    Bristol City 0-0 Southampton

Nicely worked down the right this time by Southampton and Adam Armstrong is slid in with space on the top of the area.

He opens up his body for a left-foot shot but the strike isn't the cleanest and Radek Vítek was able to get down to his right to make a comfortable save for City.

  2. Postpublished at 20:17 BST 21 October

    Derby 0-0 Norwich

Complete panic in the Derby defence.

Kenny McLean swings over a cross and Josh Sargent pulls off at the far post to head back into the danger zone.

The ball pings around the area but no-one can get a decent shot away.

    Boos from the home supporters.

  3. goal

GOAL: Portsmouth 0-1 Coventrypublished at 20:15 BST 21 October

    Brandon Thomas-Asante (30 mins)

Championship leaders Coventry are in front!

A corner is headed back into the mix of bodies and Brandon Thomas-Asante is sharp as he nods into the net for his seventh goal of the season.

That puts him just one below the Championships highest scorer and team-mate Haji Wright. How about some friendly competition, ey?

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:14 BST 21 October

    Ipswich 0-0 Charlton

Not great for Ipswich and goalkeeper Alex Palmer.

He's been excellent so far this season but has picked up an injury and Christian Walton is on to replace him between the sticks.

  5. Postpublished at 20:13 BST 21 October

    Blackburn 0-0 Sheff Utd

A presentable chance for Blackburn as Axel Henriksson slips the ball across the box for Yuki Ohashi but the forward fails to make proper, if any, contact and the opportunity goes begging.

Not sure how many more like that there'll be tonight.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:13 BST 21 October

    Millwall 2-0 Stoke

    Will Smallbone can't go on.

Luke Cundle comes on to replace him but all the delights of their impressive lead is has just lost a bit of it's sparkle.

  7. Postpublished at 20:12 BST 21 October

    Preston 0-0 Birmingham

Very little to report from the opening quarter at Deepdale.

But Blues' right-back Bright Osayi-Samuel has already picked up a booking - his fifth of the season - and will now miss Saturday's trip to Bristol City.

  8. Postpublished at 20:11 BST 21 October

    Millwall 2-0 Stoke

Really bad news for the hosts.

Will Smallbone has just pulled up, his face screwed in agony, clutching at his hamstring.

Millwall's injury list is already worrying. This will make it worse.

  9. Vyner sets new Robins recordpublished at 20:10 BST 21 October

    Bristol City 0-0 Southampton

    Sophie Hurcom
    BBC Sport at Ashton Gate

There was a brief moment for applause before we got under way at Ashton Gate for Bristol City stalwart Zak Vyner this evening, who is setting a new club record for appearances in Championship in this match against Southampton.

The 28-year-old is playing his 219th match in the second tier for the club he joined at the age of 10.

Robins technical director Brian Tinnion said last week that Vyner has been offered a new contract to stay, after they turned down an offer from Wrexham for him in the summer.

The defender has been busy during these first minutes as Saints have started fast and are attacking the City goal.

  10. 'Third goal will end this'published at 20:09 BST 21 October

    Millwall 2-0 Stoke

    Mark Elliott
Stoke City commentator on BBC Radio Stoke

A third goal would end this as a contest.

  11. Postpublished at 20:09 BST 21 October

    Derby 0-0 Norwich

Derby goalkeeper Jacob Widell Zetterstrom does well to punch away a corner at the far post under a lot of pressure.

That was going to drop in.

Norwich are on top and there does seem a bit more of an edge to their approach tonight which boss Liam Manning has been looking for.

  12. Postpublished at 20:08 BST 21 October

    Bristol City 0-0 Southampton

Saints with the Lions share of the early possession at Ashton Gate in our sole 20:00 BST kick-off and happy to build patiently.

Twice Cameron Archer has got in behind the defence on the left but both times the home defence has recovered well to prevent any meaningful attempt on goal.

A quick counter has given City their first moment going forward of the night but Anis Mehmeti's pull back from the left found no-one.

  13. goal

GOAL: Millwall 2-0 Stokepublished at 20:07 BST 21 October

    Tristan Crama (23 mins)

Tristan Crama's first goal for Millwall is delivered in absolute style.

The ball is cut back to the defender and first time smashes it into the roof of the net.

Clinical. You'd think he was doing it week in, week out.

A reminder that before tonight, Stoke had the best defensive record in the league. Millwall look like they may be putting a dent in that.

  14. 'Mousinho & Lampard clash'published at 20:07 BST 21 October

    Portsmouth 0-0 Coventry City

    Dan George
BBC Sport England at Fratton Park

John Mousinho and Frank Lampard have just had to be separated on the sidelines.

Pompey were adamant that they should have had a penalty and next thing you know Mousinho and Lampard are in each other's faces.

The fourth official spent a good two minutes keeping them apart before they retreated back to their technical areas.

  15. 'Norwich could be in bottom three with defeat'published at 20:06 BST 21 October

    Derby 0-0 Norwich

    Chris Goreham
    BBC Radio Norfolk commentator

If Norwich lose tonight then there's a very good chance they'll be in the bottom three.

So pleased for Liam Millar at Hull City. Just about all of last season out injured and scored on his first start tonight

    Ipswich 0-0 Charlton

Ipswich are dominating the opening stages of this one with nearly 80% possession.

Chuba Akpom has an effort well blocked by the Charlton defence.

If this is the pattern of things, it's going to be a long night for the Londoners.

A quiet start to this one.

These two sides have managed 11 goals between them in a combined 19 games - what were we expecting?

  20. Postpublished at 20:00 BST 21 October

    Portsmouth 0-0 Coventry

Portsmouth are weathering the early pressure from league leaders Coventry.

The visitors earn themselves the first corner of the game, which causes havoc in the box but Josh Knight is able to clear it out in the end.

Pompey have got themselves a sight at goal though as John Swift tries his luck outside the box but no dice.
