    #bbcnfl

So the Buffalo Bills and the New England Patriots are leading their divisional match-ups. Are they the leading contenders for the AFC East title this season?

Hit thumbs up if you think the Bills have the better chance, thumbs down for the Pats.

  2. Watt out injuredpublished at 19:43 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

Las Vegas Raiders 9-7 Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh handed out a $112m contract to T.J. Watt just before the start of the season, but the defensive superstar doesn't look like he'll be playing much of a part in the rest of this game....

  3. That's ugly!published at 19:41 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

    Buffalo Bills 14-0 Miami Dolphins

It's all going to plan for Miami so far, if the plan is to lose the game as heavily as possible that is.

This time rookie Jaylen Waddle drops the punt and hands the ball right back to Buffalo, who should be able to kick a field goal here at least.

  4. touchdown

Rams Touchdownpublished at 19:39 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

Los Angeles Rams 17-6 Indianapolis Colts

These Los Angeles Rams are going to be a problem for the NFL this season. They've got Matt Stafford to make all the throws, a solid defence and a power running game that allowed Darrell Henderson to run in their second TD of the game.

The Rams look the real deal so far. Are they Super Bowl contenders?

Gives us a thumbs up or down below....

  6. touchdown

49ers Touchdownpublished at 19:30 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

San Francisco 49ers 7-3 Philadelphia Eagles

Now we're talking. Jimmy Garoppolo finally makes one stick, hitting Deebo Samuel on the right before the receiver is stopped on Philly's 11-yard line.

That's a 40-yard strike to put the 49ers in the red zone and, from the next play, rookie Jauan Jennings is left wide open to score a touchdown with his very first NFL catch.

That wraps up a 97-yard drive led by Garoppolo. Never in doubt, right?!?

Panthers Touchdownpublished at 19:28 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

New Orleans Saints 0-17 Carolina Panthers

It's all going wrong for New Orleans, who smacked the Packers last week but are being handed a lesson this week. DJ Moore collects a short pass from Sam Darnold to increase Carolina's lead.

And there's no chance of the Saints getting on the board before half-time as Jameis Winston then throws an interception in the red zone!

The Saints are missing seven offensive coaches due to a Covid outbreak. That lack of leadership could be an issue.

  9. field goal

Raiders field goalpublished at 19:24 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

Las Vegas Raiders 9-7 Pittsburgh Steelers

Daniel Carlson is good from 41 yards and Las Vegas go back in front right on the stroke of half-time in what is going to be a real arm wrestle of a game in Pittsburgh.

  10. Get Involved - #bbcnflpublished at 19:24 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

San Francisco 49ers 0-3 Philadelphia Eagles

Ted Scott: Stalemate at Philadelphia at the moment, both defences holding up, offences needs to step up.

Is it just a matter of time till the 49ers bring rookie quarterback Trey Lance in for Jimmy Garoppolo? Hit thumbs up for Lance, thumbs down for Garoppolo.

  11. field goal

Patriots field goalpublished at 19:23 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

New England Patriots 13-3 New York Jets

Nick Folk has to make a 49-yarder, which he does, to extend the Patriots' advantage in New York. The Pats had troubles finishing off drives last week so it's no surprise again to see them turning to Folk's right boot.

  12. 49ers frustrating Eagles in Phillypublished at 19:20 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

San Francisco 49ers 0-3 Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles have made 204 yards on offence but we're still waiting for the game's first touchdown in Philly.

The 49ers are stuck deep in their own territory at the two-minute warning for half-time.

  13. touchdown

Browns Touchdownpublished at 19:19 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

    Houston Texans 14-14 Cleveland Browns

They make their QBs tough these days, and Baker Mayfield is back in the game and back in the end zone, taking it himself from five yards out despite still favouring that shoulder just a bit.

He sees nothing else is on and takes off right up the middle, with the pump fake doing the job in holding off the defensive back, who otherwise would've been full steam ahead to crunch the QB.

  14. Trick play fails for Phillypublished at 19:17 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

San Francisco 49ers 0-3 Philadelphia Eagles

Shades of the Philly Special as the Eagles go for some trickeration on 4th & 3.

Both there's no repeat of that famous trick play from their Super Bowl 52 win.

The ball ends up in the hands of receiver Greg Ward, a quarterback in college, but his throw to the back of the end zone is just too high.

Huge effort by the San Fran defence to keep out the Eagles there.

  15. touchdown

Broncos Touchdownpublished at 19:16 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

    Denver Broncos 10-7 Jacksonville Jaguars

Denver take the lead in Florida and it's the emerging Tim Patrick who grabs another touchdown on a 12-yard pass from Teddy Bridgewater for the visitors.

  16. Dolphins Turnoverpublished at 19:14 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

    Buffalo Bills 14-0 Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins go for it on a fourth-and-two but the way their day is going they were never going to get it were they?

Tua out, 14-0 down, and now giving the ball back to Buffalo without putting any points on the board.

  17. Huge connection for the Eaglespublished at 19:11 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

San Francisco 49ers 0-3 Philadelphia Eagles

And just when the Niners think they're in the game, Jalen Hurts again goes deep right to Quez Watkins. This time the receiver keeps his feet in and makes a chunk of yards after the catch too.

It's a 91-yard connection as the Eagles go from their own two-yard line San Francisco's six in one fell swoop.

Field goalspublished at 19:10 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

    Kicks have been good everywhere!

The Jets and Raiders have reduced their deficit, the Broncos have got on the board while the Panthers have extended their shutout lead over the Saints.

New England Patriots 10-3 New York Jets (Matt Ammendola)

Las Vegas Raiders (Daniel Carlson) 6-7 Pittsburgh Steelers

Denver Broncos (Brandon McManus) 3-7 Jacksonville Jaguars

New Orleans Saints 0-10 Carolina Panthers (Zane Gonzalez)

  19. Finally a first down for San Franpublished at 19:07 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

San Francisco 49ers 0-3 Philadelphia Eagles

The 49ers have failed to earn a first down in the first quarter for the first time since week 10 of the 2016 season.

But they finally make one on their first possession of the second quarter.

Jimmy Garoppolo then gets them rolling, with 11 plays on the drive, but they still have nothing to show for their efforts. They have to punt after reaching Philly's 38-yard line.

  20. touchdown

Steelers Touchdownpublished at 19:04 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

Las Vegas Raiders 3-7 Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh finally take the lead at home against Las Vegas with Ben Roethlisberger making a quick hand-off to receiver Juju Smith-Schuster who was in motion in the backfield and he actually looks a bit like a running back as he battles over into the end zone.

Roethlisberger had early been drilled by two Vegas pass rushers, which looked nasty and it wa surprising that a flag wasn't thrown, but Big Ben is one tough hombre and it doesn't knock him off his stride.
