  1. MacIntyre misses outpublished at 23:37 British Summer Time 11 April

    MacIntyre +6 (75)

Bob MacIntyre finished with three consecutive bogeys.

The Scot will not be around for the weekend but at least he's been consistent, shooting 75 in both rounds.

  2. Bogey finish for Morikawapublished at 23:34 British Summer Time 11 April

    Morikawa -3 (69)

Just as he did yesterday, Collin Morikawa bogeys the 18th and that slips him back to three under and just puts a sour note on what otherwise was a fine round that had dragged the American into contention.

Five shots back is not too bad though, and he still has a decent chance if he can make a fast start tomorrow.

  3. Hatton waywardpublished at 23:34 British Summer Time 11 April

    Hatton -6, Kim +1, Spieth +2 (15)

Tyrrell Hatton's group has been made to wait a few minutes on the 16th tee while Scottie Scheffler and his clan tidied up on the green.

Tom Kim fires his tee shot to the right edge of the green and he'll have a dozen feet to get back to level par.

"Oh my god I got a gust" exclaims Jordan Spieth as his effort comes up short and settles on the front of the green - a huge slope to putt up and he could do with no worse than par given he's right on the cut mark.

What about Hatton? Well, if it was Sunday, he'd probably be delighted but front left is no good when the hole is cut back right.

  4. Scheffler drops a shotpublished at 23:27 British Summer Time 11 April

    Scheffler -5, Thomas E (16)

Scottie Scheffler pushes a 47-foot putt left and eight feet past on the 16th.

Not exactly the return journey you want for par and he can't tickle it in so will drop back to five under. Not sure I can remember his three putting today prior to that.

JT's effort rolls up to four feet and he stays as he is.

  5. Birdie for Hattonpublished at 23:24 British Summer Time 11 April

    Hatton -7 (15)

No messing from Tyrrell Hatton the 15th. He walks up to his ball, marks it, replaces it in an instant and knocks in the one-footer.

Will he pick up one more birdie in the closing three holes to get into the last group with Justin Rose in Saturday's third round? Let's find out...

  6. Postpublished at 23:21 British Summer Time 11 April

    Scheffler -6, Thomas E (15)

The sweaters are back on as Scottie and JT get ready to tackle the par-three 16th, although it's apparently still 19°C, so hardly too chilly.

Neither land particularly near the flag, with Scheffler's ball drifting well left and Thomas just about landing on the front edge.

  7. Superb from Hattonpublished at 23:20 British Summer Time 11 April

    Hatton -6 (14)

Tyrrell Hatton plays sensibly down the 15th, nudging his second shot down the fairway to leave himself 110 yards or so for his third.

And that is the shot of the day on this hole. A perfectly executed wedge that grabs the green and spins down to almost kick-in range for a birdie four.

  8. Postpublished at 23:15 British Summer Time 11 April

    Scheffler -6, Thomas E (15)

Scottie Scheffler has given that quite enough and his birdie attempt swings left to a foot or two from the hole.

Just a par but he has bounced back well to back-to-back bogeys on the 10th and 11th.

  9. Late move by Morikawapublished at 23:15 British Summer Time 11 April

    Morikawa -4, Niemann +1, Lee -2 (17)

Collin Morikawa does get that birdie at 17 we talked about and that takes him to four under and lurking dangerously just four shots behind Justin Rose.

The two-time major champion has all the right metrics this season to go well around Augusta, and he is just starting to crank into gear now and warming up for a weekend challenge.

  10. Postpublished at 23:13 British Summer Time 11 April

    Hatton -6 (14)

Here's Tyrrell Hatton on the par-five 15th tee, booming one down the left side. It's not the good side if you want to be green chasing in two. Although, at six under, maybe it's a good thing to force him to lay up short of the pond.

This is Tyrrell though. Anything could happen next.

  11. Day on the par trainpublished at 23:11 British Summer Time 11 April

    Day -5 (16)

Jason Day can only par the 15th after laying up, and then makes a three at 16 to make it eight straight pars for the Australian, which doesn't seem exciting but with three birdies and a clean bogey-free card that's a pretty good effort in these windy conditions.

  13. 'Pretty big mountain to climb'published at 23:09 British Summer Time 11 April

    Rahm +2 (71)

Set to make the cut right on the number, 2023 Masters champion Jon Rahm is hoping to make an early charge on Saturday:

"I have a pretty big mountain to climb to have a chance tomorrow or to have a chance come Sunday.

"It wouldn't be the first time somebody teeing off on Saturday morning posts a score, and if the weather gets a little more difficult in the afternoon has somewhat of a chance going into Sunday.

"What I mean a score, it's going to take something around 66 or lower to probably get close enough to attack on Sunday."

  14. Postpublished at 23:08 British Summer Time 11 April

    Scheffler -6, Thomas E (14)

Scottie Scheffler is prowling the 15th green.

If he can get up and down from the sand he'll be in great shape at seven under but he catches that a little heavy and his ball stops dead in its tracks 21 feet from the hole.

Meanwhile, JT clips his ball in just inside his compatriot and might get a read from that.

  15. Collin still just about in contentionpublished at 23:05 British Summer Time 11 April

    Morikawa -3, Niemann +1, Lee -2 (16)

A fifth birdie of the day for Collin Morikawa on 16 moves him to three under, which is only five shots back, and if he can somehow get another one from the last two holes he'll be in a great spot.

Joaquin Niemann had a double bogey on 15 though to drop to one over and suddenly he has to start looking over his shoulder at the cut line.

  16. Par for Hatton at 14published at 23:04 British Summer Time 11 April

    Spieth +2, Hatton -6, T Kim +1 (14)

Ah a misjudgement from Tyrrell Hatton on the 14th green and he'll have to be content with a par.

Not sure what Jordan Spieth's up to but another loose hole leaves him in danger of missing the cut. He's dropped to two over par.

    Danger zone.

  17. Postpublished at 23:04 British Summer Time 11 April

    Scheffler -6, Thomas E (14)

Scottie Scheffler has his three wood out as he waits on the 15th fairway. This is risky and he finds the right bunker.

It's not a given he'll get up and down from there mind to grab another birdie.

JT went wildly left off the tee and punches his ball back into play. A tricky shot over the pond incoming.

  18. Postpublished at 22:56 British Summer Time 11 April

    Spieth +1, Hatton -6, T Kim +1 (13)

Another cracking approach from Tyrrell wafts onto the 14th green.

He'll have 14 feet to get himself up to seven under.

  19. 'A wonderful setting' - Langerpublished at 22:55 British Summer Time 11 April

    Langer +3 (73)

Two-time Masters champion Bernhard Langer spoke to Sky Sports after what will most likely be his final round at Augusta.

After bogeying the 18th hole, he will probably miss the cut by a shot and there were emotional scenes at the green:

"It was weird! I didnt' know if I was going to miss the cut or play some more but when I handed in my scorecard it seems likely I will miss it.

"It was a wonderful setting. Fantastic after 41 years here at Augusta as a player. Ilook forward to many more as a non-competing past champion.

"It was lovely to see all my family there supporting me and the chairman Fred Ridley and many more friends from all over the world.

"It was really fun to play the past two days with standing ovations all over the golf course and the patrons seem to really appreciate what I've done the past four and a half decades.

"I was a global player and enjoyed that part for many, many years. There's so much to be thankful for, to glorify God for the gifts and talents he's given me to play for so long and to stay healthy for so much of it."

  20. Conners one to watchpublished at 22:53 British Summer Time 11 April

    Conners -6 (70)

Corey Conners gets back in the clubhouse with a two-under round of 70 to sit on six under heading into the week and just two shots off the lead.

The Canadian will go under the radar with the big guns like McIlroy, DeChambeau and Scheffler around, but he's got the long game to spring a surprise if he can make some putts.
