    Middlesbrough 1-0 Hull City

Struggling Hull came to Teesside today on the back of four successive defeats.

The Tigers have scored just once in this poor run of form and they'll need to find a goal now if they're to avoid slipping to a fifth straight loss.

Boro dangerman Ben Doak sends in a low cross that the visitors get clear.

    Watford 0-0 QPR

QPR's Paul Smyth looked like he was down and struggling with injury a moment ago, but he still musters another powerful long throw which causes panic again.

Defender Jimmy Dunne swings a leg at the ball and Watford hack the ball to safety.

    Oxford 0-0 Millwall

Oxford had conceded a glut of goals in their last two games coming into this one after shipping six at home to Middlesbrough last weekend and three in midweek at Sheffield United.

Des Buckingham will be pleased with what he's seen from his side so far, keeping it tight and limiting Millwall to just one shot in the opening half-an-hour.

Finn Azaz has shown what he's all about in the opening quarter of this game.

The leading player for assists in the Championship - with seven -should have had one more to that list but for Delano Burgzorg's bad miss.

But now he has a sixth goal to his name after that lovely curling effort.

All of those have come in his past six games, too. He missed the defeat to Blackburn on Wednesday, thus emphasising further his importance to this Boro side.

  5. Middlesbrough need to 'go get it'published at 12:58 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Tees

I look at this game and there are goals in it and you just have to go and put your foot on the gas and go get it.

    Hull are a poor side.

    Watford 0-0 QPR

Watford are starting to find their shooting boots.

Edo Kayembe fires straight at QPR goalkeeper Paul Nardi from 20 yards, just seconds after he had an effort blocked by the visiting defence.

But the Hornets need to try and get lone striker Vakoun Bayo some service, he has been extremely quiet so far.

    It had been coming!

Finn Azaz scored doubles in both his previous appearances and he's opened the scoring today.

Hayden Hackney intercepts Cody Drameh's attempted ball forward and plays it into the Republic of Ireland international who cuts inside on to his left foot and curls it into the top corner.

Carlisle still hold a 1-0 lead against Crewe at Brunton Park thanks to Dominic Sadi's second-minute strike.

The deadlock is yet to be broken at Highbury between Fleetwood and Colchester.

    Watford 0-0 QPR

So close for QPR's Nicolas Madsen, who should have put the visitors in front.

Sam Field pinches the ball in midfield and plays a simple pass down the right for Koki Saito, but Madsen places Saito's cutback wide.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 12:49 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    Oxford 0-0 Millwall

Millwall have been playing most of the game in Oxford's half but it's the U's who have just come closest to breaking the deadlock.

A poor giveaway on halfway and Tyler Goodhram drives forward before hitting a shot from the edge of the box which is well-saved by Lukas Jensen.

That was a decent chance for the hosts.

    Watford 0-0 QPR

Paul Smyth's long throw nearly creates an opening for QPR as the ball cannons around the penalty area.

Nobody was able to get a clean strike on it, but it is another sign that the visitors are looking more dangerous in this first half at Vicarage Road.

They are energetic and menacing as they chase Watford down and try to cause problems.

It is going to be an open game, both teams don't look like they are struggling.

Hull look like they have been let off the leash.

    Oxford 0-0 Millwall

Dane Scarlett leads a counter-attack for Oxford and drives excellently into the Millwall half.

He takes on a very ambitious effort from range with his left and it's comfortable for Lukas Jensen in the Lions' goal.

No major openings for either side yet as we approach the 15-minute mark.

  15. Postpublished at 12:44 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

Watford's Giorgi Chakvetadze finds space in midfield and gets away from two players, but by the time the cross comes in from the right from Ryan Andrews, enough QPR defenders are back to clear the danger.

I think Hull will come here and park the bus. I think Andy Dawson will have seen what Blackburn did and say - 'listen if we can frustrate them, we can hit them on the break'. They will try and hit us on the break guaranteed and try and pinch a goal.

If they do pinch a goal, it's going to be difficult. I keep saying it has to come from us we have to be the one that sets the pace. I thought the tempo from the game the other night was poor from our standards. If you're the home team you have to get at teams.

You have to set the tempo and more importantly you have to get these fans off their seats. The other night it was stale, it was quiet and that was because the game was poor.
