    Time for a cuppa.

    Watford 1-0 West Brom

West Brom again look threatening as one minute of added-time is announced.

Callum Styles in the thick of it again as he sends in a slow cross for Karlan Grant and Josh Maja, but the former's shot isn't going to unduly trouble Daniel Bachmann.

    Watford 1-0 West Brom

The Baggies are pushing for an equaliser as we approach the break.

First, nice play sends Karlan Grant down the right and he fires across goal but keeper Daniel Bachmann parries it clear.

Then it's over to Callum Styles who puts a shot just wide of the far post after being slipped in by Grant.

This game is shaping up nicely.

  4. 'If they had more quality we'd be behind'published at 14:45 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December

    Watford 1-0 West Brom

    Derek Payne
Former Watford midfielder on BBC Three Counties Radio

West Brom in the final third have got in behind the Watford backline on five or six occasions.

If they had that little bit more quality we'd be behind.

Luckily for Watford, they haven't quite had the composure to punish us.

  5. Postpublished at 40 mins

    Watford 1-0 West Brom

The Baggies have plenty of time to turn this around and protect their 12-match unbeaten run.

Mind you, you have to go back seven trips and to November 2007 for the last time they took three points at Vicarage Road.

  6. 'Just so simple'published at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December

Just inside the box, a simple cross. Vakoun Bayo gets on the end of it and directs it in.

Albion have defended so well up until this point but they'll be so disappointed to give that goal away.

Just so simple, the cross isn't marked up, simple header, now we're one behind.

    We have lift off!

Vakoun Bayo gets some hangtime to meet Rocco Vata's cross from the left and his downward header finds the bottom right corner of the net

That's his eighth of the season and it puts the hosts in the box seat.

They've conceded just four league goals at home this season.

    Watford 0-0 West Brom

Something for you corner fans - the Hornets win the first in the 32nd minute as Torbjorn Heggem concedes it.

The ball eventually falls to Imran Louza who thumps a half-volley over the bar after Moussa Sissoko's initial shot was blocked.

The visitors now under a little pressure

Moussa Sissoko sends a cross into the Baggies box, but finds no-one, and Jonathan Morris then repeats the trick from the left.

Still just the one attempt on target.

[Tom] Fellows does really well there to get the ball into Racic who just couldn't get the connection right.

Albion do look dangerous when Fellows gets it down that right-hand side.

West Brom are stepping it up at Vicarage Road.

Callum Styles sends in a set-piece to the near post and met by Darnell Furlong who heads well wide.

Uros Racic then tries his luck from range but it also flies wide.

Watford then look to counter, but Kwadwo Baah's low cross evades everyone.

It was a good strike that could have easily gone in here.

Sometimes you need a little bit of luck - it rattled the crossbar and bounced up.

It's been a good start to the game.

    Giorgi Chakvetadze again looking troublesome.

The Georgian international reaches the edge of the box and has a pop.

But it's weak and easily claimed by Alex Palmer.

Then a good chance for the visitors as Josh Maja heads a deep cross back across goal.

A half-clearance falls to Uros Racic in the box, but he skies his shot way over the bar. Row Z anyone?

Watford's Georgian maestro Giorgi Chakvetadze drives through the middle and releases Vata down the left.

He can't have a shot initially, but the ball falls kindly to him in the box and he smashes a shot against the crossbar!

Nearly back-to-back goals for the Irish youth international.

Some big news coming in this afternoon.

Des Buckingham has left his role as head coach of Oxford United, the club has announced.

Buckingham joined the U's in November 2023 and led them to promotion from League One last season.

He departs with Oxford 20th in the Championship and one point above the relegation zone.

It comes following a 3-1 defeat at home to Sheffield Wednesday yesterday, which made it one win in their past 15 games (D6 L8).

Nervous moment for the hosts as they're caught playing out from the back.

Watford keeper Daniel Bachmann gives the ball away trying to pass out from the back and Jayson Molumby pounces.

His shot is blocked by a team-mate, and Joseph Ngakia hacks the loose ball clear.

    Watford 0-0 West Brom

Watford already looking a threat on the break.

Girogi Chakvetadze breaks up an Albion attack and drives forward, eventually releasing Vakoun Bayo.

The Ivorian takes a touch, but the Baggies get numbers back, and his pass towards Kwanwo Baah is cut out.

It's interesting early on, the left winger Baah for Watford is a giant and Albion have got Callum Styles marking him who isn't the biggest of players.

    That'll be an interesting battle!
