    Fulham 1-0 Brighton

Carlos Baleba picks the ball up deep in the Fulham half and he looks to find Kaoru Mitoma but there's too much on it. Chance for Brighton to make more of that than they did.

    Fulham 1-0 Brighton

Alex Iwobi is through again! Bernd Leno hoofs one forward and it skips through to Iwobi but Igor Julio does well to block his effort. Should have hit it sooner.

    Fulham 1-0 Brighton

It's certainly not one Bart Verbruggen will want to see again but that is the life of a goalkeeper sometimes when you play this risk-and-reward style. Something to learn from.

  5. 'Terrible from Verbruggen'published at 19:36 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Fulham 1-0 Brighton

    Stephen Kelly
Former Fulham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

It is absolutely terrible from Bart Verbruggen. Fulham are so high up the pitch and put on such intense pressure. The Brighton keeper gets the ball to his feet and tries to play out and gifts the ball to Alex Iwobi who just taps it into the far corner nice and calmly.

    Alex Iwobi (3 mins)

Bart Verbruggen, what have you done?!

Brighton take risks at the back but they've pushed it too far this time as Verbruggen tries to find Carlos Baleba in his own box but he plays straight to Alex Iwobi and he passes it into an open goal.

As easy as you like for Fulham.

    Fulham 0-0 Brighton

Matt O'Riley's corner is poor and headed away at the front post. No bother for Brighton, though, as they begin to build from the back again.

  8. Postpublished at 19:33 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Fulham 0-0 Brighton

Brighton are zipping it about nicely on this slick Craven Cottage pitch as Kaoru Mitoma finds Joao Pedro's run and he wins the first corner of the game.

    Fulham 0-0 Brighton

Only one of the last 44 games between these two have ended goalless. Promising signs if you ask me.

  12. 'Reasons to back either side'published at 19:29 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

Fulham were excellent against Tottenham on Sunday and their boss Marco Silva is probably still scratching his head about how they lost so heavily to Wolves the last time they were at Craven Cottage.

Regular readers will know I usually go with Fulham to win at home but I am not sure this time, because of how good Brighton have been so far.

There are reasons to back either side here, so I am going to split the difference and go with a draw.

    Sutton's prediction: 1-1

  15. 'There will be a lot of goals'published at 19:25 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Bournemouth v Tottenham (20:15 GMT)

Good luck to anyone trying to predict this one. The only thing I am sure about is that there will be a lot of goals.

Wolves went toe to toe with Bournemouth on Saturday and the Cherries created chance after chance.

Tottenham will go toe to toe with the Cherries too, and there are going to be a lot of opportunities at both ends.

I don't want to go for another draw this week, and I think Bournemouth are more likely to edge it... but rather than trying to pick a winner I am going to say they will share the points.

    Sutton's prediction: 2-2

  17. 'You just have to deal with it'published at 19:23 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Tony Pulis
Former Stoke City and Bournemouth manager on BBC Radio 5 Live Extra

Most teams are starting to pick up knocks left right and centre going into this busy period but you just have to deal with it. They have big squads, almost two players for every position now in the Premier League, so they can spread it round and cover certain areas.

    Bournemouth v Tottenham (20:15 GMT)

Fraser Forster is yet to keep a clean sheet in a Premier League away game for Tottenham, conceding 23 goals in eight appearances on the road.

The last time he kept one in an away league game was in March 2021 for Southampton at Sheffield United.

  19. 'Hurzeler needs two or three transfer windows to find consistency'published at 19:21 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December

    Fulham v Brighton (19:30 GMT)

    Adam Virgo
Former Brighton captain on The Football News Show

I think it always takes a couple of transfer windows to get consistency. In time Fabian Hurzeler will be able to bring in the players that can work to his style and his philosophy in the way that he wants to play.

The results have papered over the issues to a certain extent. They don't keep many clean sheets; they shipped four in one half against Chelsea, they had to come from three goals down in the second half against Tottenham, they had to come from two goals down in the second half against Man City - they have always played in halves rather than complete 90 minute performances.

I do think that in two or three windows we will see a fair reflection of where they are at when Hurzeler has the right players to fit his way.

Responding to Tony Pulis comment "Tottenham on their day can beat anyone" that is true, but they can also lose to anyone when it is not their day and it hasn't been there day very often under Ange.
