    Wrexham v Huddersfield (19:45 BST)

A simple decision for Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson as he goes with the same XI that won at Rotherham on Saturday.

He would probably love another goal after 16 seconds like Paul Mullin managed three days ago.

There is just one change in the Huddersfield ranks from the side that comfortably beat Bristol Rovers at home.

Ollie Turton comes into midfield in place of Lasse Sorensen.

The Bluebirds are also boosted by the returns of Connor Mahoney and Niall Canavan to their squad.

Gerard Garner starts up top as Andy Dallas misses out.

While leaders Birmingham City and second-place Wrexham may be our feature games tonight, we will be keeping a keen eye on third- place and top-of-the-form-table Wycombe Wanderers as they head to Burton Albion.

The Brewers are the only club across the EFL without a win and find themselves rock bottom of the League One table, level on points with Cambridge United and separated by a single goal.

Cambridge will hoping Burton have a hard time but they also have a tough match of their own to focus on against 10th place Stevenage, while Peterborough United will be looking to bounce back from that disheartening defeat at Adams Park as they host Blackpool.

Mansfield Town's winning run came to an end on Saturday at home to Stevenage but their fine start means they remain within striking distance of the top two and travel to Wigan Athletic with a chance to go second, should other results pan out in their favour.

It's a joint double bill of big games in the second city tonight.

Both Bolton Wanderers and Bologna are in town. And for those who have managed to make it through the traffic to St Andrew's, there is a treat for the home fans.

Blues have £10m striker Jay Stansfield fit again following the "knock" he suffered on England Under-21 international duty - but he only makes it far as the subs' bench.

Boss Chris Davies makes just one change to his starting line-up from Saturday's 1-0 win at Lincoln, brining in Ethan Laird for Taylor Gardner-Hickman.

Bolton make two changes, bringing back Jay Matete and Scott Arfield, with Aaron Collins and John McAtee returning to the bench.

Birmingham City fans have had their money's worth out of their season ticket to St Andrew's so far this League One campaign.

Blues are undefeated at their home ground for seven consecutive league games, taking all three points in their past four - but awaiting them tonight is a team who are on an upward ascent.

Visitors Bolton Wanderers are in the midst of their own hot streak, without defeat in their past five league games and victors in three of their past four away fixtures in the third tier.

Not to mention, Birmingham failed to find success in either of their past two leagues meetings with the Trotters. Though they do have the upper hand when it comes to their record at St Andrew's.

Bolton have won the past three of five trips to Blues' home ground but that's as many wins as they had in their past 22 visits combined.

Birmingham haven't won five home games in a row since 2003 so it'll be cause for celebration if they do take the win this evening. Not that Blues fans haven't had a whole feast of things to rave about lately.

    Exeter v Reading (19:45 BST)

Exeter City manager Gary Caldwell shouts instructionsImage source, Rex Features

Be honest, who had Exeter City down as play-off contenders?

Well in one of the most stacked League Ones anyone can remember, the Grecians are mixing it with some of the division's big hitters.

Gary Caldwell's men have collected 13 points out of a possible 15 - the same as fellow dark horses Wycombe - which has been built on the back of League One's meanest defence with only six goals conceded and five successive clean sheets.

For Reading, their opening 10 games have followed a consistent pattern, great at home, rubbish on the road.

Only bottom side Cambridge have been worse away, and unless the Royals start accumulating a few points on the road, they will not escape mid-table.

  7. Hollywood glamour v Yorkshire gritpublished at 19:26 British Summer Time 22 October

    Wrexham v Huddersfield (19:45 BST)

Huddersfield Town manager Michael DuffImage source, Rex Features

For a match between a side promoted from League Two and one relegated from the Championship, you would expect the side recently down from the second tier to start as favourites.

    Well, not here.

Wrexham have taken to the third tier with the same ease as the two divisions below and are sitting very nicely in second, thanks in no small part to five wins out of five at home.

Huddersfield's drop to this level has been bumpy and erratic with six wins and five defeats as head coach Michael Duff battles to find the right formula.

But claiming a Hollywood scalp would be a good way to show he is on track in west Yorkshire.

League leaders Port Vale, who can stretch their unbeaten run to 10 games, travel to Harrogate.

Darren Moore's side are looking to make it four wins on the bounce this evening and have won their last two on the road.

Second in the table Doncaster Rovers will be looking to capitalise on any potential slip-ups as they sit just a point behind top spot.

They face Bromley who are winless in four away league games (D2 L2), failing to score in both of their last two and this will be the first ever Football League meeting between the two sides.

Walsall welcome second from bottom Carlisle to the Bescot Stadium on the back of the Saddlers’ 4-1 resounding win at Notts County on Saturday.

Bradford make the trip to Cheltenham with the Bantams eyeing up four wins in a row. League Two top scorer Andy Cook has scored three of Bradford City’s last four away league goals, including both in their 2-0 win over Tranmere in their last away outing.

Gillingham really need to get back to winning ways. They have now lost four in a row but remain in the play-off places. They welcome Newport County to Priestfield who themselves have lost their last three.

  9. Can Magpies stretch unbeaten away run?published at 19:21 British Summer Time 22 October

Barrow v Notts County (19:45 BST)

    Stuart MaynardImage source, Rex Features

These two sides are both sitting in the play-off places with both in contrasting form.

Barrow go into tonight’s game having lost their last two league games with the latest a 1-0 defeat at Accrington. That was the Bluebirds’ third successive away defeat for the first time since December 2021 and the fourth in five league games.

After winning four of their first five home league games this season, Barrow lost their last game at Holker Street against bottom of the table Morecombe.

Barrow have failed to win any of their last six Football League games against Notts County (D3 L3), with both matches between the pair last season in League Two finishing 1-1.

Stephen Clemence's side sit in sixth but will need to get back on track this evening if they are to stay within the promotion chasers.

Fourth-placed Notts County overcame AFC Wimbledon on Saturday thanks to Matty Platt's goal being the only goal of the game to keep them in touch of the top three.

The Magpies are the only unbeaten side away from home in League Two this season, winning three and drawing three of six outings.

After losing each of their first three away Football League games against Barrow between 1959 and 1966, Notts County are since unbeaten across their last three such trips (W2 D1).
