Fulham are going well. They are getting consistent results. Last season they showed a glimpse of what they are capable of and they have kicked on again this season.

Tonight another win at home would take them up to 7th if other results go their way so they are in a position to get back to those European spots which is what they would love to do.

  2. Brighton's Fulham challengepublished at 19:19 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Fulham v Brighton (19:30 GMT)

I've got a bad stat for you Brighton fans hoping for a win tonight... The Seagulls are yet to beat Fulham in eight Premier League meetings - drawing four and losing four.

Fancy that to change tonight? In order for it to do so, Brighton will have to do something they've never done in the top flight and win at Craven Cottage. Tough ask.

Son Heung-min is fantastic. The bits and pieces of class he can produce, I would be picking him every week. He is a real top player.

I think Fulham has a lot of quality, some results has gone against them probably would’ve getting more points. I believe they can go a long way this season.

  6. 'Difficult to see what Tottenham supporters want'published at 19:13 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Bournemouth v Tottenham (20:15 GMT)

    Tony Pulis
Former Stoke City and Bournemouth manager on BBC Radio 5 Live Extra

Tottenham on their day can beat anybody. With the supporters you just don't know which way they are going to go. They moaned and groaned with Antonio Conte because it was boring football.

Ange Postecoglou has come in and opened the game up and they always look as though they are going to score. They look as though they are going to be good entertainers. It is difficult to see what they want.

What we are seeing for perhaps the first time this season is that Brighton can cope without Lewis Dunk. Before when he was missing it was a case of, what do we do now? However with the arrival of Igor Julio to the club and John Paul van Hecke really showing consistency in his form, it is now ok for Dunk not to be there.

He still plays a massive part and if he is fit he will be the first player on the team sheet. He is captain and has justified that automatic selection. This season and next he will still be the number one centre half.

If Fulham win tonight and Spurs fail to, we could be sixth this evening on goal difference. It's so tight in mid table!

    Bournemouth v Tottenham (20:15 GMT)

    Tony Pulis
Former Stoke City and Bournemouth manager on BBC Radio 5 Live Extra

Lewis Cook is one of those unsung heroes of this Bournemouth team. One of those players that you pick week in and week out. If you ask players in the squad about him they would all want him to be starting because he is such an unselfish player.

  10. Solanke and Semenyo return for Spurs and Bournemouthpublished at 19:05 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Bournemouth v Tottenham (20:15 GMT)

    Nizaar Kinsella

  11. 'I enjoy watching Tottenham'published at 19:04 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Bournemouth v Tottenham (20:15 GMT)

Bournemouth have beaten Arsenal and Manchester City at home this season. Can they add Tottenham to that list?

"Their stats are amazing and they are top scorers in the competition," boss Andoni Iraola said.

"They have so many threats, especially offensively and they are really good in their position. It's going to be very difficult.

"The past season we played very well. Even playing well, they beat us 3-1 [at Spurs in December], but I think we played well.

"These games you have to be very good and better than them in the boxes because they are high quality. They are a very good team that I enjoy watching."

  12. Solly on the Marchpublished at 19:02 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Fulham v Brighton (19:30 GMT)

Try to contain your excitement Brighton fans as Solly March is almost ready to return after not kicking a ball in anger in over a year.

The 30-year-old has had two knee operations to repair meniscus damage and a ruptured cruciate ligament after landing awkwardly in the 2-1 defeat at Manchester City in October 2023.

"He said to me yesterday, 'gaffer I’m ready,' Fabian Hurzeler said. "But I think it’s important that we calm him down and give him the time to be prepared for a Premier League game after all this time.

"We don’t want to make two steps at one time.

"He needs to improve his condition and physical shape to be fully ready for the intensity of the Premier League. I am sure he will improve fast and let’s see if we can see him before Christmas or after.

"It’s important we don’t put pressure on him as a player."

  13. 'We are happy it is going like this but it is hard work'published at 19:00 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Fulham v Brighton (19:30 GMT)

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler speaking to Amazon Prime: "I wouldn'y say that I am surprised [at how he's adapted to the Premier League]. It is about the belief in the process and potential from the squad. If you see them working every day then you see that they are trying to improve. We are happy it is going like this but it is hard work so we need to keep moving on.

On changes: "It is a difficult situation because we have two games in quite short a period so we need to take care of the players and see who is ready for today and then who is in the best shape on Sunday. "

On Danny Welbeck's absence: "It is a small issue that he got after conceding a foul against Southampton. We have to take care of him and hopefully he will be back on Sunday."

On Carlos Baleba: "He brings something special into the team. He is very powerful and dynamic. In possession he is clever and knows how to solve the one on one situations. He improves every game. His hype is big and justified but we have to take care of him and make sure he stays grounded."

On Fulham: "It is important to have the right balance of high pressure and low pressure against Fulham because they are a very good team and they have a lot of quality. I want us to try to control the game and create chances in a good structure. In the final third we have to improve."

On watching from the stands: "I don't know how it will be. It is the first time for me. I am looking forward to the experience."

  14. 'An important month for everybody'published at 18:57 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Fulham v Brighton (19:30 GMT)

    Fulham

Fulham boss Marco Silva speaking to Amazon Prime: "The games are coming thick and fast, after tonight we have not even 72 hours to recover for the next game. December is always like that. You have to manage the load of some players. So that and the suspensions and the strategy we want to play to be at our best level means that we made some changes.

On Harry Wilson's first league start of the season: "He has been very important for us this season. Like all the others he wants to start all the games and he is showing that he is capable to do it. He is a great example of how to be important from the start or from the bench."

On Andreas Pereira on the bench: "There is not just Andreas. There are eight more players also on the bench."

On the busy fixture list: "It is an important month for everybody. Everyone knows how tough the calendar is with the seven or eight games played before January 5th, it will impact the rest of the season."

On Brighton: "Let's hope we can score and not concede. Two teams that have a clear identity and try to win football matches. We have to be compact because they have so much quality in the front line and are dangerous in possession and in the transitions. It is going to demand a lot from ourselves to reach the same levels off and on the ball."

  17. Don't write off Son, says Postecogloupublished at 18:48 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Bournemouth v Tottenham (20:15 GMT)

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has warned people against writing off captain Son Heung-min.

Son, 32, has only scored four goals this season.

"I think there were questions about Mo [Salah] maybe a year or so ago," Postecoglou said.

"Go for it, it might help me if you write him off. I don't get that sense. I still feel from a physical output and the quality he has and certainly from a mentality point of view, I haven't seen it.

"What I do know is, from my own experience, the end comes pretty quickly. It's not falling off a cliff, but you find with a lot of great players that all of a sudden it's gone from bang to bang. It's not a slow deterioration.

"I don't see that in Sonny, I still think he's got a hell of a lot of quality and from a physical standpoint, the way he looks after himself, I don't see his abilities diminishing just due to the age factor at the moment. I don't see that."

  18. Goals guaranteed at Craven Cottagepublished at 18:45 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Fulham v Brighton (19:30 GMT)

Fulham have both scored and conceded in all six of their Premier League home games this season. Surely that means we're guaranteed goals here?

    Sorry, everyone...

  19. 'I'm proud' - Fulham boss Silvapublished at 18:42 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Fulham v Brighton (19:30 GMT)

Fulham boss Marco Silva says he is "proud" of the season his side are having as a win tonight would take them up to sixth in the table.

"I'm proud because I can feel that we all have confidence. Sometimes it comes from results, other times from the way you perform. We all share the same confidence because we all know the way we work and the players know their abilities as well. When you see fans proud, I have to be proud because our job is to make them proud. If we play any side and are at our best, then it is difficult for them [the opposition] as well."
