  1. 'Very, very good counter attack from United'published at 14:10 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October

    West Ham 0-0 Man Utd

    Michael Brown
Former Manchester City and Tottenham midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Very, very good counter attacking from United. Alejandro Garnacho has a wonderful chance to shoot from wide left, he is found by Bruno Fernandes again in the box, but he can't quite keep the shot on target and it drifts wide of the far post.

It's all Chelsea at the moment. Newcastle are in their own half - and they're struggling to get out. The hosts are pressing well to hold them back.

Sort of feel for Eddie Howe. Look at those respective squads and benches. He's expected to finish above Chelsea with far less resources. He's got two goalkeepers, a few kids and a striker with no PL goals under his belt.

A glorious day in South London with half of the pitch bathed in sunshine.

Tottenham dominating the early exchanges but have had to play themselves out of trouble once or twice at the back.

    West Ham 0-0 Man Utd

    Michael Brown
Former Manchester City and Tottenham midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

It is a brilliant, clinical move from Manchester United. It is great work from Bruno Fernandes to find Alejandro Garnacho, his awareness is so good to unselfishly play in his teammate and Garnacho is unlucky to smash his shot off the bar.

    Chelsea take the lead!

They move through the middle, the ball is played through to Cole Palmer by Nicolas Jacksonand he sends an effort past Nick Post off the far post.

  11. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 14:03 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October

    West Ham 0-0 Man Utd

What a hit that is from Alejandro Garnacho!

Manchester United get on the break and Bruno Fernandes finds the Argentine in space on the edge of the area but his shot hammers off the crossbar.

    Good start for the visitors.

  12. Postpublished at 14:02 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October

    Chelsea 0-0 Newcastle

Positive starts for both teams here.

Newcastle attack but lose the ball and Chelsea counter, with the ball being hit long and knocked down to Noni Madueke.

He produces some nice footwork but his ball into the box is straight to Nick Pope's hands.

Tom: Reserve judgement until the end, but don't be surprised if Fernandes plays too far forward leaving the midfield outnumbered... again!

Craig: Harry Amass on the bench yet again. Could he be another player to have never crossed the white line & play. I remember Ben Hedley doing this at Morecombe.

  15. Sophia Sutton's prediction - Hammers edged out?published at 13:59 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October

West Ham v Man Utd (14:00 GMT)

    Chris Sutton
    BBC Sport predictions expert

BBC Sport predictions expert Chris Sutton could not make his mind up about what would happen in this game (mainly because he has given up on trying to predict what Manchester United will do) so he asked his daughter, Sophia, instead - she went for a 2-1 win for Erik ten Hag's side.

It turns out you lot are almost as indecisive as Chris, though. Out of more than 52,000 score predictions so far, 22% of you have gone for a 1-1 draw, 18% have gone for a 2-1 Manchester United victory, while 17% have gone for the same scoreline, but with West Ham winning.

There are plenty of more outlandish guesses too - although it's slightly surprising that only three of those 52,000 people has gone for a 5-3 scoreline, and only one of them thinks it will go West Ham's way.

What do you think? There's still time to make your prediction if you disagree.

  16. 'No understanding of Lopetegui's philosophy at West Ham'published at 13:58 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October

West Ham v Man Utd (14:00 GMT)

    Ellen White
Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

The issue for West Ham is that Julen Lopetegui is constantly changing his line up. There is no understanding of the philosophy, I don't know if he is able to convey to his players what he wants; are they an attacking team, a possession team or a counter attacking team? The fans want an exciting team to watch and I don't think they are going to get that under Lopretegui.

  17. Postpublished at 13:58 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October

    Chelsea v Newcastle (14:00 GMT)

At an average of just 23 years and 89 days old, Chelsea have named their second youngest average starting XI for a Premier League match, after only vs Crystal Palace in December 2023 (23y 21d).

  18. 'You would not expect Palace to be down there'published at 13:57 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October

Crystal Palace v Tottenham (14:00 GMT)

    Nedum Onuoha
Former Manchester City defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

You just wouldn't expect Crystal Palace to be down the bottom of the table. They did have some significant losses in the summer in Michael Olise and Joachim Andersen but you still would not expect them to be down there. So many teams start the season with grand ambitions but until you start getting wins and points on the board you are sort of trapped.

Tha fans are already starting to show their anguish and unhappiness at West Ham. This is a huge game already for Julen Lopetegui. Last week against Tottenham could have been even worse.

I am still not sure how they want to play. At times they want to clip it long to Michail Antonio, at times they want to play it on the floor, there is petulance, bad decision making. Is the manager one of these to stick it out and turn it around or will it just keep getting worse and worse?

Spurs have had their typical, of late, stop start type of a season. Some great results recently, but Palace away is precisely the fixture I'd expect to result in another frustrating "stop" and the momentum lost. Son isn't playing will be the excuse. As a fan of the club, these are the games that define our progress.
