Big mistake at the back by Wycombe.

David Wheeler's header back to Shamal George is never reaching its intended target and Alex Reid nips in but the goalkeeper makes the block for a corner.

Wycombe clear the corner away but they're looking a lot less assured than they were in the first period.

Wycombe send in the corner and Ryan Tafazolli rises highest to nod towards goal but Jacob Adams is there to make a very good save from close range.

Beryly Lubala escapes down the right for Wycombe, Brandon Hanlan is waiting for a cross but he delays and Enzio Boldewijn gets back to block the cross for a corner.

Max Kretzschmar, a former Wycombe player, has a dip from distance for Wealdstone - it's ambitious, in fact a little overambitious and it dribbles into the hands of Shamal George.

Wealdstone have come out fired-up for the second-half.

Wealdstone are quick out of the traps as Sam Ashford wins them a corner - it's headed away but when a deep ball is sent back into the box the Wycombe goalkeeper Shamal George botches a catch and it eventually reaches Sam Ashford but his shot is saved by George.

Wycombe lead through Beryly Lubala's stunning free-kick but Wealdstone will be kicking themselves.

Six minutes before Lubala's wonder strike, Alex Reid wasted a golden opportunity to give the National League side the lead as he side-footed over from six yards with the goal at his mercy.

Wealdstone have more than held their own but you feel haven't done enough to properly unsettle Wycombe.

The atmosphere around Grosvenor Vale is also making it pretty comfortable for the visitors - it needs more of a cup tie feel about it, maybe we'll get that in the second-half.

It's 2018 since Wycombe last made the third round of the FA Cup and with a League One promotion charge and the EFL Trophy on their hands victory today would make it a very busy few months.

Still time for Wealdstone to have a say in that but they'll need to do a lot more.

It's very quiet around Grosvenor Vale and that Wycombe goal seems to have sucked the life out of the home crowd.

Up to that point they'll have been optimistic about their side's chances but Wycombe are playing a very controlled game.

Anthony Georgiou goes on another run down the left for Wealdstone but his driven shot is blocked by Jack Grimmer at the expense of a corner.

The set piece is allowed to go all the way across the face of the Wycombe goal and out for a goal kick - Georgiou has caused some problems for the visitors' defence.

It's also the nineteenth successive game in which Matt Bloomfield's side have scored and that's with leading scorer Richard Kone on the bench today.

This is a good spell for Wealdstone as Anthony Georgiou gets down the left and from inside the box drives a shot at Shamal George which the former Colchester goalkeeper beats away.

Desperately trying to see if the ball got a bobble for that chance for Alex Reid - it didn't and it's a big opportunity missed by Wealdstone - the best chance of the game.

It might be warming up now - on the field that is - it's freezing otherwise.

Oh, what a miss!

A huge chance for Wealdstone as Sam Ashford slides the ball across the six yard box and at the far post Alex Reid with the goal gaping side-foots the ball over the bar - should be 1-0.

A chance for Kallum Cesay to get a decent ball into the box for Wealdstone but from a narrow angle he panics and blazes the ball over the bar and out of the ground - Alex Reid was waiting for a cross.

Wycombe launch a long throw into the Wealdstone box but it's solidly headed away.

The visitors deliver the ball back into the area and another clearance is sent skywards - just signs Wycombe are getting to grips with things.

Wealdstone will be very satisfied with the start they have made.

Okay, it hasn't been the rip roaring cup tie the neutrals are hoping for but the National League side have stifled the League One leaders.

Adrian Mariappa clears the ball away for Wealdstone as Wycombe threaten.

Mariappa has been a runner-up in the FA Cup twice with Crystal Palace and Watford - if he's a runner-up this season then we really will have a story.

Mind you, Wealdstone wouldn't have far to travel - Grosvenor Vale is only about six miles from Wembley.
