  1. Early Killie changepublished at 15:25 British Summer Time 11 August

    Kilmarnock 0-1 St Johnstone

Kilmarnock make a change after that red card. Lewis Mayo is on, replacing Rory McKenzie.

An uphill struggle to get a positive result in this one.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:21 British Summer Time 11 August

    Aberdeen 0-0 St Mirren

St Mirren's physical approach has exhausted the patience of referee Grant Irvine.

Roland Idowu just pushes over Aberdeen's Nicky Devlin and it's the game's first booking.

  3. RED CARD - Wright (Kilmarnock)published at 15:20 British Summer Time 11 August

    Kilmarnock 0-1 St Johnstone

    Oh no.

Joe Wright lunges in to a challenge on Benjamin Kimpioka and catches the Swedish striker.

A mad tackle to make when you're on a yellow card, and Wright gets his marching orders.

  4. Postpublished at 15:20 British Summer Time 11 August

    Aberdeen 0-0 St Mirren

St Mirren threaten for the first time as the pacey Toyosi Olusanya outstrips Slobodan Rubezic and attempts a shot from a wide angle but it goes all the way out on the other side for a throw.

  5. 'We were fortunate to be two down at half-time'published at 15:18 British Summer Time 11 August

    FT: Hibernian 0-2 Celtic

    David GrayImage source, SNS

Hibs boss David Gray tells BBC Scotland: "I think it's clear to see, the first-half performance especially, you can't give a team like Celtic a goal head-start after three minutes.

"When you make individual errors and don't show bravery on the ball, it can be a long afternoon. We were probably fortunate to only go into half-time 2-0 down.

"Second half was better, we carried more of a threat and a bit more composure on the ball. Obviously we're really disappointed to lose the game; we need to learn quickly because we've got it all to do again next weekend away from home.

"We've got a bit of short-term pain at the moment but I'm really positive about where we can take the squad.

"While the window's open we always need to be active. Naturally there will be ins and outs."

  6. Super Saints startpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 11 August

Was about to talk about the lively start from Kilmarnock but instead it's the wee pocket of Saints fans celebrating.

Nice, tidy hooked finish from Adama Sidibeh when Killie keeper Robby McCrorie hesitated to come off his line.

There's a very happy-looking Craig Levein down on the touchline in front of me.

  7. That man Gogicpublished at 15:11 British Summer Time 11 August

    Aberdeen 0-0 St Mirren

More noise from the home crowd and - surprise, surprise - Alex Gogic is involved again.

He and Shaun Rooney sandwich Jamie McGrath after a throw-in comes into the St Mirren box and Gogic's header concedes the corner, but the Aberdeen faithful wanted more.

  8. goal

GOAL! Kilmarnock 0-1 St Johnstonepublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 11 August

    Adama Sidibeh

He'd already caused problems in the Killie backline after Joe Wright was booked two minutes in for fouling him, and now he's scored!

It's another soft goal from a Kilmarnock point of view. A flick on is allowed to bounce in the area and Adama Sidibeh holds off his marker to hook the ball past Robby McCrorie.

  9. Big callpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 11 August

    Aberdeen 0-0 St Mirren

Controversy at Pittodrie as Shayden Morris plays Ester Sokler in behind the St Mirren defence and Alex Gogic bundles the striker over just outside the box.

No whistle from the referee and the home fans are incensed.

Good showing from the Kilmarnock fans, who've come in good numbers to three of the four stands here at Rugby Park.

Shirt-sleeve order in the Ayrshire sunshine. There's a wee smattering of Saints fans in the stand to my left - just about a bus load.

Who'll be cheering the loudest come full-time?

  16. Rodgers pleased with 'real winning attitude'published at 14:55 British Summer Time 11 August

    FT: Hibernian 0-2 Celtic

"Easter Road is one of the most difficult places to come in Scottish football," says a delighted Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers.

"I thought we were very good for large spells. There were moments in the second half when we went too long, too early.

"We made a great start and showed a real winning attitude and we have quality. We should have had a few more goals."

He is then asked about the future of Matt O'Riley, who has been the subject of interest from Atalanta and linked with Brighton.

"I don't think we can replace like-for-like," said Rodgers. "If he did leave, to get someone like that straight away would be very difficult. If he did go, it would be for big money and obviously we won't be spending that on one player.

"I'm not overthinking it. He's a gifted player that I love working with. His attitude is first class and he knows I trust him 100%."

  17. 'Extra incentive for Sanders' - Leveinpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 11 August

    Kilmarnock v St Johnstone (15:00)

St Johnstone manager Craig Levein tells BBC Scotland: "[Sam] has torn his Achilles tendon so that's pretty much the full season [out]. People can come back in eight or nine months, but Sam's written the season off.

"I wasn't sure what my defence was going to be until the last minute [last week] and Jack [Sanders] was unlucky not to start. He's come in and I have a lot of confidence in him. With him being at Kilmarnock for the last few years, coming here is an added incentive for him.

"I was relatively pleased with the performance last week and we got stronger as the game got on. Today will be a tough game as Derek's sides are always very fit."

    Kilmarnock v St Johnstone (15:00)

After his Achilles rupture last week against Aberdeen, the bad news for St Johnstone's Sam McClelland is that he will now miss the rest of the season, manager Craig Levein confirms.

  19. Sanders only change for Saintspublished at 14:45 British Summer Time 11 August

    Kilmarnock v St Johnstone (15:00)

There's just the one change for Craig Levein from the opening day defeat to Aberdeen and it's an enforced one.

Centre-back Sam McClelland ruptured his Achilles last Monday and he's replaced by former Kilmarnock man Jack Sanders in defence.

Cammy MacPherson continues to start in midfield after he apologised to supporters for reposting a video by far-right activist Tommy Robinson.

The 25-year-old was disciplined internally by the club during the week, with new Saints majority shareholder Adam Webb saying MacPherson broke the club's "rules of conduct".

  20. 'We're proud of our home record' - McInnespublished at 14:43 British Summer Time 11 August

    Kilmarnock v St Johnstone (15:00)

Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes tells BBC Scotland: "There's a realisation from when we played in Belgium to Motherwell [next week] that we've got six games in 17 days.

"I'm not going to complain about that. It doesn't help with injuries and illness kicking about, so we're trying to manage it.

"You don't want to prioritise one game over another. Our first home league game is very important to us, we're proud of our record at home.

"I've got to look ahead but we have to keep our eyes on this game. The team picked today is strong, balanced and has freshness. I'll try and use my subs early."
