Slovakia have burst forward immediately, a courple of crosses into the Romania box cut out.

No early signs of an arranged 0-0 which would send both teams through - yet.

Big news! Belgium are sporting their Tintin kit for the first time at Euro 2024.

Sky blue shirts, brown shorts, white socks. We've not seen an outfit like it and probably won't ever again. We'll leave you to decide whether that's a good thing or not.

  5. 'An opportunity for Ukraine to cause a huge upset'published at 16:59 British Summer Time 26 June

    Ukraine v Belgium (17:00 BST)

    Stephen Warnock
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

I'm intrigued to see which Belgium turns up and how they go about this game today. They are the favourites and rightly so for the quality they have but they have not fully turned up in this tournament yet. It could be an opportunity for Ukraine to cause a huge upset.

I have thought of a thousand situations this group could produce. Interesting matchday! Also expecting our daily dose of own goal.

  8. 'I'm looking forward to watching Romania'published at 16:56 British Summer Time 26 June

    Slovakia v Romania (17:00 BST)

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC Two

I am looking forward to seeing Romania play. If you don't shoot you don't score.

They are very well organised and well coached. They can dig in and when they break they can throw men into the box.

    Slovakia v Romania (17:00 BST)

    Ashley Williams
Former Wales defender on BBC Two

It is a really interesting one. I can understand why teams might be cautious today but you have a chance to finish top of the group so I hope they all go for it.

  10. 'Doku can be very important'published at 16:54 British Summer Time 26 June

    Ukraine v Belgium (17:00 BST)

    Jose Fonte
    Portugal defender on BBC One

    On Jeremy Doku...

We have faced each other in France and luckily I had a good full-back.

You cannot leave him exposed on a one-v-one. He is aggressive and positive, but for me his decision making has to improve in the final part - he can be very important today.

    Ukraine v Belgium (17:00 BST)

Incredibly, Belgium and Ukraine have never played each other before, whether in a friendly or competitive match.

Today's meeting could be to Belgium's advantage. They are unbeaten in the last 22 games when they have faced an opponent for the first time (W13, D9), with their last such defeat a 1-0 loss to Egypt in 1999.

  12. Sutton's predictionpublished at 16:51 British Summer Time 26 June

    Ukraine v Belgium (17:00 BST)

    Chris Sutton
    BBC football expert

Belgium were really wasteful in their defeat by Slovakia but they responded well under pressure against Romania and they are up and running now.

I still don’t really trust them at the back, but they do create a lot of chances and they still have Kevin de Bruyne’s quality, even if his legs are not quite what they were.

Ukraine’s comeback against Slovakia has given them a chance of getting out of this group and Roman Yaremchuk’s winner was a lovely finish, but I don’t see them adding to their tally here.

    Sutton's prediction: 1-2

  13. Will anyone want the ball?published at 16:50 British Summer Time 26 June

    Slovakia v Romania (17.00 BST)

Slovakia produced arguably the shock of the tournament so far when beating Belgium in the opening game. It was an ultimate backs-to-the wall job, recording just 31% possession in the second half.

Romania can also be proficient out of possession: their 29% share of the ball against Ukraine was the lowest recorded by a winning team at the Euros since records began in 1980.

Someone's got to have more of the ball today - who will use it better?

  14. Sutton's predictionpublished at 16:48 British Summer Time 26 June

    Slovakia v Romania (17:00 BST)

    Chris Sutton
    BBC football expert

The winner of this tie goes through so maybe both teams will go for it… or, more likely, it will end up being a draw.

Slovakia beating Belgium was the biggest shock at these Euros but they lack a real flair player.

Romania lost to Belgium, but were still pretty lively, and I have a feeling they will edge this, and make the last 16.

  17. Can Schranz catch own goals?published at 16:44 British Summer Time 26 June

    Slovakia v Romania (17.00 BST)

If asked to pick your top scorer for Euro 2024, chances are Slovakia winger Ivan Schranz would not have featured high in your thoughts.

However, the 30-year-old is joint top scorer so far with two goals having netted both of Slovakia's strikes so far at the tournament - the winner versus Belgium, and the opener against Ukraine.

Schranz, who plays his club football for Slavia Prague, sits level at the top of the scorer charts alongside Niclas Fullkrug, Jamal Musiala, Cody Gakpo and Georges Mikautadze.

But he trails the true Euro 2024 top scorer by some distance - that being own goals.

Remarkably, seven players have put through their own net at the Euros so far, most recently Donyell Malen for the Netherlands against Austria yesterday.

  18. 'Belgium are a great team'published at 16:43 British Summer Time 26 June

    Ukraine v Belgium (17:00 BST)

    Jose Fonte
    Portugal defender on BBC One

Look at Belgium's squad, Kevin de Bruyne with his range of passing and the pace of Jeremy Doku out wide then there's Romelu Lukaku with his link-up play and his aggressiveness in the box.

Belgium are a great team and they can score goals in many different ways.

  19. Stat attackpublished at 16:41 British Summer Time 26 June

    Slovakia v Romania (17:00 BST)

    • Slovakia have only won one of their 11 matches against Romania (W5-D5-L1), which was a 1-0 friendly victory in Bratislava in August 1942.
    • Romania are unbeaten in all four competitive fixtures versus Slovakia. Those games were qualifiers for Euro 1996 (two wins) and Euro 2000 (one win, one draw).
    • Slovakia are winless in their past nine encounters with Romania and it is their longest winless run against specific opposition in their history.

  20. 'Can't call which way this is going to go'published at 16:40 British Summer Time 26 June

    Slovakia v Romania (17:00 BST)

    Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think both of these teams are going to go for it, because you can't sit there and play 90 minutes plus hoping for a draw. What if someone scores in stoppage time and you are suddenly completely out of it? So they will go for it, but I really cannot call which way the game is going to go..
