The crowd at the Kassam appear to be quite frustrated with some of the decisions made by referee Dean Whitestone so far.

Massive chance and he should have done better.

Blackburn can't really deal with Albion at present, especially when the ball comes into their area from out wide.

Tom Fellows has sent in a couple of dangerous balls and almost sneaked in for a tap-in at the far post there, though he'd have been well offside if he hadn't skewed his effort into the side-netting.

Norwich are in control of the game and they are the ones pressing. Millwall are relying on the counter attack but Norwich need to start to create more.

The home side, looking to avoid falling to an opening day defeat for the fourth successive season, are firmly on top after these opening 20 minutes but no goal to show for it so far.

The R's are under new boss Julien Stephan for the first time in a competitive match today.

Hayden Hackney has attracted a lot of attention this summer but he's still at Boro and still doing what he does.

He picks the ball up in midfield and drives towards the area before letting fly with a rasping strike from 25 yards which flashes a few yards wide of Lawrence Vigouroux's left upright.

Not close enough for a 'close' headline, but Boro have at least had a shot.

The home side are having much the better of things so far.

Mark Robins' men have had just over 70% of the possession and two shots on target.

Some pushing and probing from Boro, with Sam Silvera on the left and new arrival Callum Brittain on the right playing very high indeed.

Rob Edwards will be content with his side's start here, though they have not had a glimpse of goal yet.

Aaron Cresswell ended his 11-year spell with West Ham in the summer and joined Stoke City.

This match looks like two teams who have spent 10 weeks this summer dreaming about their next chance to fly into a challenge on someone.

It has been a strong start by Portsmouth who have had a couple of early half chances.

Callum Lang has so far looked the biggest threat down the right-hand-side, Oxford are yet to create any real attacking chance of note.

Swede Axel Henrickson is making his Rovers debut and is clearly up for it, up-ending Darnell Furlong in the opening minutes but escaping any action from ref David Webb.

Yuki Ohashi has already been off for some attention to an eye issue for the visitors while keeper Balazs Toth had to be alert to keep out a clever direct free-kick from Isaac Price when everyone else was expecting a cross.
