Tottenham's injury list has not helped manager Ange Postecoglou's cause.

Romania defender Radu Dragusin limped off close to the end of Thursday's 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest, leaving the Spurs boss without a fit central defender to call upon.

Postecoglou will be asked for updates on Dragusin's fitness, as well as a return date for Christian Romero and Micky van de Ven.

Wales defender Ben Davies is back in training, but will he be ready to face Wolves?

Long-term absentees include midfielder Wilson Odobert, forward Richarlison and goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, although winger Mikey Moore is thought to be close to a return.

One thing is for sure, the Tottenham manager's team news could take a while to get through.

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou says they'll have to "wait and see" if Radu Dragusin will be fit to take on Wolves after going off yesterday with an ankle injury.

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham go into Sunday's final match of December in the middle of a dreadful run of form that has seen them win just one of six Premier League matches during the month.

The poor run, which has included four defeats and a draw, along with a 5-0 win at bottom side Southampton, has seen Spurs drop to 11th in the table and heaped pressure on manager Ange Postecoglou.

    Tottenham's league results in December:

    • 01 Dec: Tottenham 1-1 Fulham
    • 05 Dec: Bournemouth 1-0 Tottenham
    • 08 Dec: Tottenham 3-4 Chelsea
    • 15 Dec: Southampton 0-5 Tottenham
    • 22 Dec: Tottenham 3-6 Liverpool
    • 26 Dec: Nottm Forest 1-0 Tottenham

Legitimate criticism of Ange lacking flexibility, but we can't sack Ange and then expect anything other than the cycle to repeat itself. Short/medium term pain is required for long-term gain.

    Harry, Spurs fan

Last season the spurs fans were actively celebrating them losing to man city, to stop arsenal winning the league. Now they're annoyed that their team keep losing? How ironic.

It's a difficult moment, it definitely is and Ange [Postecoglou] requires everyone to be singing from the same hymn sheet.

So it'll be analytical, the meetings - pre and post match - are very important [to him] to his team.

He's not one to necessarily sit down and have conversations but the pre and post are so important.

There'll be the dreaded 'ring' going around you when things are going wrong in those meeting rooms.

So the Spurs players are going to have to take it on the chin. They're going to have to take some harsh criticism but ultimately he's going to want them playing, purring, playing the good football we know they're capable of but just more consistently.

Time for Ange to go now. It's great "for the neutral", but with an unbelievably low win rate and one dimensional play Spurs aren't going to progress. The only shining light for me is Kulisevski this season. Son looks like he needs to head to Saudi, and Maddison turns up when he fancies it. I won't even talk about Porro...

Good morning! I agree with many of the comments on Liverpool’s amazing rise with Arne Slot. I think it’s crazy to think the title belongs to them already, wonderful to be in the position their in for the league, and especially agree with Lee (7:48) that Joe Gomez is so underrated, he fits in wherever and whenever he’s asked. He just needs a goal!

Ruud van Nistelrooy is finding out how tough it is to be a Premier League manager after three losses on the spin with Leicester.

He told Amazon Prime: "It is up to us to keep developing and creating gameplans for every opponent. The gameplan was there, players knew what to do and acted to it, but today was the maximum possible.

"Anfield is not the place where we usually collect the points, but for our development, we have to do it as the points need to be collected."

The fans only see one thing but I think we'd all be very silly to think Liverpool aren't doing a lot to get those three signed up. Why would they [Salah, Van Dijk, Alexander-Arnold] want to leave? I'd be surprised if those players didn't re-sign. We all want to see them to stay.

Liverpool have had an incredible start, and their results have shown they can beat anyone and it isn’t just luck. But worth mentioning out of the rest of the current top 10, they still are yet to play 7 of them away from home, and though their local rivals Everton have struggled for a while now they have only won at Goodison twice in 10 seasons. Conversely, Arsenal played more of their closest rivals (except Liverpool) away already. The second half of the season could flip the script completely.

You don't get nervous when they [Liverpool] go 1-0 down, you feel like they're still going to win the game. I can't speak highly enough of Mo Salah, he makes scoring goals look easy. He's not just scoring, he's getting assists as well.

@ Jav 8.32 Is that the same fall off people were predicting during our ‘tough’ 10 game run!? The run where we didn’t lose a single game!? Wishful thinking from envious and bitter opposition fans!

Results went their [Liverpool] way yesterday. It was a slow start in the first half but they're finding a way in the second half. The big players keep stepping up in the big moments. They look very impressive.

If they win that game in hand then they're 10 points clear. I still don't think it's over but it's a big margin isn't it?

This should give some hope to the chasing pack.

In 2018-19, Man City trailed the leaders Liverpool by 10 points on 29 December but still incredibly ended up winning the Premier League.

If Arsenal win later, they'll go six points behind Liverpool but with one game extra played.

"Stay humble" was the call from Mohamed Salah at the end of Liverpool's win over Leicester.

The Premier League's top scorer told Amazon Prime: "It feels different [than previous seasons]. But the most important thing is we need to stay humble. This one is very special, hopefully we win the Premier League and for this club it is something I dream of.

"The most important thing is the team winning - hopefully we win the Premier League. It is great, but we focus on each game and hopefully we carry on like that."

Not forgetting Curtis Jones, who weighed in with his third of the Premier League campaign for Liverpool in Thursday's win over Leicester.

Arne Slot said after their Boxing Day victory that he had been challenging the England midfielder to make runs into the box more frequently, saying Liverpool midfielders have to add goals to their game.
