Norwich City's work may be done for the day but they won't be able to put their feet up yet.

The FA are investigating top-scorer Borja Sainz for an incident during their 2-1 defeat to Sunderland earlier this month.

Here's what boss Johannes Hoff Thorup had to say.

We have reached the half-time break in our seven 15:00 GMT kick-off matches, but there are two really exciting games on the way this evening, with big consequences at the top of the Championship.

Leeds United and Burnley both have chances to end the day as league leaders.

    • Derby County v Leeds United (17:45 GMT)
    • Middlesbrough v Burnley (20:00 GMT)

    Stoke 0-0 Sunderland

Stoke's Junior Tchamadeu holds off Sunderland's Jobe BellinghamImage source, PA Media

No goals so far in this one between managerless Stoke and play-off chasing Sunderland.

The away side have had plenty of chances but not found a way past Potters keeper Viktor Johnasson so far.

  4. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Swansea 1-1 Luton

Luton had the perfect start when Carlton Morris capitalised on a misplaced clearance from Swansea keeper Lawrence Vigouroux to score his seventh goal of the season.

But since then the Hatters have not had a shot on target and Swansea were the side who were creating all the chances with Eom Ji-Sung coming the closest hitting the post.

They got their well deserved equaliser through Goncalo Franco to score his second goal in two games.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Watford 1-2 Cardiff

Well, well, well. Is Watford's unbeaten home record under threat?

The Hornets haven't lost at Vicarage Road for 15 games, with their last defeat on home soil coming in March.

But they are 2-1 down to Cardiff thanks to Callum Robinson's double, either side of Giorgi Chakvetadze's leveller.

Could the Bluebirds be on course for a first away win of the season? They're out of the bottom three as things stand.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Coventry 0-0 Millwall

Coventry's Jack Rudoni tries to find some space against MillwallImage source, PA Media

No goals, and no great heights reached in this one so far.

Frank Lampard will no doubt demand more of a cutting edge of his Coventry City side as they look to translate their dominance of the ball into actual chances.

Alex Neil, the former Norwich, Preston, Sunderland and Stoke boss, is in the stands watching the Millwall side that he is poised to take control of. He will also have plenty to ponder...

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Bristol City 3-0 Portsmouth

Rob Dickie scores Bristol City's third goal against PortsmouthImage source, Getty Images

A rampant Bristol City side have scored three first-half goals, including two in three minutes, to push Portsmouth into the Championship's relegation zone.

Anis Mehmeti has finished brilliantly for his two goals, with defender Rob Dickie tapping in a third.

The scoreline is now the same as the reverse fixture earlier this month, only Portsmouth won 3-0 on that occasion.

    Blackburn 0-0 Hull

A little topsy-turvy so far at Ewood Park with Blackburn having the slightly more dangerous chances but neither side able to break the deadlock at half-time.

  9. 'Brilliant from Chris Willock'published at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Watford 1-2 Cardiff

    Charlie Slater
BBC Final Score at Vicarage Road

Cardiff back in front. Brilliant play from Chris Willock in the middle of midfield. He shrugs off one or two challenges before finding Cian Ashford on the right side of the penalty area.

Could have shot himself but did the unselfish thing, the right thing and squared it to Callum Robinson to tap home.

    HT: Oxford 1-0 Plymouth

    Guy Branston
    Former Plymouth defender

We've got to reset and go again in the second half.

We have to have a go at this team as this is a frail team as well.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Oxford 1-0 Plymouth

Ciaron Brown's second in two games has Gary Rowett's men a goal to the good.

Big 15 minutes coming up for Plymouth boss Wayne Rooney as he looks to get his bottom-of-the-table side going in this one.

More bad reading for Plymouth fans.

They've become the first Championship team since Rotherham in 2016-17 to concede 50 goals in their first 23 games of a second tier season.

    Rotherham finished bottom that season...

    Oxford 1-0 Plymouth

    Peter Rhoades-Brown
Former Oxford and Chelsea winger on BBC Radio Oxford

Oxford will just need to see this out now to make it a 1-0 lead at half-time.

  14. Franco makes his markpublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Swansea 1-1 Luton

    Gareth Vincent
BBC Sport Wales at the Swansea.com Stadium

    Swansea's equaliser had been coming.

Goncalo Franco had not scored for Swansea before Thursday's win over QPR, but he now has two in two.

Though he has not scored until this week, the all-action midfielder has been influential in Luke Williams' team all season.

  15. Postpublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Stoke 0-0 Sunderland

Viktor Johansson is being kept very busy in the Stoke goal.

This time the Swede makes a fine save to keep Trai Hume out.

The promotion-chasing Black Cats are really pushing now.

  16. Postpublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Blackburn 0-0 Hull

    A chance for Hull!

Mason Burstow's free kick rebounds off the Blackburn wall but he runs onto the ball and slams a shot at goal from distance.

It's got too much on it though and it blasts high and wide of the target.

    Callum Robinson (42 mins)

What a game! Cardiff are back in front and it's Callum Robinson again!

It's a great move by the Bluebirds as Chris Willock plays in Cian Ashford down the right.

Ashford then squares for Robinson to tap into the empty net for his second goal of the game and eighth of the season in the Championship.

There's a certain amount of feistiness in the game.

The Stoke fans are clearly not happy with the referee, three of their players have been booked.

    Goncalo Franco (38 mins)

All that Swansea pressure has paid off.

It's two in two games for Goncalo Franco who fires home from close range after Ronald is denied by very good save from Thomas Kaminski.

  20. CLOSE!published at 15:39 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Blackburn 0-0 Hull

The Hull defenders are beginning to leak mistakes and Blackburn are capitalising.

A loose pass finds Tyrhys Dolan, who sets the ball off to Makhtar Gueye. He takes the ball on his left foot and strikes but it drags inches to the right.

    Inches.
