  1. Postpublished at 12:40 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    AFC Wimbledon 0-0 Salford City

A point would take AFC Wimbledon, who are fourth, above second-placed Notts County, and they're on the front foot early on, with Marcus Browne trying his luck from distance. It's dealt with by keeper Jamie Jones.

  2. Postpublished at 12:39 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Cambridge United 0-0 Exeter

The visitors have started the more assured side so far.

A good ball from Exeter's Caleb Watts finds Ilmari Niskanen but the Finland international's effort is high, wide and not very handsome of Nathan Bishop's goal.

  3. Postpublished at 12:37 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Doncaster 0-0 Grimsby

A win would take fifth-placed Doncaster into the automatic promotion places for a couple of hours at least - and they've made a lively start, with Harry Clifton having an effort saved after being found by Jordan Gibson, who then heads Jamie Sterry's cross wide.

  5. CLOSE!published at 12:34 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Cambridge United 0-0 Exeter

Chance straight away for the visitors!

United fail to deal with a fairly innocuous corner and the ball breaks to Exeter midfielder Ed Francis, who blazes his left-footed shot just over the bar when he ought to have hit the target.

What a start that would have been!

  6. Postpublished at 12:33 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Northampton 0-0 Wrexham

Burnley loanee Dara Costelloe makes his debut for Northampton Town, while Ben Perry starts for the Cobblers for the first time.

Missing from the Wrexham line-up is Elliot Lee, who was involved in a road traffic collision after their cup tie against Bolton Wanderers in midweek.

The club confirmed that the midfielder hasn't suffered any major injuries, but he won't be involved today.

It’s so tight near the top of League Two that fifth-placed Doncaster are one of the teams that could go above second-placed Notts County, who are not in action today.

Whereas a point would be enough to take Bradford and AFC Wimbledon above the Magpies, Grant McCann's Rovers need a win to climb above the East Midlands side.

They will be looking to bounce back from a heavy defeat, having lost 5-2 at Chesterfield last time out in the league - a surprise result which came after four consecutive wins.

Rovers will be pleased to be back at home, where they have enjoyed an upturn in form, winning four of their past five matches at the Eco-Power Stadium having failed to win the previous five games there.

They have enjoyed playing Grimsby in recent seasons, winning the past three matches between these clubs and six of the past seven. In fact, in those three consecutive wins against the Mariners, Rovers have scored a total of nine goals and conceded just one.

But while that all bodes well for the hosts today, their opponents’ away form should definitely act as a warning. Play-off chasing Grimsby have won seven away matches this season. No League Two side have won more.

Fourth-placed AFC Wimbledon will move into the automatic promotion places in League Two if they beat Salford.

They are unbeaten in their past nine matches and have kept clean sheets in six of their past eight games, while at the other end of the pitch they have a prolific striker in Matty Stevens, who has scored 19 goals this season in all competitions.

With second-placed Notts County not playing today, a point would be enough to take the Dons above them on goal difference, prior to third-placed Bradford's away match against Newport County.

But Salford are also in good form - and have promotion aspirations of their own.

The Ammies are currently in the final play-off spot and have lost just two of their past 12 league matches - a run which has included seven wins.

They also seem to enjoy playing in London, having won on four of their past six trips to the capital.

  11. Cobblers look to extend winning runpublished at 12:21 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Northampton v Wrexham (12:30 GMT)

Northampton Town boss Kevin Nolan says it's a little too soon for supporters to be singing songs about staying up - but his side have given the fans something to shout about as of late.

Back-to-back wins have put the Cobblers into 17th, six points above the relegation zone.

Victories over Mansfield and Huddersfield marked the first time they've had two successive wins this season - but extending it to a third will be tricky.

They host Wrexham shortly and given that the Red Dragons are now four points off the top two, with Stockport County also hot on their heels, they won't want to settle for anything less than three points.

Nottingham Forest beat 10-man Exeter on penalties

Exeter City travel to Cambridge United this afternoon after their FA Cup journey came to an end on Tuesday, following a heartbreaking penalty shootout defeat by Premier League side Nottingham Forest.

The Grecians gave an excellent account of themselves, however, and Josh Magennis' two goals against currently the country's third-best side should hold him in good stead against League One's bottom club.

Garry Monk's Cambridge are looking to bounce back from a disappointing result on Tuesday themselves - a 4-0 thumping at League One leaders Birmingham City.

The U's are currently seven points from safety and will surely see today as a must-win if they are going to get themselves out of trouble, having picked up 15 points from their previous 10 home league matches.

Now that the quick trips to the local supermarkets for last-minute flowers and declarations of adoration are out of the way, it's time to cast your eyes upon one of England and Wales' greatest loves - football.

Second-placed Notts County's loss at Port Vale on Thursday will inspire some of those just slightly below to be the closest challengers to Walsall's spot at the top of League Two.

AFC Wimbledon and Doncaster Rovers both feature in early games hoping to grab second place, while Bradford City will be in action at 15:00 GMT, along with the league leaders themselves, who are trying to scrape together their first win in five games.

League One, of course, will also be taking a starring role. Bottom side Cambridge host a struggling Exeter City and third-placed Wrexham go to Northampton at 12:30, before Charlton Athletic's play-off push continues with a challenging trip to runaway leaders Birmingham.

Exciting stuff and don't worry, we are here to take you through all of it.
