Yes, Jhon Duran is certainly Hungry Like the Wolf for goals.

Another chance for Ollie Watkins to make it three!

Ian Maatsen cuts it back from the byeline for Watkins in the middle of the penalty area but his left-foot shot is just wide of the post.

It's one the striker would expect to score.

  4. 'Villa have got over 80% possession'published at 19:03 British Summer Time 14 September

There is a long time left in this game for Everton to be defending the way they are with a back five and four in front.

Villa have got over 80% possession at the moment - it is defence against attack.

Can only see 3-2 Everton from here. Villa flattering to deceive and lucky with the second goal. Everton's season to properly start from here.

Ooooh. Morgan Rogers squares it for Ollie Watkins but it's just not quite right and the England striker can't get there.

Watkins wasn't happy with that. It was a simple pass and would've been a simple finish for his hat-trick.

Everton sitting so deep after that equaliser and the home supporters are up for this.

I don't want to say it feels inevitable that Villa will score. But, it's all Villa right now.

Jack Harrison puts it on a plate for Ollie Watkins and Michael Keane can't get his team-mate out of trouble.

    That is a simple finish.

I feel sorry for Harrison, he is stretching and worrying that someone is going to get in behind him.

Sometimes your luck is just not in.

Again it's a ball over the top and Watkins possesses that threat, but there was no danger!

Harrison is stretching and he inadvertently puts it into the path of Watkins, he slots it past Jordan Pickford.

    Oh dear, oh dear.

Youri Tielemans sends in a dangerous looking ball and Jack Harrison looks to cut it out but instead ends up flicking it on for Ollie Watkins, who pokes into the back of the net.

Back-to-back games where Everton have let a two-goal lead slip.

Will Everton come to rue that golden opportunity missed by Dominic Calvert-Lewin?

I know that we're not going to win, but it is good that we are scoring more goals this early in the season! I think our defence will naturally improve as the season goes on, with injuries coming back and players remembering how to play. We struggled with scoring all last year and already this year we're scoring quite a few against some good teams too!

Joe, Evertonian who expected another 4-0 loss

Starting a message with 'I know we're not going to win' when you're 2-1 up...

The first person inside Villa Park who looked for an offside flag, Dominic Calvert-Lewin because he knows he should have put his team three-up.

  18. 'Calvert-Lewin takes too long'published at 18:49 British Summer Time 14 September

The football was fantastic from Everton.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin just takes too long.

  19. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Erm, what was that?

Aston Villa think Dominic Calvert-Lewin is way offside and allow the striker to bear down on Emi Martinez.

He hesitates with the ball, though and gives Ezri Konsa time to do enough to clear the ball.

Replays show he just might've been onside. Should've done better.
