    Well, well, well...

No sooner have Wycombe Wanderers took the lead back when Burton Albion grab themselves yet another equaliser through Charlie Webster.

It was a stunning strike from outside the area. Will it end 2-2 or is there yet more to come?

Wigan Athletic are also on for an upset having pulled back their score to 1-1 against Mansfield Town while Crawley and Bristol Rovers have taken 1-0 leads against Lincoln Town and Shrewsbury respectively.

It's an end-to-end game, both teams paying with high tempo in this second half.

Tsaroulla is causing all the problems down the right-hand side for Notts.

Huddersfield have come into this game more as an attacking force since the break and now Danny Ward forces Arthur Okonkwo into a good save.

    Ilmari Niskanen (58 mins)

It is a first Exeter goal, and first in English football, for Ilmari Niskanen.

He is in the right place at the back post to find the net from Jack McMillan's ball.

Will Reading start to wobble as they go for that first away win of the season?

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:02 British Summer Time 22 October 2024

    Birmingham 1-0 Bolton

Goal scorer Tomoki Iwata has been excellent so far this evening and he shows yet another moment of class with a cross towards Ethan Laird.

The right-back gets a head to it and it takes the gloves of Luke Southwood to keep it from going into the net.

It's a fairly routine save but a necessary one.

  9. Postpublished at 21:01 British Summer Time 22 October 2024

    Exeter 0-2 Reading

It's a fine save from Joel Pereira as Exeter are close to halving the deficit.

The former Manchester United goalkeeper, in his first match since August, does well to deny Ilmari Niskanen. The Finland midfielder is desperate for that first Exeter goal!

  10. Postpublished at 20:59 British Summer Time 22 October 2024

    Wrexham 0-0 Huddersfield

A couple of bookings in the first few minutes of this half as the stakes creep up.

Wrexham defender Eoghan O'Connell sees yellow for a foul on Bojan Radulovic and then Huddersfield's David Kasumu is also booked for a foul on Ollie Palmer.

    Barrow 1-0 Notts County

Notts County have started the second half as they ended the first.

Nick Tsaroulla goes on a run and unleashes an effort but it's well blocked.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:58 British Summer Time 22 October 2024

    Birmingham 1-0 Bolton

Bolton midfielder Kyle Dempsey was down and needed treatment in the first-half and it seems he hasn't quite recovered.

He's replaced by John McAtee who will surely try and add some spice into the Bolton attack.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:56 British Summer Time 22 October 2024

    Exeter 0-2 Reading

Joe Whitworth has kept Exeter in the game with a fine save.

It's a good move from Reading as Chem Campbell plays it to Charlie Savage and he goes for the corner, only for Whitworth to get down well to deny him a third Reading goal.

  14. 'Better by Notts'published at 20:54 British Summer Time 22 October 2024

    Barrow 1-0 Notts County

    John Thompson
    Former Notts County captain

Better start by Notts in the second half.

We look a lot brighter, they've had a bit of possession, definitely better than the first half.

    Birmingham 1-0 Bolton

Birmingham City had two shots on target and both went into the net, with Alfie May's being ruled offside.

    Bolton - zero, none, zilch.

Trotters frontman Dion Charles has an effort that goes strolling non-threatening towards the home end epitomising how their evening is going so far.

Can they offer up a threat, given the scoreline is still only 1-0, or will Blues walk away with it?

  16. Postpublished at 20:52 British Summer Time 22 October 2024

    Exeter 0-2 Reading

No surprise to know that Exeter have made two substitutions at half-time in an effort to claw their way back into this match.

Gary Caldwell has thrown on Millenic Alli and Josh Magennis. Sonny Cox and Mustapha Carayol make way.

  17. Postpublished at 20:50 British Summer Time 22 October 2024

    Wrexham 0-0 Huddersfield

What have Wrexham and Huddersfield got in this half?

Hopefully more than one shot on target between them!

Huddersfield have made a change at the break with Danny Ward replacing Callum Marshall - at 33, Ward is probably not far away from veteran status!

It's all going smoothly for the west Midlands at half-time with Birmingham and Walsall both winning and on course to end the evening top.

Will they be derailed in the second half?

  19. League Two updatespublished at 20:47 British Summer Time 22 October 2024

    #bbcefl

Newport lead Gillingham 2-0 who have lost their last four games.

Walsall are 1-0 up against Carlisle through Nathan Lowe's goal and have moved top of the table... for now, anyway.

They're helped by the fact struggling Bromley are in front at second-placed Doncaster thanks to Ben Thompson.

And the fact that previous league leaders Port Vale are being held 0-0 at Harrogate.

Alex Gilbey's goal in the first minute gives MK Dons the lead against Accrington.

Cheltenham v Bradford is 1-1 while Fleetwood are holding Crewe 0-0. And Salford lead Swindon 1-0 and Colchester are 1-0 up at Chesterfield.

  20. Harder work than expected for Bluespublished at 20:45 British Summer Time 22 October 2024

    Birmingham City 1-0 Bolton Wanderers

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at St Andrew's

It was a dream start for Birmingham City going ahead in only the third minute.

But it did not work out so well for the last side to score here in the third minute at St Andrew's - Wrexham last month.

They went on to lose - and Blues still have a lot more hard work to do if they are to make Bolton their fifth home scalp of the season out of six.

As things stand, if this result stays the same and the one at the Racecourse Ground, Blues will extend their lead at the top to four points.

They are the better side, deserve to be ahead and have had other openings too. But, at only 1-0, Bolton still haver a puncher's chance.
