It is a really good strike from Ratiu actually and he's just looking for the far corner. Dubravka does well to palm it clear but I am just thinking whether he could have got it further away from the danger area.

Best chance of the game in Frankfurt!

Andrei Ratiu fashions some space to the left of the box and curls an effort at goal which Martin Dubravka does well to beat away, before the rebound is fired over the top.

    A let-off for Slovakia.

If there is an award for most missed chances then Lukaku has won it with over 20 games left!

It is VERY warm in Frankfurt today - even after 6pm local time, the thermometre is topping 30 degrees celsius.

What impact that has on today's efforts remains to be seen.

The first corner of the game goes to Slovakia. Lukas Haraslin makes a crossed-arm gesture to show what type of delivery he will be sending to team mates.

The delivery is an outswinger to the penalty spot and finds a Slovakian head, but with not enough power to trouble the Romanian keeper Florin Nita.

Belgium look very assured in possession.

Interesting to see Romelu Lukaku's movement, he wanted it and he does well to get there, but scuffs the shot.

  7. 'Inch perfect pass from De Bruyne'published at 17:10 British Summer Time 26 June

I don't know how Kevin De Bruyne gets the ball into the position he does. Romelu Lukaku is right in between the two centre halves and it is a phenomenal, inch perfect pass into his feet. Unfortunately he can't get good enough contact on the shot at goal.

Lukaku misses opportunity to give Belgium the lead

Oh hello! Belgium suddenly flick the switch with Kevin De Bruyne feeding Romelu Lukaku.

The striker collects the ball with the angle against him and probably doesn't quite get the contact he'd like, shooting straight at the keeper.

But it's a good sign for Belgium. Exactly the sort of link-up play they're after.

Nicolae Stanciu, who scored a stunner to open Romania's tournament with a bang against Ukraine, sends a fine delivery into the area from a deep free kick.

No one in yellow can make a good contact however.

Mixed messages. You're not missing much by the way. It's been a very nervy start in Stuttgart.

Sky blue shirts, brown shorts and pink boots is about as revolting as it gets. Belgium deserve to lose on that score alone.

Love the Belgian kit and nod to Tintin. Would like to see them win the tournament based on that alone. Unfortunately England's play has been as bland as their kit.

Ukraine know that they need a result, the coach has taken out a few of the big names who have not yet hit the levels that he wants them to, and he is going for a team spirit, organisation that can go and get a result. This is an opportunity for other players to prove themselves.

The Romanian fans are LOVING it in Frankfurt. The smoke from their pre-match flares still hangs over the arena like a haze.

For a game which could prove to be a dead rubber, the atmosphere is electrifying.

Ukraine, all in yellow, win an early corner. England's Anthony Taylor is the referee.

Belgium easily clear the set-piece. Taylor will be hoping for a less controversial match; he had to rule a Netherlands goal out in their 0-0 draw with France in his last match.
