    Bottom ten in League Two

It was a big day at the bottom of League Two yesterday with vital wins for Morecambe, Accrington Stanley and Swindon Town.

Carlisle United dropped to the foot of the table as they were beaten 3-2 at Crewe with the home side scoring twice in stoppage time.

It means Newport have been hauled to within six points of the relegation zone ahead of their meeting with AFC Wimbledon tonight.

    Top ten in League Two

It's a big night for AFC Wimbledon in League Two - a win at Newport will return them to the automatic promotion places, while a point would be enough to move them up to fifth.

Victories for Doncaster Rovers, Salford City and Crewe Alexandra yesterday allowed them to jump above Johnnie Jackson's side.

Gillingham and Bromley are out of the frame in terms of the top ten and bottom ten with both stuck in mid-table.

A win for Bromley tonight could take them as high as tenth while a Gillingham victory would only shift them up to twelfth, but above this evening's opponents.

Good evening and a belated Happy New Year from Gillingham, Bromley, Newport County and AFC Wimbledon.

They had the advantage of taking it easy on New Year's Day while watching their League Two brethren fight it out on a wet and windy Wednesday.

Walsall have maintained their 12-point lead at the top of the table with their win at Notts County yesterday, while Carlisle United now prop up the rest after a late, late collapse at Crewe Alexandra.

For tonight's sides it's about trying to keep pace at the top, escape mid-table, and stay clear of trouble.

Let's get on with it, shall we?
