  4. 'A vital point'published at 22:04 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December

    FT: Middlesbrough 0-0 Burnley

    Burnley

Burnley's Jaidon Anthony speaking to Sky Sports:

"We know they're a top side, really well coached. We knew that they'd have their moments in the game and we had to manage that and on another day, we can put away our chances. But I thought it was an even game, for sure."

On whether it's been a good week: "Yeah, in the long run, probably. We obviously came here and wanted to get another three points.

"But in the long run, I reckon this will be a vital point. They're a top side, like I said before."

On Josh Brownhill's missed chance: "I'm sure he was [frustrated]. When we made the chance, I thought it was the perfect person in front of goal. He's been unbelievable for us this season.

"I was waiting to see the net bulge but on another day, I'm sure he puts it away."

    Top of the Championship

Leeds United are today's big winners and end 2024 at the summit of the Championship table.

The Whites were the only side in the top eight to pick up a victory, beating Derby 1-0 away from home.

Sheffield United, Burnley, Middlesbrough and West Brom all drew, while Sunderland and Blackburn lost.

    FT: Middlesbrough 0-0 Burnley

    Michael Brown

I don't think either manager will be too disappointed. You look at the schedule over Christmas, both carrying injuries.

Both sides had a go. It wasn't a classic that we expected. But I think the [Josh Brownhill] opportunity Burnley had, you've got to score that.

  7. 'A draw is a fair result'published at 21:53 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December

    FT: Middlesbrough 0-0 Burnley

    Neil Maddison

If you look at the team Boro played against, they're a top side.

Both teams cancelled each other out, they were very wary of each other.

I think one point for each team is a pretty fair result.
