Adam Scott eyes up the 18th. One final hole and it could be his.

He drives just over the bunker.

I’m heading back to the 17th. It’s all about Bob again.

  2. Aberg drops backpublished at 19:28 British Summer Time 14 July

    Aberg -14 (16)

Ludvig Aberg duffs his chip with his third shot and can't get up-and-down to save par.

Bogey for the overnight leader, who needs a miracle now.

    Over to you, Robert...

  3. Postpublished at 19:27 British Summer Time 14 July

    Im -14 (69), Theegala -14 (69)

Sungjae Im rolls in a birdie putt at the last to finish the tournament at 14 under.

And Sahith Theegala follows him in. A solid week's work from these two.

  4. Postpublished at 19:25 British Summer Time 14 July

    MacIntyre -15 (15)

Remember the shot Bob MacIntyre hit on 18 last year?

I think the one he's just played is at least as good. When he needed to deliver, he stood up big time.

  5. Shot of the day?published at 19:22 British Summer Time 14 July

    MacIntyre -15, Aberg -15 (15)

Having had that wee bit of good fortune, Bob MacIntyre plays a simply magnificent shot from the rough that rolls out to around six feet.

He has that for eagle - it would move him level with Adam Scott at the top...

  6. Postpublished at 19:20 British Summer Time 14 July

    Scott -17, Morikawa -14 (16)

    Andrew Petrie
BBC Sport Scotland at The Renaissance Club

Adam Scott reaches the 17th and his iron shot lands onto the crest of a hill on the right-hand side of the green.

It’s hugely undulating this green. I can’t see any flat lies.

  7. Postpublished at 19:18 British Summer Time 14 July

    Aberg -15, MacIntyre -15 (15)

Bob MacIntyre is in seriously thick rough down the right at 16, but gets a huge slice of good luck.

We hear his ball is lying on or next to a sprinkler head, and he gets a free drop to a far more favourable lie.

Aberg is in the first cut next to the fairway.

  8. Scott stretches lead to twopublished at 19:13 British Summer Time 14 July

    Scott -17, Morikawa -14 ((16)

Adam Scott's eagle attempt from off the green comes up an inch or two short, and he knocks it in for birdie to take firm control of the tournament.

Collin Morikawa can't get his birdie putt to drop and you sense he is out of the running.

  9. Postpublished at 19:10 British Summer Time 14 July

    Aberg -15, MacIntyre -15 (15)

A nerveless par save from MacIntyre, who rolls it in from five feet.

Aberg's birdie chance slips by, but he's also in for par with the par five to come.

  10. Postpublished at 19:07 British Summer Time 14 July

    Andrew Petrie

More applause emanating down from the 15th to the 16th. As Morikawa assesses his options, Scott glances at the gathering crowd.

Some absolutely glorious houses in the background. How much do they go for?

    Adam Scott
  11. Postpublished at 19:06 British Summer Time 14 July

    Scott -16, Morikawa -14 (15)

Collin Morikawa and Adam Scott are both in the rough down the right at the par-five 16th.

Morikawa's second comes up short of the green, while Scott is pin high, but off the green to the right.

  12. McIlroy finishes at 14 underpublished at 19:01 British Summer Time 14 July

    McIlroy -14 (68)

McIlroy does get up-and-down from just in front of those stairs I mentioned a while back, and the defending champion signs for a card of 68.

It isn't enough to defend his title, but the Northern Irishman will be pleased with his week's work heading over to Troon.

    Scott -16 (15)

A bogey for Scott at 15, and the tournament is wide open once more...

Do you fancy the Australian to get his first win in four years? Hit those thumbs.

  14. Postpublished at 18:55 British Summer Time 14 July

    Scott -17, Morikawa -14 (14)

    Andrew Petrie
BBC Sport Scotland at The Renaissance Club

We can hear bagpipes in the distance on the 15th, as well as cheers from the 14th green after MacIntyre's birdie.

How will that affect the new leader, Adam Scott?

He’s in the rough on the right, but he’s got a nice angle onto the green for his chip. He’s not got enough on it though and leaves it well short.

Collin Morikawa flights a brilliant chip that bites and curls just behind the hole.

  15. Bob birdie 🚨published at 18:53 British Summer Time 14 July

    Aberg -15, MacIntyre -15 (14)

Bob MacIntyre has had several birdie chances come and go, but now he drains one from miles away! 41ft to be precise.

It moves him right back into contention, and Adam Scott is in a spot of bother a hole in front...

  16. Postpublished at 18:52 British Summer Time 14 July

    McIlroy -14 (17)

Rory McIlroy has had a strange old day out on the links, and he's up against some concrete steps down the last.

He'll do well to save par from there...

  17. Postpublished at 18:46 British Summer Time 14 July

    Aberg -15, MacIntyre -14 (13)

Yet another Bob MacIntyre birdie putt shaves the hole.

His dad Dougie watches on, who of course helped Bob to his win at the Canadian Open earlier this season.

Aberg's putt stays out too and he drops back. It's been a tough old day for the young Swede.

    Scott -17 (14)

Adam Scott taps in from close range and he moves to the top of the leaderboard.

  19. Postpublished at 18:41 British Summer Time 14 July

    Aberg -16, MacIntyre -14 (12)

Ludvig Aberg's effort from the back of the green rolls well past the hole, and he has work to do for his par.

  20. Postpublished at 18:40 British Summer Time 14 July

    Aberg -16, MacIntyre -14 (12)

    Andrew Petrie
BBC Sport Scotland at The Renaissance Club

MacIntyre in the middle of the fairway, Aberg off to the left. A welcoming, flat 13th green awaits them - but there’s a real drop off and the pin is at the back.

Attaboy Bob. He smacks the bank on the right and it rolls down, behind the pin. 12 feet away and another birdie chance.

Aberg does well to get it out of the thick stuff, but it’s off the back of the green and lying in a horrible divot.
