These two teams are always ready to play their brand of attacking, high risk, high reward football, which features players taking the ball in risky area when playing out from the back.

But the brisk cold on the south coast will be further reason for players to press opposition into mistakes, knowing this surface could add to the difficulty in building up in those areas.

The surface at Vitality Stadium is slick after a day of rain, leading to players slipping during warm-ups. This comes amidst local flood warnings.

This could be quite the spectacle as the final game during the 14th round of Premier League matches.

The error from Brighton was comical, we’re seeing more and more mistakes playing out from the back ending in goals! Especially hurts when it’s your FPL keeper.

Harry Wilson gives away a free kick for the smallest of tugs. Chance to deliver for Brighton now but Jan Paul van Hecke flicks his header way wide. End product not there just yet.

More good attacking play from Fulham as Harry Wilson lifts it through for Rodrigo Muniz but they can't make the most of the attack and Brighton clear.

Simon Adingra picks the ball up on the right, dips inside and has a go but it's a pretty poor attempt as it flies over the top.

The game has quietened down now after a rather ferocious start!

Rodrigo Muniz is really putting himself about, getting in the faces of Lewis Dunk and John Paul van Hecke. He is getting the ball played up to him and it is sticking and he is really helping knit things together. He is being a nuisance for Brighton.

Calvin Bassey is FURIOUS after fouling Carlos Baleba deep in the Brighton half. He's done well to escape a booking there.

    Fulham 1-0 Brighton

Antonee Robinson latches onto a loose ball from Matt O'Riley and Simon Adingra has no option but to bring him down. Avoids any punishment, though.

  9. 'A lot of movement in the Brighton front line'published at 19:49 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Fulham 1-0 Brighton

    Stephen Kelly
Former Fulham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

There has been a lot of movement in the Brighton front line. A lot of interchanging positions between Joao Pedro and Kaoru Mitoma and even Matt O'Riley is joining in to make it a front four at times.

  10. Postpublished at 19:49 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Fulham 1-0 Brighton

Fulham have won just one of their last five Premier League games in which they've scored the opening goal - losing three and drawing once. Doesn't bode too well for them!

Joao Pedro sweeps the ball wide for Simon Adingra but Antonee Robinson just gets enough of a flick on it to direct it onto Adingra's hand.

Pedro has started this game very well in case any of you have him in your FPL team.

I’ve never been a fan of playing out from the back. I do see the merit instead of hoofing it down field but it can be so risky!

  13. 'Excellent movement from Joao Pedro'published at 19:45 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Fulham 1-0 Brighton

    Stephen Kelly
Former Fulham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

It was a great bit of play from Brighton. John Paul van Hecke just puts a slide through ball down the side of the Fulham defence and Joao Pedro gets the run in behind Calvin Bassey.

The finish is not far enough in the corner to create an issue for Bernd Leno but the movement from the forward was excellent.

  14. Postpublished at 19:45 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Fulham 1-0 Brighton

Brighton come forward once again and there's a bit of a scramble in the box as Fulham fail to clear their lines. It falls to Joao Pedro but he scuffs his effort and Fulham hammer it clear.

Fulham have been quietly effective this season, gliding under the radar into the European spots. For now anyway

Rodrigo Muniz, on his first start since August, gets up well from the corner and can only head wide. Maybe should have done better with that one.

Antonee Robinson powers down the left and whips the ball but no Fulham player attacks the front post! Lewis Dunk with a rather odd diving, chested clearance gets it away for a corner.

    Fulham 1-0 Brighton

Brighton are flexing their attacking muscles as Jan Paul van Hecke slides a lovely ball through for Joao Pedro. The strike, from an angle, is at Bernd Leno and he palms clear.

Encouraging stuff for the visitors after falling behind.

  19. Postpublished at 19:41 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

Brighton's Carlos Baleba is well in the thick of it in the opening 10 minutes as he slices a shot over the top.

  20. 'Route one stuff'published at 19:40 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Fulham 1-0 Brighton

    Stephen Kelly
Former Fulham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Alex Iwobi just can't get away from Igor Julio. He does well to shepherd him wide of the goal and get a block on the shot. It was route one stuff from Fulham, a simple flick-on, but it almost worked.
