    Brajan Gruda (20 mins)

A second for the Premier League side!

It is all too easy for Brighton as Oxford inexplicably leave a huge gap in their defence for Joel Veltman to lift the ball into and this time Brajan Gruda doesn't hesitate as he runs on to it and finishes emphatically.

  2. goal

GOAL - Fulham 2-0 Bristol Citypublished at 20:06 British Summer Time 27 August

    Raul Jimenez (21 mins)

    Game over already?

Harrison Reed picks out Raul Jimenez at the front post with a low corner. He takes a touch, swivels and drills it into the bottom corner.

    Too easy.

The most important thing from a Grimsby perspective is to stay in the game. Don't let United get an early goal and get their tails up.

Everton look sharp as Jack Grealish looks to thread a ball through the Mansfield defence but it's just cut out.

Bristol City burst forward down the right and Sinclair Armstrong tries his luck from a tight angle to the right of the box but it flies over the top.

    Everton 0-0 Mansfield

A really great noise inside the ground as Mansfield fans occupy the area to the left. Plenty in yellow in there.

If Manchester United get knocked out of the League Cup by lowly Grimsby Town, will Ruben Amorim come back from that? I'm not so sure he would.

    Grimsby 0-0 Man Utd

Confident start by the hosts as Darragh Burns is away down the right. He drives a cross towards the far post but it is just over the head of his team-mate.

Great to see Everton filling their new ground for an early round League Cup Game. Give the fans a chance to see the new stadium and a few quid for Mansfield too.

Why do all new stadiums seem to have issues letting people in? Even older stadiums that go ticketless have issues. What’s wrong with an old fashioned ticket and someone on the gate pulling the stub?

    Olivier Boscagli (13 mins)

    This visitors have the lead!

They should have been ahead moments earlier Brajan Gruda rounded the goalkeeper but for some reason hesitated before finishing, allowing Oxford players to get back.

However, Gruda plays his part in the opener as he passes to Olivier Boscagli, whose shot takes a wicked deflection to loop into the net.

Everton need a couple of good cup runs. Hope Moyes picks the right team to get the win tonight. Should be a great atmosphere with Mansfield bringing 7,500!

  19. 'You can feel the excitment but we have a job to do'published at 19:56 British Summer Time 27 August

Grimsby Town v Man Utd (20:00 BST)

    Manchester United

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim speaking to ITV: "I think it's similar in every country when you have a cup game, when you go to lower divisions, the environment is completely different. I think it's really nice here because in Portugal sometimes you adapt the fields, especially in the low clubs fo them to get more money with tickets in the stadiums.

"In here, you can feel the excitement of the small town, so I really appreciate that, but we have a job to do and we have full responsibility in this game."

On Benjamin Sesko's first start: "I think his ability to score goals and create chances and stretch the team. We can use more crosses with him. He's getting there, he's improving, he gives us something different to what we had last season, so let's see today."

On Kobbie Mainoo's mindset tonight: "I think it's the best one. He's prepared to play a game. I know it's hard for a lot of people to understand. Sometimes, we expect a lot from players and we have a lot of young players and sometimes, young players have to live different phases of life. It's not a bad thing. It's not that we're not interested in the success of Kobbie Mainoo or whatever. I have big demands for him and I expect the best for him today."
