stand.

    Newcastle haven't had many extended periods of possession but they are keeping their shape well and not allowing Manchester City much space.

    Eddie Howe will hope the home side's intensity drops at some point and that will allow the likes of Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon to get on the ball.

    Howe is offering plenty of encouragement from the sidelines.
