  1. Scott's near misspublished at 23:02 British Summer Time 14 June

    Hovland -1, Scott E (11)

Adam Scott really fancies a birdie on 11 after hitting his approach to 11 feet, but it just slides by the hole and the Australian puts his hand over his mouth in disbelief as he thought he'd nailed that one.

Scott's going along quite nicely but nothing much is dropping his way on the greens - yet.

  2. Griffin back to one overpublished at 22:58 British Summer Time 14 June

    Perez +4, B Griffin +1 (11)

A 15-footer for birdie on the 11th brings in-form Ben Griffin back to one over par for the championship.

  3. Bradley's birdie blitzpublished at 22:55 British Summer Time 14 June

    Bradley +4 (17)

Keegan Bradley made three bogeys in five holes to start his back nine, but with his round slipping away he found a great response with birdies on 16 and 17 to get back to four over.

He's one over for the day so another birdie on the last would do nicely.

  4. Double bogey for Hattonpublished at 22:53 British Summer Time 14 June

    Hatton +2 (15)

Problems for Tyrrell Hatton, whose second shot to the 15th green goes right.

The Englishman can't limit the damage - a double-bogey six sends him plummeting back to two over and undoes some of the work he produced earlier on the back nine that got him into contention.

  5. Viktor's finding his formpublished at 22:52 British Summer Time 14 June

    Hovland -1, Scott E (10)

Back-to-back birdies for Viktor Hovland now as he kicks off his back nine by rolling in an 18 footer for a three on the 10th to get back under par for the tournament.

He's now in a tie for third and heading back in the right direction.

  6. Postpublished at 22:52 British Summer Time 14 June

    Koepka +5, SW Kim +6 (13)

Surely this birdie putt at 13 is going in for Brooks?

    Nope, it's shaved the edge.

Koepka puts his hands on his knees. One of those days.

  7. Final group reaches the turnpublished at 22:49 British Summer Time 14 June

    Burns -3, Spaun -3 (9)

JJ Spaun is one under for his first nine holes, while Sam Burns has reached the halfway point in level par.

They remain in a share of first place at the 125th US Open.

  8. Rahm shoots three overpublished at 22:48 British Summer Time 14 June

    Rahm +7 (73)

Jon Rahm's hopes of a third major championship may well be over.

A double-bogey six on the 15th and a bogey on the last mean he ends the day seven over, 10 shots off the lead.

  9. Postpublished at 22:44 British Summer Time 14 June

    Koepka +5, SW Kim +6 (12)

Copy and paste 22:27 BST post for Brooks Koepka.

    Par at the 12th.

  10. Can Scheffler surge on Sunday?published at 22:41 British Summer Time 14 June

    Scheffler +4 (70)

I still can't believe Scottie Scheffler missed a two-foot putt today, but after plenty of ups and downs he ends up right back where he started after a level-par round of 70 sees him on four over.

He played pretty nicely overall other than on the greens, but at seven shots back is he too far behind to challenge tomorrow?

Let your thumbs tell us whether you think he can make a challenge tomorrow or if he's too far back?

  11. Birdie for Hovlandpublished at 22:35 British Summer Time 14 June

    Hovland E, Scott E (9)

Viktor Hovland takes advantage of that aggressive approach by knocking in the birdie putt on nine to end the first half of his round in positive fashion.

It was a dodgy start but he's been pretty good since then, but just not taken advantage of the chances he's been giving himself on the greens.

Still, he's back to level par, one over for the round, and alongside playing partner Adam Scott in a tie for fourth.

  12. Postpublished at 22:32 British Summer Time 14 June

    Burns -3, Spaun -3 (8)

JJ Spaun is the top of the field for strokes gained putting this week, so it's no surprise to see him competing towards the top of the leaderboard.

A tremendous lag putt from long distance on the eighth helps to secure a par which keeps him level with Sam Burns, who makes a three of his own.

  13. 'I've earned the right to do whatever I want'published at 22:29 British Summer Time 14 June

    McIlroy +10 (74)

Watch: Frustrated McIlroy has 'earned the right to do whatever I want'

Here's that Rory McIlroy interview in full. It's the first time he's spoken to the media after a round at a major championship since winning the Masters at Augusta National.

  14. Postpublished at 22:29 British Summer Time 14 June

    Henley +2, Lawrence +1 (10)

A par to start the back nine for Thriston Lawrence, who remains in a tie for sixth despite some up-and-down moments - but then that's the US Open for you.

  15. Pin shot!published at 22:28 British Summer Time 14 June

    Hovland +1, Scott E (8)

Viktor Hovland is seemingly sick of hitting the ball relatively close and missing the putt so he's trying to hole out from the fairway now!

His approach to the ninth green is stunning and right at the hole, with the ball taking one bounce and hitting the flagstick before settling about seven feet away.

  16. 'I don't do things the normal way' - MacIntyrepublished at 22:28 British Summer Time 14 June

    MacIntyre +3 (69)

Scotland's Robert MacIntyre has been speaking to Sky Sports after his first ever sub-par round at a US Open:

"Overall it was a great day. It's still tough but you will always take shooting one under around here."

On his plan for the final round: "The same as I've been doing - to try to hit fairways. I don't do things the normal way. I always find different routes.

"Tomorrow I'll trust what I have been doing. Fairways are good and go from there."

  17. Postpublished at 22:27 British Summer Time 14 June

    Koepka +5, SW Kim +5 (11)

Another par save for Brooks Koepka at the 11th after ending up in a greenside bunker.

He'll stay at five over par and not really going anywhere.

  18. Griffin out in 37published at 22:25 British Summer Time 14 June

    Perez +4, B Griffin +2 (9)

Ben Griffin misses a short par putt on the ninth and reaches the turn in two over par.

Playing partner Victor Perez has three bogeys and no birdies on his card for the front nine.

  19. Postpublished at 22:22 British Summer Time 14 June

    Burns -3, Spaun -3 (7)

Sam Burns finds trouble off the seventh tee and has to pitch out sideways, but he gets up and down in two from 120 yards to save par.

A much more routine four for JJ Spaun.

  20. Another birdie for Hattonpublished at 22:20 British Summer Time 14 June

    Hatton E (13)

Make that three birdies in four holes for Tyrrell Hatton!

He puts his tee shot to the par three 13th within three feet, leaving a tap-in for a two.

    Terrific stuff from Tyrrell.
