This is the first ever meeting between FC Halifax Town and Exeter City in the FA Cup proper (first round onwards).
Exeter are set to face a non-league side in the FA Cup first round for a second consecutive season, winning 5-3 against Barnet last season.
FC Halifax Town have progressed from one of their six FA Cup ties against Football League opponents, knocking out Morecambe after a replay in the first round in 2018-19.
Exeter reached the FA Cup fourth round last season before eventually going out against Nottingham Forest on penalties. It was their best FA Cup campaign since they reached the quarter-finals in 1980-81.
