“I am 1,000% certain I know how to build a team and build a club. One of the big things is how you learn from the bad spells, how you react, and that is what we have to do.”

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank on the expectations of Spurs fans, with regards to their style of play: "I think hopefully it will not take that long time. I think the man next to me, Wilson (Odobert) is a fantastic player with huge potential. He has taken a step up and I have big hope for Wilson. He is taking over from a Sonny who was here last season, for example. And a Solanke and a Maddison and a Kulusevski.

"That's not saying they can't do it, it just takes a bit of time. And then we have to play every third day. No complaints, that's just the way it is."

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank on Wednesday night's opponents Paris St-Germain: "They have been on another level to Tottenham for the last five or six years.

"Also Luis Enrique, in his first season, he had to take a lot of battles and also turned everything around from playing with the biggest players in Europe to less stars, very determined players that play for the team.

"He created one of the best teams in the world by making those changes. Even last year, that's the beauty of football, they won the treble and were close to getting knocked out of the Champions League. That's margins sometimes."

We lost, we lost badly. Part of it is to manage those setbacks and learn from it.

"One thing I am 1000% sure of is how to build a team and know how to build a club. We will do that and along the way we will learn. The big thing is how we learn from the bad spells. That's when we can see where we go 1-0 down, how we react as a team. The good teams they still run hard and there are no doubts in that."
