Not the start Brighton would have wanted.

Just a matter of seconds into the game and Jack Hinshelwood has come out of a tackle on Evanilson looking the worse for wear.

He appears to be in a fair bit of pain and it doesn't look like he's going to be able to carry on.

Emiliano Martinez is one of the best goalkeepers in world football. The move was being forced upon him because of the money he is on. The backline will be delighted that he is back in goal.

Wolves almost score with about eight seconds on the clock. They go long from kick-ff, Rodrigo Gomes skips into space in the box and forces a save from Nick Pope.

Nottingham Forest manager Ange Postecoglou, speaking to TNT Sports: "Obviously a disappointing outcome for us. They're a good side and at home, they're a tough proposition.

"Can't fault the lads' effort but we struggled to get a grip of the game and the second goal after half-time just allowed them to get away from us. Disappointing but can't fault the effort."

On improving with training time: "This week, it's fair to say, was fairly disruptive for the players. International week as well so they didn't get in until Thursday or Friday then with a new manager, I'm trying to implement new things.

"So it's entirely understandable that they probably haven't got clarity of thought at the moment. But that's my job to try and embed that over the new few weeks and I'm sure we will because there is a willing group of players to do that."

On new players: "There's opportunities, we've got enough games. Carabao Cup and then Europe kicking off. I was encouraged by the performance of the lads who came on today, that's why they were signed. But they've only had a small time to integrate into the team. I'm sure with some training time and opportunities to play, we'll see what they can contribute."

On the job ahead of him: "It hasn't been an ideal prep for the players and you have to take that into account. All you can ask for is effort and unfortunately, against a very good opponent, today was a bridge too far.

"This is a group of players who showed last year how hard they fight for each other. Disappointment today but there's only one way to respond.

"They're all big jobs. I haven't taken over an easy one yet but that's why I'm here. I love the challenge and we'll get to where we want to."

On Murillo's injury: "Looks like just a knock, so hopefully with some rest he'll be OK."

  7. Postpublished at 14:57 BST

The players are heading out onto the pitch at grounds across the Premier League as the 3pm kick-offs approach.

A big feel good atmosphere at Everton as the Toffees look to continue their strong start to the season.

The teams have just been read out by the stadium announcer over the public address system ahead of the game.

And the mere mention of record signing Nick Woltemade's name was met by a huge roar from Newcastle United fans.

It's the battle of the new forwards as Tolu Arokodare also makes his debut for Wolves.

  10. 'I thought you'd be selfish' - Keown to Maduekepublished at 14:51 BST

    FT: Arsenal 3-0 Nottingham Forest

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on TNT Sports

I was worried about you [Noni Madueke] when you came because I thought sometimes you can be a little bit selfish but now you seem to have really good balance to your play. The decisions you've been making have been outstanding.

  11. 'They always do something special'published at 14:50 BST

Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres, speaking to TNT Sports: "We came back and we wanted to do a better performance than the last game [at Liverpool], I think we did that so a great day."

On scoring at the Emirates: "It feels amazing, just a great feeling to core and get the win as well."

On settling in at Arsenal: "It feels great, the guys in the team have been amazing. It's been so easy to get into the group. But, of course, there is a bit of time where you have to settle in with everything around."

On playing with Eze and Madueke: "Those two are amazing in their positions, they always do something special. We definitely saw that today."

On Zubimendi's first goal: "I haven't seen him to that in training, to be fair, so it was good that he pulled that one out! The header as well, I was a bit surprised with that but great to see him score two."

On Champions League starting this week: "We focus on this game, now we have the game in Champions League on Tuesday. It's a competition that we want to compete in so we'll go there and try our best to win them all."

  12. 'Arsenal showed scary strength'published at 14:50 BST

    FT: Arsenal 3-0 Nottingham Forest

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on TNT Sports

That was a real scary show of strength from Arsenal today with the quality of player. You've been without Havertz and Saka unavailable and that was a problem for Arsenal last season, but not this.

Madueke, Eze coming in today, both of them outstanding. This man [Viktor Gyokeres] as well, Gyokeres, what about that second goal, so direct, forward pass. This man in the box is a real predator. The quality of the group, even this young man [Mosquera] at the back, what a performance that was. His full debut at Arsenal, home game, outstanding.

At the moment, Arsenal are looking so strong.

Eze is starting to purr, you're seeing the touches, you're seeing the flicks. And above all else, you're seeing a winning performance from Arsenal and I think that's a huge message that Arsenal are better equipped this time around.

I know we’ve hardly seen him but why did Chelsea bring in Gittens and sell Madueke? Arsenal fans protested against Madueke’s signing but he looks good.

  14. 'Arsenal have signed some great players'published at 14:47 BST

    FT: Arsenal 3-0 Nottingham Forest

    Peter Crouch
Former Tottenham striker on TNT Sports

They've signed some great players. Eze and Madueke at times were unplayable. I thought the luxury to rest Rice, Merino and Zubimendi were so comfortable in there, such technical footballers. They gave a good account of themselves. A great day for Arsenal.

  15. 'Sunderland will have to wait for first away point'published at 14:46 BST

Crystal Palace v Sunderland (15:00 BST)

    .

It was huge for Crystal Palace to keep hold of defender Marc Guehi, despite Liverpool's efforts to sign him on deadline day.

Fair play to Guehi for the way he conducted himself through that transfer saga - I have a lot of admiration for him.

I should have gone with the Eagles to beat Aston Villa last time out because of their recent results against Unai Emery's side - they played them four times last season, winning three and drawing the other.

I am not going to make the same mistake this time. Palace are missing the injured Adam Wharton and Ismaila Sarr but their boss Oliver Glasner has a knack of making his side extremely effective no matter who is missing.

Sunderland have done brilliantly to win their first two home games and I can see them making this quite tight, but I think they will have to wait a bit longer for their first point on the road.

    Sutton's prediction: 1-0

You saw the strength and depth, the substitutes they brought on, whether it's Myles Lewis-Skelly, Nwaneri, Rice, Martinelli, Trossard. They are now a proper squad and they will be a real threat.

Where are all the Noni Madueke complainers now? Really great performance and generally brilliant for Arsenal. Mikel Arteta is really bringing this team on. Silverware? Would rather have been finishing second for three years in a row than getting the Europa trophy! Just saying....

  19. 'Moyes has shown Grealish that love'published at 14:44 BST

Everton v Aston Villa (15:00 BST)

    Jonathan Woodgate
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

David Moyes has done a magnificent job to bring Jack Grealish to the club - he has shown him that love and affection.

Now you can see Jack play to the potential that we have seen over the years.

With the signings of Grealish, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Tyler Dibling - they have those three players that can make the magic happen.

  20. 'Grealish can cause danger'published at 14:43 BST

Everton v Aston Villa (15:00 BST)

    Steph Houghton
Former England and Manchester City captain on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think the quality has always been there with Jack Grealish.

He has not had that run of game with City last season to pick up the form that he showed in the treble season.

I think whenever you give him the ball he can cause danger. The way Everton play it suits him. He likes the fact he is their main player at this moment in time.
