So devastating. Frida Maanum loves scoring big goals at the Emirates. If you remember, she scored a screamer against Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the Women's Champions League here.

The stadium absolutely erupted when it went in and there were people in front of me waving scarves around their heads.

Part of both teams' DNA is keeping the ball and dominating possession, so today will be about who can force the other into a mistake. It is going to be an open game at times and both teams are excellent on the ball.

    Arsenal 0-0 Man City

Mariona Caldentey is a great signing for Arsenal, she was at Barcelona for ten years so she has incredible pedigree. She was a great signing to bring in after the loss of Vivianne Miedema in the summer, such quality, I think the fans will have been happy with that.

  13. 'Last year City lost on goals and they go and bring in Miedema'published at 12:27 British Summer Time

Arsenal v Man City (12:30 BST)

    Jenna Schillaci
Former Spurs captain on BBC Radio 5 Live

There has been a lot of change at Chelsea, they have been a powerhouse the last five, six years in the WSL under Emma Hayes.

You look at the players Man City have, Vivianne Miedema will be mentioned a lot this afternoon, they lost out on goals to Chelsea last season and then they go and bring her in. It will be very tight between that top three this season.

  14. Miedema scoring 'written in the stars'published at 12:26 British Summer Time

Arsenal v Man City (12:30 BST)

    Ellen White
Former England striker on BBC Women's Football Weekly podcast

It'd be a little bit strange [going back to Arsenal], but she seems like she's happy and that's the main thing for Viv.

It's a whole new city for her but the players they've got there will be amazing in helping her and you know how Man City work as a club so she'll be fine. I can just see her scoring. It's written in the stars.

Does Vivianne Miedema celebrate on Sunday if she scores?

She has to. I did when I went back to Arsenal and scored. She didn’t normally celebrate when she scored for Arsenal anyway, she’s not a big celebrater.

I always say with celebrations against a former club that it depends how you left, did she leave in a good way? I don’t know. We will see if she celebrates.

Arsenal v Man City (12:30 BST)

Vivianne Miedema was a fan favourite at Arsenal, spending seven years at the club and scoring a ridiculous amount of goals.

But she's lining up on the other side of the pitch this time. Will she have the same success for Manchester City?

  17. 'Viv is a top quality addition for us'published at 12:22 British Summer Time

Arsenal v Man City (12:30 BST)

    Manchester City

Man City manager Gareth Taylor speaking to Sky Sports about forward Vivianne Miedema: "Viv has been great, a top quality addition for us, but we have to remember that she is still coming off the the back of a very serious injury. So we need to take our time with her and make sure she feels comfortable in everything she does.

"This game is going to be a bit strange for her today. It will be great in parts because I am pretty much expecting that she will get one hell of an applause, and she deserves that. But also I can imagine there will be some anxiety for her, coming back here after being at a club like this for so long.

"We have just tried to make it as easy for her as we possibly can and to make her feel comfortable and allow her to be her best. But the signs in pre-season have been very good."

  18. 'We're looking to go one better this year'published at 12:20 British Summer Time

Arsenal v Man City (12:30 BST)

    Manchester City

Man City manager Gareth Taylor speaking to Sky Sports: "We had the Paris game in midweek where we were really successful, we obviously didn't have the option of using Bunny Shaw and I think it was a bit of an easy one [to bring her back in], although Mary Fowler did a really good job in Paris.

"We have some good options to use both in the starting eleven and with the players on the side."

Extra hunger from Bunny Shaw after missing out in midweek? "Yes I think so. Last season when we played this fixture at our place she was unfortunately missing on that occasion and she has always said that she would have made the difference. So it is a good opportunity for her to start the season off well and hopefully start towards getting the same figures as she got last year."

On redemption after losing to Arsenal last year: "I think we are always looking to improve everything we do, in terms of our style and play and our performances, regardless of the results.

"I don't think it is good using that [defeat last year] - it can be a source of motivation, but last season [losing the title] was on us, not on those that took points off us. We've owned it, talked about it in pre-season and we are looking to go one better this year."

I'm at the Emirates today. It is going to be so strange seeing Miedema play against us in sky blue. Don't know whether to cheer her or boo her, maybe both. We need a fast start today.

"Please welcome back, Vivianne Miedema," the stadium announcer says as he reads out the Manchester City team.

There's a big cheer from the Arsenal fans. Plenty were still wearing her name on the back of their shirts too.
