    Noren -16, Saddier -16, Hatton -14 (10)

There's plenty of support out there for Tyrrell Hatton as he nails another approach from under 100 yards. This one, on the par-four 11th, sets up a birdie look from around five feet.

Adrien Saddier has already gone pin-seeking and will have a similar length putt for a second successive birdie.

Alex Noren, from deep rough, is suddenly the one faltering. His ball lands on the fringe though, which is classed as the fairway, so he gets to lift, clean and place his ball.

  2. Kim Si-woo seizes leadpublished at 14:06 BST

    Kim SW -15 (64)

Just as I post those words from Jon Rahm, a new clubhouse leader rises up.

Kim Si-woo has down an eagle putt at the 18th to sign for a round of 64, eight under for the day and at -15 for the tournament.

With the weather worsening, that's an intimidating target for those left on the course. He's not definitely not leaving the premises yet.

  3. 'A great round of golf'published at 14:04 BST

    Rahm -13 (66)

Clubhouse leader Jon Rahm, speaking after posting 13 under par: "For 17 holes, it was a much easier golf course today.

"There has been no wind, the ground was soft and the greens were fantastic. If you had the chance, you had to be aggressive. I got off to a flying start and it was nice to keep it going.

"It was unfortunate with the lipout on 12 and then playing 13 through 16 at one over par was probably what set me back slightly.

"But still I'm very happy. A great round of golf."

On Team Europe's Ryder Cup chances: "We have got to have faith. We're playing good enough and we're strong enough to face what we're going to face at Bethpage."

  4. It's rainingpublished at 14:04 BST

A few umbrellas starting to go up as the rain starts to fall at Wentworth.

A reminder that we're already well into this final round because the forecast was for just this kind of weather to roll in. There's not a great deal of wind to blow it away either.

  5. Saddier joins Noren in leadpublished at 14:02 BST

    Noren -16, Saddier -16, Hatton -14 (10)

Finally. Adrien Saddier rolls in a first birdie of the day, on the 10th and we have joint leaders because Alex Noren takes a chip and a putt from off the back of the green to register a par.

Tyrrell Hatton is also in for a par. A chip and a four-foot putt from the front edge.

  6. Aberg going nowherepublished at 13:58 BST

    Aberg -9 (12)

After two birdies and three bogeys in his opening six holes, Ludvig Aberg has had a quiet round and after six successive pars is stuck on nine under par.

Let's hope for a strong finish for the Swede to send him off to the Ryder Cup - the players will all be on the plane to New York tonight, in readiness for nine holes on Monday, 18 on Tuesday and then a night out in Manhattan. Sounds like a nice start to the week to me.

  7. Lee moves one shot backpublished at 13:58 BST

    Lee MW -15 (16)

    Lee Min-woo is cooking now!

He's just rolled in a 15-footer for birdie - and he's only one shot back now.

Big cheers around the 16th green.

I'm amazed they've made that public. Surely the US crowd are just going to take that and do more.

If I was Keegan Bradley, I'd be playing on that."

  9. Postpublished at 13:54 BST

    McIlroy -12 (65)

The Guardian's Ewan Murray has been talking to BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra about Rory McIlroy's post-round comments to the written press.

McIlroy revealed Team Europe's players have been wearing VR headsets to simulate the conditions they may encounter at the Ryder Cup, involving taking abuse from the crowd.

Luke Donald leaves nothing to chance.

  10. Postpublished at 13:50 BST

    Noren -16, Saddier -15, Hatton -14 (9)

Adrien Saddier is first up on the 184-yard par-three 10th and the Frenchman flies his ball straight over the flag and that's his shot of the day so far. He'll have a dozen feet for a birdie.

Alex Noren airmails the green. There's no shout of 'Fore' so his ball surprises those fans assembled just off the back edge fo the green.

And Tyrrell Hatton is contributing to the swear jar once again after watching his effort dive into the cabbage a yard short of the green.

  11. Postpublished at 13:48 BST

    Fichardt -13, Hall -11, Hovland -12 (10)

A sixth straight par for Viktor Hovland over at the 10th leaves him stuck at -12.

He's got eight holes to make a run at this.

Pars too for Darren Fichardt and Harry Hall.

  12. Lowry 'would have benefited'published at 13:46 BST

    Lowry -8 (71)

    Trish Johnson
Former Europe Solheim Cup player on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

We had a conversation about who of the European Ryder Cup players would benefit most from playing well here and Shane Lowry was right up there.

He's played pretty well all season but hasn't finished anything off.

And his final rounds have been poor all year.

  13. Postpublished at 13:45 BST

    Lowry -8 (71)

A final round of one-under 71 for Shane Lowry sees him finish at -8 for the tournament.

The 2022 champion has not really been in contention this week.

  14. Lee chips in for birdiepublished at 13:44 BST

    Lee MW -14 (15)

I was writing Lee Min-woo off not so long ago but he's just chipped in for birdie at the 15th.

Imagine if he hadn't made that bogey at the previous hole!

Refusing to go away - and the social media star puts his hand to his ear to imitate that he is calling "Doctor Chip-inski". Love it.

  15. Pars all roundpublished at 13:42 BST

    Noren -16, Saddier -15, Hatton -14 (9)

Faldo-esque by Adrien Saddier who two putts for par on the ninth - I'm not sure a full round of 18 pars will get the job done for the Frenchman though.

Tyrrell Hatton knocks in for his par. It's been an untidy front nine but he's right in the mix with nine to play.

Our leader will take a one-shot lead in that back nine after he too two-putts from distance.

  16. Rahm sets clubhouse targetpublished at 13:35 BST

    Rahm -13 (66)

It's perhaps not quite the score Jon Rahm had in mind when he was bulldozing around the turn.

The Spaniard can't convert a birdie putt from nine feet at the 18th and he finishes at 13 under.

It's enough to leapfrog Rory McIlroy as clubhouse leader - but he's clearly not happy about the shots he left out there.

  17. Postpublished at 13:35 BST

    Noren -16, Saddier -15, Hatton -14 (8)

It all seems to have slowed down a little out there around the turn. Our leading trio are teeing off down the ninth.

Tyrrell Hatton fires down the left side and his ball gets caught up in the purple heather that is dotted around and he can only punch his ball back into the fairway.

Alex Noren plays the percentages from the middle of the fairway, into the heart of the green. Anything short trundles back to you, anything fractionally long trickles down a slope away from the green.

Adrien Saddier follows Noren into the safe side of the green.

Hatton looks like he'll escape with a par after zinging an 87-yard wedge into three feet.

  18. Postpublished at 13:32 BST

    Fichardt -13, Hall -11, Hovland -12 (9)

Over the first two days Viktor Hovland was the best putter in the field.

Looks like he's packed a different flagstick this weekend as a presentable birdie chance passes him by at the ninth.

  19. Bogey for Leepublished at 13:30 BST

    Lee MW -13 (14)

We join Lee Min-woo at the 14th sizing up 15 feet for par.

And he' missed it. He falls back to 13 under.

There's just a little bit of a check on some of these chargers.

  20. Postpublished at 13:25 BST

    Rahm -13 (17)

Now then, following Justin Rose down the 18th is Jon Rahm who is going to take aim here from the middle of the fairway.

Fires it in but it's ever-so slightly overcooked and drops into the rough at the back of the green. That'll be a tricky one for him to navigate.
