Jon Evans: Could that be anymore Aston Villa? Useless.

  3. 'Devenny strokes it into the side netting'published at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time

    Aston Villa 1-2 Crystal Palace

    Glenn Murray
Former Brighton striker on Final Score

A similar situation to the first goal as Ismaila Sarr gets away and Villa can't catch him. He puts a great low cross into the box and Mateta slides in and misses it, it rolls onto Justin Devenny at the back post who uses the defender to curl it into the bottom corner, strokes it into the side netting.

  4. 'This is why we love Premier League football'published at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time

    Aston Villa 1-2 Crystal Palace

    Will Perry
BBC Radio 5 live commentator at Villa Park

This is why we love Premier League football! Just as Dean Henderson saves a penalty, right up the other end there is Justin Devenny to give Palace the lead.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time

    Everton 0-0 Brentford

Half-time at Goodison Park and the Brentford players go straight to Chris Kavanagh to argue about the red card. I don't really think they can have any arguments.

Interesting to see what the second half will bring. Goals hopefully!

  6. 'Norgaard goes in quite high'published at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time

I think it is the correct decision to show a red card. Christian Norgaard goes in quite high and he does not make any attempt to pull out of the challenge. He has just gone for it and caught Jordan Pickford.

What a brilliant couple of minutes!

Moments after Dean Henderson saved Youri Tielemans' penalty, Palace are breaking up with field.

Ismaila Sarr, scorer of the first goal, finds young Justin Devenny who produces a neat finish.

Wild celebrations among Palace's travelling fans.

  8. 'Norgaard's momentum takes him into Pickford'published at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time

    Everton 0-0 Brentford

Former Brighton striker on Final Score

Jordan Pickford of Everton is fouled by Christian NorgaardImage source, Getty Images

Christian Norgaard has every right to go for the ball. Yoane Wissa slides in front of him and misses the ball, and bear in mind it drops between the Brentford players and Jordan Pickford. Norgaard is well within his right to slide in to try and get contact on the ball, his momentum takes him into Pickford. I think that is really harsh.

  9. Postpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time

    Fulham 1-1 Wolves

Reiss Nelson drops to the ground in the box and wants a penalty but it's never getting given, if we're being honest.

    WHAT. A. SAVE.

John McGinn hands the ball to Youri Tielemans but his attempt is brilliantly kept out by the diving Dean Henderson.

  11. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 15:45 Greenwich Mean Time

    Bournemouth 0-1 Brighton

After a lengthy wait, the offside is confirmed and Brighton stay in front as we enter stoppage time at the end of the first half. Five minutes are added on.

  12. Postpublished at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time

    Everton 0-0 Brentford

After some treatment, Jordan Pickford is okay to carry on as Everton push forward against the 10-men of Brentford.

Mark Flekken gathers the ball and drops to the ground. Is this a theme of what's to come now?

  13. PENALTY TO ASTON VILLApublished at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time

    Aston Villa 1-1 Crystal Palace

    It's given!

A huge chance for Villa to take the lead before half-time.

John McGinn has the ball in his hands.

Cheers go up as Christian Norgaard takes the walk down the tunnel.

Then huge boos as the incident is replayed on the screens inside Goodison Park.

    Cheeky.

    Penalty to Aston Villa?

Leon Bailey goes down inside the Palace penalty area and the referee has been told to go and look at the challenge on the pitchside monitor.

  16. RED CARD - Brentfordpublished at 15:42 Greenwich Mean Time

    Everton 0-0 Brentford

Christian Norgaard has been sent for an early bath after VAR sent referee Chris Kavanagh to the screen to take a look.

It's one of them where he's always going to challenge for the ball but it's studs up and his boot plants right on Jordan Pickford's knee.

  17. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 15:42 Greenwich Mean Time

    Bournemouth 0-1 Brighton

Evanilson looks to have brought Bournemouth level, but the flag is up!

    It will be checked...

Ollie Watkins is supposed to be having an off season.

That was his sixth Premier League goal of the campaign.

  19. Postpublished at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time

    Bournemouth 0-1 Brighton

Not for the first time in this first half, Joao Pedro is down in pain - this time after falling awkwardly after beating Illia Zabarnyi to a header.

It's getting a bit feisty, and not long after Antoine Semenyo is shown a yellow card for a reckless challenge on Georginio Rutter.

With that booking, his fifth of the season, Cherries star Semenyo will now have to serve a suspension.
