Might have to take him off my graph after all.

There's a look of horror on Bryson DeChambeau's face as he realises what he's done.

He's kept hooking left with his irons today and this is one too many.

    Swooping. Drawing. Diving.

    And into the water.

    Challenge surely ended.

However, for once at Augusta, Rory McIlroy's luck holds - and his ball stops dead, a few feet from finding the creek down the left side of the 11th.

    Bryson DeChambeau however....

  4. Postpublished at 22:06 British Summer Time 13 April

    McIlroy -14, DeChambeau -9 (10)

    What, Rory?!

Absolute fear as he takes aim at the green and then watches aghast as his ball rolls, and rolls, and rolls.

    There's water over there...

  5. Rose comes roaring onto the graphpublished at 22:05 British Summer Time 13 April

    Rose -10 (13)

What a performance from Justin Rose.

He's made it onto my momentum graph with five holes of his round to go.

  6. Bogey for Abergpublished at 22:04 British Summer Time 13 April

    Aberg -8, Day-7 (12)

Ouch, that could be fatal to Ludvig Aberg's chances as he drops a shot at the 12th after missing the green long and left and can't get himself out of jail this time.

  7. Postpublished at 22:02 British Summer Time 13 April

    McIlroy -14, DeChambeau -9 (10)

There are three standout trees down the right side of the 11th fairway and Rory McIlroy's ball is coming to rest just behind the first one of them.

We'll wait to see what his sightline to the green is like.

Looks like Bryson DeChambeau has gone longer and straighter so should have an easier second shot.

  8. Scheffler's costly bogeypublished at 21:59 British Summer Time 13 April

    Scheffler -6, Lowry E (12)

A bogey at the 12th looks to be the end of the slim chances of world number one Scottie Scheffler becoming just the fourth man to successfully defend his Masters title.

Instead, it looks like there's another slice of golfing history being made...

What a rock solid putt for Rory McIlroy.

When he's needed it today - bar that first hole - he has been stellar.

Off to Amen Corner and he's got a four-shot lead and five on his 2024 nemesis Bryson DeChambeau.

It's still far too early to call it though...

And not when the gap keeps widening!

    Redemption for McIlroy on 10!

    McIlroy -13, DeChambeau -9 (9)

It looks as though Bryson DeChambeau has not got the pace on these greens today.

Another fiddly attempt from distance rolls a couple of club lengths past the hole.

Not going to close the gap like that.

  13. Great savepublished at 21:55 British Summer Time 13 April

    Aberg -9, Day-7 (11)

I can't say how impressed I am with Ludvig Aberg, in general and here at the 11th when behind a tree and opting to lay it up, trust his wedge game and putting and roll in a brilliant par save.

  14. Rose moves into solo secondpublished at 21:53 British Summer Time 13 April

    Rose -10 (13)

How did that not go in?!

Justin Rose barely breathes on his left-to-right eagle putt on the 13th. It's judged beautifully but shaves the cup on the left and somehow stays above ground.

He won't be too disappointed though - it's yet another birdie and he's into second on his own!

The 2013 US Open winner is five under for the round. Better than anyone in the top 10.

  15. Postpublished at 21:51 British Summer Time 13 April

    McIlroy -13, DeChambeau -9 (9)

Did he drop that on purpose?

Was he annoyed with the shot?

Or did he just lose his grip?

There was a grimace on Rory McIlroy's face when he did that but it clearly didn't hamper him and he looks fine now.

Put that shot in his Masters annals.

  16. Postpublished at 21:50 British Summer Time 13 April

    McIlroy -13, DeChambeau -9 (9)

A relieved Bryson DeChambeau takes off his glove and considers where his second shot has landed, on the edge of the green, to the right.

As for Rory McIlroy? He's dropped his club in the act of firing in his approach there but it's not caused him any issues.

    Far from it.

Another pearl into the 10th green - and 15 feet for birdie.

  17. Biggest nine holes of McIlroy's lifepublished at 21:49 British Summer Time 13 April

    McIlroy -13, DeChambeau -9 (9)

    Matt Gault
    BBC Sport NI

No big deal, just the biggest nine holes of Rory McIlroy's life coming up.

He's officially never had a better chance of winning the Masters. In 2011, his four-shot overnight lead had been whittled down to just one by the time he reached the 10th.

From there, he collapsed in spectacular fashion, but he's twice the player he was 14 years ago. He's certainly made a better start to the second nine this evening compared to 2011 when he hooked his tee shot horribly off the 10th tee.

But even if he keeps hitting good shots, the next couple of hours are going to test him to the limit.

Found out - the hard way - this week that officially it's called "the second nine" at Augusta not the back nine.

    Put that in your anorak.
