  1. Bottom of the Championshippublished at 17:18 British Summer Time 12 April

Are Oxford United just about safe now?

Either way, it was a massive win for them at Sheffield Wednesday.

Stoke might also just about be out of relegation danger after their late win at Cardiff.

Plymouth picked up a vital three points against Sheffield United at lunchtime, but Luton remain in real trouble after losing at home to Blackburn.

  2. FULL-TIMEpublished at 17:16 British Summer Time 12 April

    Cardiff 0-1 Stoke

Stoke City win a crucial relegation six-pointer.

Will Fish's own goal five minutes from time after Ashley Phillips got on the end of a long throw into the box (where have we heard that before with the Potters?) is the difference.

That's now four games unbeaten for Mark Robins' side (W2 D2) who move five points clear of the drop, while Cardiff are without a win in four and remain 22nd, one point behind Derby.

  3. Postpublished at 17:14 British Summer Time 12 April

    Cardiff 0-1 Stoke

Just two minutes of the six added remaining for Cardiff to salvage a point. What a win this will be for Mark Robins and his side if they can see it out.

  4. Postpublished at 17:13 British Summer Time 12 April

    Cardiff 0-1 Stoke

Cardiff are trailing but it's Stoke who are looking the more likely to grab the next goal.

Sam Gallagher nods a ball into the path of Lewis Koumas who has a crack from the edge of the box but Bluebirds keeper Ethan Horvath is equal to it.

  5. INJURY TIMEpublished at 17:11 British Summer Time 12 April

    Cardiff 0-1 Stoke

Eric Junior Bocat has a go from about 30 yards for Stoke but it flies wide.

We're into six added minutes. Can the Potters see out a big win and inflict more misery on relegation rivals Cardiff?

  6. 'A fair result'published at 17:08 British Summer Time 12 April

    FT: Portsmouth 2-2 Derby

    Eric Steele
Former Derby and Man Utd goalkeeper on BBC Radio Derby

That was some afternoon, we'll have to settle for a point.

They'll be disappointed to concede from a free-kick that travelled 45 yards. We did have chances, we created chances, but there was just a lack of discipline at times. In the end I think a draw was a fair result.

The boys will be disappointed, but it will be about rest and recovery now.

  7. Top of the Championship - advantage Whites and Claretspublished at 17:06 British Summer Time 12 April

    Championship top 10

Was this the defining afternoon in the Championship promotion race?

Leeds' win over Preston coupled with Sheffield United's shock loss at Plymouth means the Whites and Burnley have a five-point cushion and far superior goal difference over the Blades with only four games to go.

Not over, but it will take a big turnaround from Sheffield United and a collapse from one of the others to stop it being Leeds and Burnley in the Premier League next season.

Sunderland lost at home to Swansea but they are now guaranteed to finish at least fourth and have a home second leg in the play-offs.

Bristol City picked up a useful point at QPR to stay fifth and edge closer to a top six finish while Coventry remain two points clear in sixth despite not playing.

West Brom beat Watford to get back to winning ways, while Millwall's narrow success over Middlesbrough means they are right in the thick of the play-off battle.

Blackburn finally won under Valerien Ismael, away at Luton, but their top-six hopes are probably over.

  8. goal

GOAL: Cardiff 0-1 Stokepublished at 17:04 British Summer Time 12 April

Will Fish own goal (85 mins)

A crucial goal for Stoke City and it's a throwback to their Premier League glory days!

Junior Tchamadeu launches a long throw into the box from the right, Rory Delap style.

Wouter Berger flicks it on and Ashley Phillips latches onto the bouncing ball to steer home via a big deflection off Will Fish.

It's gone down as a Fish own goal and the Potters are on course to move five points clear of the drop.

  9. CHANCEpublished at 17:02 British Summer Time 12 April

    Cardiff 0-0 Stoke

A massive chance for Cardiff to take the lead as Rubin Colwill sends in a cross for Isaak Davies, but he puts it over the bar at the far post.

  10. FULL-TIMEpublished at 17:01 British Summer Time 12 April

    Luton 0-1 Blackburn

A huge blow for Luton's survival hopes as Blackburn end their eight-game winless streak and Valerien Ismael secures his first victory as Rovers boss.

Yuki Ohashi put the visitors ahead before Blackburn had Kristi Montgomery sent off for a second yellow.

But Rovers held on for all three points. The Hatters had 18 shots but only managed three on target and couldn't find that all-important goal.

  11. 'An important point'published at 17:00 British Summer Time 12 April

    FT: Portsmouth 2-2 Derby

    Guy Whittingham
Former Portsmouth manager on BBC Radio Solent

Don't lose, that was the most important thing today.

What a game. Atkinson, blimey! He pops up with a goal, scores an own goal, then gets another goal, that's why we love the game so much.

  12. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:59 British Summer Time 12 April

    Portsmouth 2-2 Derby

Rob Atkinson celebrates scoringImage source, Getty Images

A pulsating encounter between two sides battling relegation comes to an end!

What was a tightly-contested match burst to life in five minutes of madness when Jerry Yates put Derby ahead, before Rob Atkinson equalised for Pompey and then restored the Rams' lead when he turned through his own net.

But Atkinson's day of action was not done there and he popped up with a stoppage time leveller for Portsmouth.

    Remarkable game.

  13. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:58 British Summer Time 12 April

    Luton 0-1 Blackburn

Was that the last chance for Luton?! Millenic Alli sends in a cross from the left and it cannons out off the crossbar!

  14. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:58 British Summer Time 12 April

    QPR 1-1 Bristol City

The points are shared between QPR and Bristol City after those first half goals.

The Hoops are a bit closer towards safety and the Robins now have a four-point cushion in the battle for the play-offs.

Probably a useful result for both.

  15. Postpublished at 16:58 British Summer Time 12 April

    Luton 0-1 Blackburn

Blackburn almost snatch a late goal to seal it as Sondre Tronstad plays in Tyrhys Dolan but his effort is well saved by Luton keeper Thomas Kaminski.

  16. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:58 British Summer Time 12 April

    West Brom 2-1 Watford

That was the final opportunity of the match and it's a big three points for the Baggies!

Goals either side of half-time from Karlan Grant and Mikey Johnston put the hosts into a comfortable two-goal advantage.

Watford captain Moussa Sissoko's 76th minute strike meant it was a nervy last 15 minutes for the home fans but Albion clung on to the win to move one place up to seventh, just two points below Coventry and the play-off positions.

  17. CLOSE!published at 16:56 British Summer Time 12 April

    West Brom 2-1 Watford

Oh, was that the chance for the visitors to snatch a point?!

The ball breaks to Edo Kayembe, who hit the post in the first-half from range, but his left-footed strike this time goes narrowly wide of the Albion goal and the home fans breath a sigh of relief.

  18. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:56 British Summer Time 12 April

    Millwall 1-0 Middlelesbrough

Millwall celebrate scoringImage source, Getty Images

Millwall win the battle of the play-off contenders thanks to Camiel Neghli's first goal for the club.

A third win in a row and an 11th 1-0 victory of their Championship campaign. They are right in the thick of the play-off race now.

A second defeat in a row for Middlesbrough as their soft centre rears its head again.

  19. Postpublished at 16:56 British Summer Time 12 April

    Cardiff 0-0 Stoke

Into the final 15 minutes and Stoke launch a counter-attack but Million Manhoef's attempted pass to send through Lewis Koumas is intercepted with a last-ditch challenge by Will Fish.

  20. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 12 April

    Sunderland 0-1 Swansea

Swansea celebrate scoringImage source, PA Media

Ben Cabango's goal secures all three points for Swansea and three wins in a row for the first time all season.

Sunderland were worried about losing momentum and that premonition has played out as they lose for only the second time at the Stadium of Light.
