GOAL - Grimsby 2-0 Man Utdpublished at 20:29 British Summer Time 27 August

    Tyrell Warren (30 mins)

    Unbelievable!!!

It is a gift for Grimsby as it is shambolic defending from a ball into the box once again by Manchester United.

This time, Andre Onana comes for a cross, misses it and Tyrell Warren gleefully taps the ball into the empty net.

  5. Sacked in the morningpublished at 20:29 British Summer Time 27 August

    Grimsby 1-0 Man Utd

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport Chief Football Writer at Blundell Park

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim is stood right in front of me.

It is impossible not to hear the 'sacked in the morning' chants being bellowed at him.

He has struggled for results since he came to United but the fans have stayed loyal so far. If they go out of this tournament so quickly, patience will start to wear very thin.

This is realistically one of only two chances to win a trophy for Manchester United this season.

Just when you thought Man United couldn't sink any lower...SURPRISE!

  7. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:28 British Summer Time 27 August

    Grimsby 1-0 Man Utd

Grimsby have the ball in the net again but it is swiftly ruled out as the ball went in off Cameron Gardner's arm.

Questionable defending once again by Manchester United to present the hosts with that chance, however.

    Everton 0-0 Mansfield

First sight of Tyler Dibling warming up with the Everton subs.

The Toffees fans will be desperate for him to get on the pitch after his big-money move from Southampton.

    Grimsby Town 1-0 Man Utd

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Blundell Park

The United players must realise the enormity of this game and what it could mean for the manager. A lot of changes, there will be question marks if Amorim should have gone stronger with the line-up.

  10. Postpublished at 20:27 British Summer Time 27 August

    Grimsby 1-0 Man Utd

That's nice from Benjamin Sesko as he lifts the ball over one Grimsby defender and then runs towards goal. He has Amad Diallo in support but decides to go for goal himself and the shot is blocked.

  11. Postpublished at 20:27 British Summer Time 27 August

    Fulham 2-0 Bristol City

Sinclair Armstrong is down and hurting after taking an arm to the head from Issa Diop.

    Looked a sore one, that.

  12. Postpublished at 20:26 British Summer Time 27 August

    Everton 0-0 Mansfield

Lovely move by Everton with James Garner timing his run into the box. He gets his head up and picks out Jack Grealish just behind the penalty spot but he gets his foot right under that and into the crowd it goes.

I'm sure he'll blame that on a bobble.

A new low point. Amorim needs to go if United lose this. Enough is Enough.

United are living off scraps. They're in danger of being battered!

    Grimsby 1-0 Man Utd

Grimsby fans are taunting Ruben Amorim as they chant "you are getting sacked in the morning".

Almost half an hour gone in this match and Grimsby are very good value for their lead.

Can they keep this energy up?

  15. 'Grimsby thoroughly deserve it'published at 20:25 British Summer Time 27 August

    Grimsby Town 1-0 Man Utd

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Blundell Park

Do you know what? Grimsby thoroughly deserve it. Winger to winger the ball is switched from right to left and Vernam took a touch inside the box and hammered the ball past Onana at his near post. There may be question marks about the United keeper.

  16. CLOSE!published at 20:24 British Summer Time 27 August

    Oxford 0-2 Brighton

Oh Oxford should have one back as Mark Harris has the golden chance to pull one back but can't beat Jason Steele in the Brighton goal. More composure and that would be a goal for Oxford.

  17. Postpublished at 20:24 British Summer Time 27 August

    Everton 0-0 Mansfield

Charly Alcaraz swings in a dangerous ball with his left foot towards the head of Thierno Barry. He manages to get contact on it but the ball is just too high to direct it on goal.

  19. goal

GOAL - Grimsby 1-0 Man Utdpublished at 20:21 British Summer Time 27 August

    Charles Vernam (22 mins)

    HUGE noise!

Manchester United are opened up by a fine Grimsby attack as Darragh Burns picks out Charles Vernam on the far side of the area and the striker takes a touch before firing beyond Andre Onana at his near post.

    Everton 0-0 Mansfield

Jack Grealish is met by boos every time he gets the ball by Mansfield fans. Not too sure why but they normally come back to bite you.
