    Oxford 1-0 Plymouth

About a quarter of the way through this one and the visitors are yet to have a shot of any sort.

Pilgrims boss Wayne Rooney will not be standing or sitting (I can't see him presently) comfortably.

His men are three points adrift of safety as it stands.

    Watford 0-1 Cardiff

Cardiff are out of the bottom three and one point above the drop zone as things stand, with Portsmouth 1-0 down at Bristol City.

How Omer Riza will be hoping it stays this way.

Oxford have not stopped creating chances since they scored.

Plymouth have to start building attacks. It's only 1-0, but we need to start slowing the momentum down.

    Coventry 0-0 Millwall

After some neat work from Victor Torp and a cut-back from Jake Bidwell, Ben Sheaf manages to fire off Coventry's first effort on goal.

The effort draws applause, but it's straight at Lukas Jensen in Millwall's goal.

    Bristol City 1-0 Portsmouth

Anis Mehmeti's goal for Bristol City is his seventh so far this season in 24 Championship games.

That compares to four goals in 38 games last season.

The home side nearly have a second goal, too, as Nakhi Wells sends a powerful strike towards the hands of Portsmouth keeper Nicholas Schmid.

    Blackburn 0-0 Hull

Hull seem to have weathered the early storm from the home side but everything has settled into a stalemate in these last few minutes with the goal mouth unthreatened.

Can somebody get things going again?

    Swansea 0-1 Luton

Swansea press for an equaliser as Matt Grimes sends a ball into the box which is palmed down by Thomas Kaminski. It falls to Eom Ji-Sung who looks to tap home from close range but his effort comes off the post.

    Coventry 0-0 Millwall

Coventry have strung together some lovely passes at times today, but they are yet to test Millwall goalkeeper Lukas Jensen.

The Lions, however, have been a bit more direct and cutting so far.

Femi Azeez meets a long ball from Romain Esse and then tests Oliver Dovin with a low effort.

It's understood that Alex Neil is in the stands watching Millwall today, and I'd say there s plenty for him to like so far.

    Watford 0-1 Cardiff

Watford get their first shot of the game away after 17 minutes. Rocco Vata with the effort from just outside the box but it goes over.

Cardiff have also had just the one attempt so far - Callum Robinson's strike within a minute to put them one up.

And there we have it, the U's take the lead with a great header by Ciaron Brown.

"You're getting sacked in the morning" rings around the Kassam Stadium, directed by the Oxford fans at Wayne Rooney.

The Plymouth boss stands still in his technical area with his hands buried deep into his coat pocket.

Anthony Patterson makes a decent save to deny Tom Cannon as the home side look for the opener.

    This one is opening up.

It's just what Oxford would want to build on a really unsettled Plymouth side who are fragile at best.

Having shot wide with what had been Bristol City's best chance of the match so far, Anis Mehmeti keeps his composure to slot the ball neatly into the net.

Max Bird's through ball provided the assist.

    Ciaron Brown (14 mins)

The home side take an early lead!

That's a 50th league goal conceded this season by bottom-of-the table Plymouth.

Goals in back-to-back games for Ciaron Brown now as he does really well to head home from Tyler Goodrham's cross.

    Bristol City 0-0 Portsmouth

Bristol City have had more possession early on, without doing a whole lot with it.

Midfielder Anis Mehmeti shoots wide from the edge of the area after good build-up play by Ross McCrorie for the hosts.

That follows Sammy Silvera having a strike blocked at the other end for Portsmouth.

A highly contested challenge just deflected off the pitch on this near sideline and smashed straight into Wayne Rooney who is on the edge of his technical area.

All of the Oxford fans enjoyed that, the loudest cheer inside the Kassam so far!

A win would be massive for Blackburn today to open up a gap on those below them and with a game in hand to come too. It would also nicely set up two blockbuster games against Leeds and Burnley over the next week. 2025 is the year of Blackburn Rovers, you can feel it in the air.

    Watford 0-1 Cardiff

Cardiff pushing for a second at Vicarage Road.

Chris Willock gets in behind on the left again, which is where the first goal came from.

He puts a dangerous ball into the box, but Callum O'Dowda's attempt to divert it towards goal is blocked.

    Stoke 0-0 Sunderland

Not too much doing in the opening stages in this one.

The Black Cats would close to within a point of second-placed Leeds with a win today.

Managerless Stoke are looking over their shoulders at the wrong end of the table.

The travelling Plymouth fans opposite me are in good voice already.

I won't say exactly what they were singing but after 30 seconds they were chanting about how rubbish Oxford must be to not be beating them already.

I'll let you fill in the blanks!

Nothing of note after eight minutes in this game, neither side have managed to create a chance yet of note.
