All set for Pep Guardiola's first pre-Manchester derby news conference. A great sense of anticipation in a packed room full of multinational press and broadcast media. Will he attack Mourinho, retaliate to Ibrahimovic? More likely to play it safe but either way it should be fascinating.

Watford head coach Walter Mazzarri is waiting on his first Premier League win since joining the Hornets in the summer. He’s hoping that might come away to West Ham on Saturday.

“We are all waiting of course. We need it. But it’s difficult to predict when it will come. I’m looking at how the team perform. We’re happy. I think we should have at least one more point.”

Chelsea re-signed Brazil defender David Luiz from Paris St-Germain for a fee of around £34m on transfer deadline day.

Antonio Conte says he signed Luiz as a centre-back.

"We needed a centre-back. In this squad we have Gary Cahill and John Terry and sometimes we can adapt Branislav Ivanovic but we need a centre-back, for this reason we got him. Sometimes he plays as a midfielder but that is not the idea for us."

Watford head coach Walter Mazzarri wants his players to be just like him on the pitch. The Hornets are away to West Ham on Saturday and may give first starts to the likes of Daryl Janmaat, Roberto Pereyra, Adrian Mariappa and Kenedy.

Mazzarri is a fan of big characters in his team: “I want the players to have my energy, my personality, my hunger of winning. In football today you need to have that energy; to be hungry for three points. So all the players who go on the pitch I want them to be ready for that and now in this group we have many players who have that personality.”
