    Celtic 1-0 Spartans

Emma Lawton curls one straight into the mitts of Alicia Yates. Still yet to find a second goal.

Without being disrespectful to Spartans - who've done really well here - Celtic will be unhappy with 1-0.

As well as trailing Rangers on points, they are currently 29 goals behind them on goal difference.

    Celtic 1-0 Spartans

Celtic continuing to knock on the door but yet to sufficiently test Alicia Yates in the Spartans goal.

    Matter of time, surely?

  5. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    Celtic 1-0 Spartans

We begin again at New Douglas Park, with Celtic looking to make their dominance on the pitch more obvious on the scoreline.

Ceyla Barclais and Jenny Smith come on for the hosts, with Bruna and Lucy Ashworth-Clifford replaced.

  6. Game of the weekend: Hibernian v Rangers (16:10)published at 15:05 British Summer Time 20 October

    Charlotte Cohen

After Hearts' historic victory over Celtic last weekend, Edinburgh rivals Hibs will be hoping for a similar feat when they host Rangers on Sunday.

While Hibs have historic success over the Old Firm sides, they haven't beaten Rangers since an emphatic 8-0 win in 2019. Since then, Rangers have won 16 out of the 17 meetings between the sides.

But after some hard work on the transfer front, Grant Scott's side have had a cracking start to the season.

They sit fourth in the SWPL table, two points behind Hearts and two above Celtic. They've won seven of their 10 games and their only draw of the season came against the other half of the Old Firm in a 0-0 game at the Excelsior back in August.

You can watch the action live on BBC Alba, the BBC Sport Scotland website and app. Kick-off is at 16:10.

  7. A quick look at the table...published at 15:03 British Summer Time 20 October

There's a few key games still to play - but this is what the SWPL table looks like halfway through Sunday.

  8. FULL-TIME Partick Thistle 2-0 Queen's Parkpublished at 14:59 British Summer Time 20 October

And we finally come to an end at Petershill - where there was six minutes of additional time after a dog ran onto the pitch at the start of the second half. The SWPL, baby!

As for the football, an important win for Thistle in a howling gale. They never really looked like losing this one. Gutsy defending at times from Queen's Park was not enough.

  9. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 90+ mins

    Partick Thistle 2-0 Queen's Park

That would have been the goal of the weekend.

Rosie Slater jinked past a few tackles before stepping inside and curling for goal, with the ball crashing off the crossbar.

  10. FULL-TIME Montrose 0-3 Heartspublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 20 October

It took them a long time to find the breakthrough in horrible conditions, but Hearts have done the business and moved to the top of the SWPL table for the very first time.

Of course, Rangers and Glasgow City are still to play, but make no mistake - Hearts are in the title race.

  11. HALF-TIME Celtic 1-0 Spartanspublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 20 October

It's no surprise that Celtic are in the lead, but the scoreline might cause concern for Elena Sadiku.

Her side seem unable to find a second route to goal, while occasionally allowing Spartans up the pitch.

They'll be keen to see the game off as quickly as possible in the second half.

  12. goal

GOAL Montrose 0-3 HEARTSpublished at 88 mins

    Monica Forsyth

    That's the ball game, folks.

Forsyth comes off the bench to add the third. After being put in behind by a brilliant ball from Sade Adamolekun, she slots past the keeper for the third.

  13. Postpublished at 41 mins

    Celtic 1-0 Spartans

Play is held up at New Douglas Park as Ronaigh Douglas takes a sore one.

It's been, unsurprisingly, all Celtic in the last few minutes. Amy Gallacher had a good chance but couldn't control the cross.

  14. goal

GOAL PARTICK THISTLE 2-0 Queen's Parkpublished at 78 mins

    Tiree Burchill

    What did I tell you?

Imogen Longcake collects a long ball forward and picks out Burchill with a pinpoint cross, and all she has to do is tap in from a yard out.

Maybe the keeper could do better there.

  15. goal

GOAL Montrose 0-2 HEARTSpublished at 78 mins

    Bayley Hutchison

A quickfire double for Hearts and Hutchison!

This time it's Sade Adamolekun on the right who crosses, and Hutchison is able to fire low past Kirsten Pratt.

  16. goal

GOAL Montrose 0-1 HEARTSpublished at 75 mins

    Bayley Hutchison

    Hearts finally make the breakthrough.

Emma Brownlie is allowed time to cross to the back stick, where Hutchison peels off her marker to nod home.

For the time being... Hearts are top of the SWPL!

  17. Postpublished at 77 mins

    Partick Thistle 1-0 Queen's Park

Georgia Gray twists and turns in the Spiders' box and forces another good save from Lucy Inman.

It looks far more likely that the Jags will get a second to see this game off.

  18. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Celtic 1-0 Spartans

Celtic go close to a second as Caitlin Hayes nods a corner just wide of the back post.

Generally though, it's been a gritty performance from Spartans. They are still in this.

  19. Postpublished at 68 mins

    Partick Thistle 1-0 Queen's Park

Almost a calamitous second for Thistle!

Cara Henderson closes down Lucy Inman, who takes far too long trying to send the ball long, and the block bobbles inches past the post.

  20. Postpublished at 62 mins

    Partick Thistle 1-0 Queen's Park

Hannah Robinson almost gets a second for Thistle, and it would have been wind-assisted.

The winger crossed to the back-post but a strong gust almost took it straight over Lucy Inman, who did well to read the flight.
