You can hear the noise from the Southampton fans now, as they begin their usual, 'oh when the Saints go marching in!'.

You imagine Southampton would like the advantage of a second goal now.

  5. CLOSE!published at 16:22 BST 27 September

    Preston 0-0 Bristol City

Great chance for Anis Mehmeti who latches on to a through ball from Ross McCrorie who with the goal gaping puts his shot narrowly wide.

That was a terrific opportunity - probably the game's best so far - especially for a man of Mehmeti's goalscoring prowess.

    Ipswich 2-0 Portsmouth

    Andrew Moon
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

It has been slightly better from Pompey in the second half, but it is not the threat that we are used to seeing at the beginning of this season.

    Oxford 0-0 Sheff Utd

There is some good pressing here from Sheffield United.

It is all a bit uncertain from an Oxford point of view, when the Blades get the ball in Oxford's box.

    Ipswich 2-0 Portsmouth

Sindre Egeli and Jaden Philogene both come close to adding to Ipswich's tally.

  17. Postpublished at 16:13 BST 27 September

    Sheff Wed 1-1 QPR

QPR were firmly second best in the first half of this but they're a different side now.

In some ways quite literally - they made three subs at the break and one of them, Karamoko Dembele, hammers a shot just wide.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:11 BST 27 September

    Southampton 0-0 Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough seem to have come out with some intent.
