Fast Friday is what today has been dubbed and Great Britain has some of the best in action at the athletics stadium tonight.

Georgie Hermitage goes in the T37 100m final (2136 BST) with the trio of world champion Sophie Hahn, dual star Kadeena Cox and Olivia Breen in the T38 100m (21:42 BST).

Then fresh from her world record in this morning's heats, Libby Clegg - if her disqualification is overturned - goes in the T11 100m final and at 23:58 it's the big one as Jonnie Peacock bids to retain his T44 100m crown.

Blink and you might miss it.

We told you earlier that Britain's Libby Clegg had been disqualified after setting a word record time in her T11 100m final.

The reason given is that her guide, Chris Clarke, is sad to have pulled her along mid-race - British Athletics will appeal against the decision.

London 2012 double gold medallist Hannah Cockroft is through to Saturday's T34 100m final without turning a wheel.

The heats, which were set to take place tonight, have been scrapped and Cockroft and her fellow Britons Kare Adenegan and Carly Tait are straight into the final at 22:06 BST on Saturday.

There could be over £600m worth of players on the pitch at Old Trafford on Saturday.

After winning Kazakhstan's first-ever Paralympic gold medal last night 50-year-old swimmer Zulfiya Gabidullina says she wants more and is already planning to go to Tokyo 2020.

It was all looking magnificent for Libby Clegg, but things have taken a disheartening turn.

The Briton set a world record on her way to reaching the T11 100m final earlier, but it seems she has been disqualified, apparently because her guide was adjudged to have crossed the finish line before her.

You can expect ParalympicsGB to appeal against the decision - from the replays it's not clear cut.

There's been mixed fortunes for ParalympicsGB over at the Tennis Centre. 

Jamie Burdekin is out of the men's quad singles event after losing 6-2 2-6 6-1 to Brazil's Ymanitu Silva in the first round. 

But Marc McCarroll has progressed in the men's open singles beating Italy's Fabian Mazzei in straight sets 7-5 6-3. 

Nine-year-old Robbie Jones was given a 5% chance of survival when he contracted a deadly strain of meningitis as a baby.

On Saturday he will join 6,000 children at the Junior and Mini Great North Run with his big sister Alice.

Sunderland have a clean bill of health following the international break with no fresh injury worries ahead of Monday's visit of Everton.

The game will come too soon for Jan Kirchhoff and Victor Anichebe, who are expected to be on the bench, and manager David Moyes says it will probably be too early for Didier Ndong too.

Meanwhile, Lamine Kone is to sit down with Moyes next week with a view to signing a new deal.  

Winning gold medals is nothing new for Jason Smyth but it's still a memorable moment.

He embarked on his lap of honour, savouring applause from the Brazilian crowd and the small smattering of Irish supporters at the athletics stadium.

Draped in the Irish flag, he tells BBC Radio 5 Live's Jeanette Kwayke that he has put in a lot of hard work but was disappointed to only have one event to race in in Rio.
